Back deck with view of Currituck Sound - gorgeous sunsets! Front deck off 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Short walk to the ocean, beautiful sunrises! 2.5 mi. north of "downtown" Duck with paved walk/bike path all the way! 1.4 mi. south of The Sanderling Resort!

You can search "bike rentals in Duck, NC" if you are interested in renting bicycles during your stay. Search "beach gear in Duck, NC" if you would like to get your gear when you arrive. You can also search, “golf cart rentals in Duck, NC.”

There are great places to eat nearby in "downtown" Duck. Sit on the back deck at Sunset Grill with outdoor bar overlooking the Currituck Sound and watch gorgeous sunsets. Blue Point is awesome, located right on the Sound as well. There is also Roadside Grill, Duck Deli (great for breakfast, too!), among others. Search "restaurants in Duck, NC" and you'll see a number of great places to eat. Lots of great shops to visit as well. Don't forget to stop by Duck Donuts for fresh hot "homemade-style" donuts! Search "shops in duck, nc" to see the many great shops to explore."

Pets: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets because we have hard floors throughout the house that might scratch, and in consideration of travelers with pet allergies. Thanks for your consideration in advance!

What a great house! It was comfortable, the house had everything we needed, the location was perfect. Everything was clean and Jim was the sweetest for checking in on us via message while we were there to make sure everything was going great.

The place was very cozy, clean, and had plenty of room for our family of 4. The host was very easy to communicate with and provided detailed instructions that made check in and out easy. We would definitely book here again, but would rent a golf cart for easier beach trips.

Jim and Connie’s home away from home is so perfect and well-stocked with extras. The place is spacious, clean, tasteful, and homey. The walk to the beach is a cinch. Our three and six-year-olds walked it every day without an issue. The toys and beach gear were a plus for our family. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and courteous. The location is quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend Pop’s Delight!

We really enjoyed this property. The owners were easy to communicate either and the home had everything you could need for a pleasant stay. The beach is an east 20 minutes walk and we made use of the beach wagon to carry our chairs and gear. The outdoor shower is perfect for keeping sand out of the home. We used it each time we returned from the beach. Can’t wait to come back.

The property was clean with a well stocked kitchen. There were books for kids and adults along with plenty of games for rainy days. The beach was wonderful and a short walk from the house. The communication from the owners was timely and very informative.

Wonderful house in great location

Comfortable home in great location--nice view of the sound, a short walk to the beach and a short bike ride or drive to Duck restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Pop’s Delight was as delightful as its name implies. The decor is soothing and refreshing, with cute little touches throughout. Although there is a beach theme throughout the property, it is subtle enough to feel comfortable and not overwhelming. The great room and kitchen make up half of the living space in an open, flowing room that would be ideal for families to gather and socialize. The views from the great room and deck are stunning, and the wildlife that’s out there! With decks on both ends, you can enjoy (or avoid) the sun all day if you want. The bedrooms are also nicely decorated, with the beach theme in simple but well done colors and decor. The bathrooms are nice (and I heard that they may be going through an upgrade soon). The neighborhood is relatively quiet (there were a lot of houses being worked on while I was there) and the walk to the beach is very easy. The house is more than a couple miles from town, so be prepared to walk, or bring your bike if you don’t want to drive all the time. The only drawback to the property is that all of the living space is on the second floor and the indoor stairs are fairly steep. I ended up using the deck stairs for hauling things up and down. Otherwise, this was a delightful place to relax! Definitely worth it!

Great Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The place was clean, comfy and the views made for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be back.

Great Vacation!

The Family enjoy the home and had a Great Vacation! The home had everything we needed for our stay and the beach gear and beach buggy cart was very helpful and we used everyday on our trip. The Sunset views from the deck in the evenings were amazing!

Great long weekend

I stayed at Jim’s place with my husband and toddler, and a family we are friends with. It was a great stay, convenient location with a gorgeous view of the sound. Loved that there was a closet full of toys for the little ones to play with. We’d absolutely stay again!

Duck outer banks

Great property for our family, we live in Montana and our family is in Raleigh. It was nice to have a place where we could all be together. Everything worked and the instructions were helpful to check in and out. Communication with the host was good and easy through the app

So nice

The house was very convenient to the beach and the walk is all through neighborhood so no crossing heavy traffic. We loved the porches and lots of toys for our kids.

This is my wife Connie’s mother and father's former home. You will see the "Pop's Delight" sign hanging in the great room. They loved the house and beach so much! We know you and your family and friends will have a great time at our house! The outdoor shower is to die for! Motion sensor light for nighttime showering! Quiet neighborhood just a few miles north of "downtown" Duck with walk/bike path all the way! Just a few minutes walk to the ocean and across the street from the Currituck Sound. Great views of gorgeous sunsets from the back deck! Hoping to host your stay-cation soon!
