Slightly Off Retreat is truly a gem: Peaceful, comfortable, close to everything! A unique, fun apartment that features a full bath, 2 bedrooms (queen and full beds), huge den, kitchen and laundry room. Most guests find it hard to leave the covered porch with the idyllic view.
This is an unusual find in historic Lockeland Springs, situated next to Shelby golf course with wooded acreage behind. Enjoy the view and solitude from a walkable neighborhood and central location. Downtown is 3 miles away (Uber/Lyft is easy & affordable), but much is close by strolling range -- Coffee shops, amazing restaurants, bakeries, bars and shops.
Located on the bottom level of a beautiful East Nashville home, Slightly Off Retreat is completely separated from the owner's residence upstairs, with its own entrance, driveway and carport. You will find board games, books, WiFi, 3 smart TVs, DVD/VHS/CD players (DVD/VHS library to play:). And because it’s music city, a guitar, banjo, and djembe are in the apartment. A stage sits in the back yard that hosts house concerts (don't worry. not during your stay;)
Shelby Park is a large city park a few blocks away; it features a public golf course, driving range, tennis courts, playgrounds, duck pond, ball fields, and walking paths in the wetlands preserve. Shelby Bottoms has miles of green ways to walk, jog, or bike alongside the Cumberland River. In the immediate neighborhood, you will find great local art, shop cool boutiques and eat at fantastic restaurants.

We loved our stay! We were traveling with our toddler and the toys and Disney posters were a hit! The view of the golf course was gorgeous & we enjoyed our time playing outside. The walkability of the neighborhood was great too - loved checking out Shelby Park & the Design school playground. Tons of great food options around too. Kelli was a great communicator and her place was perfect. The beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Our 5-night stay in Kelli's home was very comfortable, and we enjoyed all the amenities of home. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The view from the front porch of the golf course and the sunrise made it even nicer! We especially enjoyed morning walks in nearby Shelby Park. Kelli is a gracious host and even offered for us to check out later since we had a later flight time, which we appreciated. I would highly recommend SlightlyOffRetreat AND Nashville to anyone who's looking for a nice getaway,

Peaceful location with views and charm

Right next to Shelby Golf course, the home is comfortable and with lots of retro details and decor. Kelli, the host, is welcoming and very attentive. We plan to stay here another time.

40th birthday celebration

Awesome place in front of golf course. We loved the outside porch and dart board. Comfortable beds, quality linens… Kelli is also a great host.

Hardin and Duggar vacation

The property was amazing. Perfect for a family, couples or golf buddies(right next to the golf course). This property has everything you could want for a peaceful getaway. Kelli the property owner and manager was so helpful with an easy check in and out process. A Wonderful experience!!!!

Great East Nashville Spot

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The property is proudly advertised as a slightly off retreat with plenty of qwerks to make it unique and special. The neighborhood is great and the host is fantastic. I highly recommend this property if looking for something off the beaten path.

Wonderful home and host

This is a beautiful place to stay. Kelli is a fabulous host. Situated right on the golf course great for privacy and peace and quiet. House has everything you need. Great front porch to relax on and have a morning coffee. If I ever get back to Nashville - I would stay here again

Great host, awesome space

We traveled with our 6 year old and 4 year old sons and this was a perfect spot for our family! Our boys loved all of the toys and movie paraphernalia in the living room. The space is very eclectic and the outdoor area is wonderful. Kelli was a very responsive and gracious host. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place!

Very nice place that is conveniently tucked away in East Nashville. Easy Uber ride downtown or walking distance to the Five Points. The highlight, in my opinion, is the carport hangout area. View of the golf course, comfy chairs to sit and have morning coffee or beers at night. Next time I’m in Nashville, I’ll definitely want to try and stay here again.

Great place in East Nashville

Slightly Off Retreat is the perfect place to stay for a visit. It’s in a hip transitioning neghborhood in East Nashville that is a quick Uber ride to downtown and lower Broadway. The apartment itself is clean and cozy. Very cute and eclectic decor, great patio with Christmas lights where you can hang out. Kelli was very accommodating even though she wasn’t in town. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kelli!

Nashville - July

Very nice!! Clean, well-kept. Everything we could need was there. Great view. Very good neighborhood. We communicated with the owner a couple times and she was prompt in her replies (almost immediately). We met her outside and had a good conversation.

Home away from home

What an amazing property to spend a weekend with your friends! Everything was nice, clean and organized for us when we arrived. Probably the best part was waking up in the mornings on the porch overlooking the golf course, listening to music, and spending time with friends! The fire place was a great addition, which we used two nights in a row. Kelli was amazing and even came down a couple time to check up on us! By far one of the best rental properties I’ve been to in a long time

Great Place to Stay

Clean, comfortable, and convenient, to all attractions and downtown Nashville. The bonus is the nice restaurants, and bars right in the neighborhood. If you like Golf, there is a public golf course that is right behind the house. The first tee is about two blocks away. We will be back. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) I give this house an 11. Thank you Kelli. Your the best

The coolest stay in Nashville

This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind property in a great location with an exceptional host. Kelli thought of everything when furnishing this place with all kinds of fun games, instruments, and retro décor that will keep you entertained even on a rainy day. Outdoor area includes a cozy heated hangout space and a gorgeous view of a sprawling golf course. It was about a 10 - 15 minute drive to everything we wanted to do, which included downtown Nashville, Broadway, the Grand Ole Opry and the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort (worth exploring for a lunch or dinner date!), the Parthenon and Centennial Park, Nissan Stadium, Belmont Mansion, and much more! Had a great time here with my wife on our first trip to Nashville together and we can't wait to come back.

I've been a resident of East Nashville, specifically historic Lockeland Springs, since 1996. Grew up on Nashville's west side, and LOVE my city (and this neighborhood, in particular). I'm a realtor who has had a BLAST since 2013 renting to folks from all over the world.

Independent, creative, odd-ball spirit embues this neighborhood and that's right up my alley. It's given birth to a terrific restaurant and shopping scene, while a true community spirit of neighbors helping neighbors rules strong. Shelby park and Shelby Bottoms (a wetland preserve) are a few blocks over and offer great walking and biking trails.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The apartment looks out on historic Shelby golf course. It is ncredibly unique to stare out over quiet rolling hills as the sun comes up or moon rises, and see hawks, deer, owls, fox.... The carport is awesome and the porch is superb. Walkable coffee shop, bars & restaurants. Super quiet but a quick 3mile ride to the mayhem of downtown:)
