This beautiful and immaculately renovated ground floor studio on Shem Creek, in the heart of Mt Pleasant, SC is the perfect place to experience the charm of the Lowcountry. A large and private lot with separate pathways throughout have all added to the privacy of this studio. The studio is centrally located between Downtown Historic Charleston, the beaches of Sullivans Island, and Isle of Palms. This picturesque property provides views of a five-acre fresh water lake, marshland and gorgeous sunsets. Two kayaks, two bikes and two paddle boards are provided free-of-charge so that you can paddle down the creek to dinner or bike to the many restaurants and shops on Coleman Blvd. Guests are welcome to bring and dock their own boat for an extra charge (we are only 1.5 miles from the Charleston Harbor by water). This bird lovers paradise showcases marsh and fresh water birds throughout almost 2 acres of land (Bald eagles, ospreys and otters have been spotted on the lake). Enjoy the shade of the property's southern live oak trees or soak up the sun as you fish or crab off the deep water dock.

Creekside Gem

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Unit is a converted space in a private home with owners in residence. However, the unit is very private, with a separate entrance to the opposite side of the house. Views from the picture windows are of the water, with ducks and other birds visiting throughout the day. We were there 3 nights. The studio is very well-equipped, and could easily accommodate a longer stay. Owner provided thoughtful touches, such as basic condiments, coffee w/sweetener & cream, etc. (They even delivered a small bundt cake for a birthday while we were there.) Owners encouraged us to use and enjoy the property (dock, firepit, outdoor seating), and made us feel at home. Would definitely stay again.

Hidden gem

This space is by far one of our favorites that we’ve visited on both coasts. The studio is well appointed and spotless. The interior and grounds are aesthetically pleasing. The space fosters a relaxed state after a busy day exploring and within close proximity of dining and sightseeing. The hosts are accommodating, welcoming and easy to communicate with. The small thoughtful touches prove there is a lot of thought into making the guest comfortable. We look forward to visiting again.

Great hideaway

The property is beautiful and very peaceful. The studio is so comfortable, well-furnished, well-stocked and very clean. The owners were so helpful and made our stay easy and relaxing. I would highly recommend this vrbo - convenient to Charleston and to the beach. Great spot!!

Revisiting

Great to revisit. Always a good place to stay! Shem Creek is so nice for birds, etc and now Eagles. Rental is clean and fully equipped. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Can’t miss with this one. If needed, I will return again.

Relaxing getaway

Gorgeous property - everything we could have hoped for!

This Shem Creek Studio was everything we could have hoped for and more. Jackie & Chris were so friendly and thoughtful, and I can't say enough about the gorgeous views right outside the windows of the studio. The property was absolutely stunning. After long days of exploring the Charleston area it was so nice to be able to come back to the studio, sit outside and unwind, and simply enjoy the peaceful tranquility while watching the sunset. We'd definitely stay here again - highly recommended!

Anniversary getaway

Perfect place to unplug!

My husband and I absolutely couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay at the Studio on Shem Creek! The attention to detail to make the property as inviting as possible couldn’t have been better. Wonderful vacation

This is one of the best vacations we have ever had. The studio was perfect, squeaky clean, had all the amenities you could want, plus some. The property is gorgeous with tons of wildlife and beautiful water views. The studio was the perfect location for us, a very sort drive to Charleston and Sullivan's Island. We loved it so much and will be back!

Charleston Stay

We had an amazing stay. The property was beautiful and so clean! The view was incredible! We enjoyed our hosts so much! Shem Creek was above and beyond

Jackie was an excellent host and goes the extra mile to make your stay an incredible experience! In addition to the beautiful, clean, comfortable, private and tranquil space, there was a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for us to celebrate our anniversary! Also, Jackie also offered us a late checkout which was very helpful for our schedule that day! Thanks Jackie we will be back!!!

Charleston Getaway

We loved this studio apartment!! It was immaculate, with beautiful decor, and the owners were very kind and responsive to any questions I had for them. The property was so serene and in such a peaceful location - it was truly like an oasis! It was also centrally located for all the sites around the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area that we wanted to see. Everything was perfect! The property was made as if you are family. The bed is outstanding and they even have a noise machine to help you sleep. The property is only a short drive to Charleston and other attractions all within 15 to 20 minute drive. If you had a 10 star rating I would give this property 10 stars!!

Great Place!

Jackie was very responsive to any questions that we had, especially with the threat of a tropical storm. The studio space was perfect for my husband and me, with a private entrance. The extra added touches were really nice, like beach towels/chairs, shower products and delicious biscuits from a local resturaunt. The location, property and views of the river were beuatiful and we can't wait to for our return visit!

In order to stay home with my two children, my husband and I decided renting out the the Studio on the first floor would be a great opportunity to help subsidize our mortgage, and share our beautiful location.

Once you arrive, you will see what a unique piece of property this is. With Shem Creek on one side of the garden and a five acre lake on the other side, we enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the marsh. Yet we are a stones throw to the heart of Mt Pleasant. And only a 10 minute drive to the beach and 10 minutes from historic downtown Charleston.

You will be the only person sharing this property with us. You have access to the creek, kayaks and two bicycles to help you explore Mt Pleasant. Also available is the ability to bring your boat (up to 23 feet) and leave it in the water, so you can enjoy all the water activities Charleston has to offer without having to launch your boat daily. The dock has power and water to clean you boat and catch. There is good fishing off the dock for red fish, trout and flounder.
