Really nice property with great Bay Area views from all the rooms. My family and I enjoyed our visit and would stay there again in near future. Shannon is a very accommodating host.

The rooms were very clean. Shannon, the host, got back to me almost immediately to answer any questions I had. There was a beautiful view from every room.

Beautiful Views! Cozy Stay!

Shannon was great and responsive as promised. The house was perfect, views were incredible and our stay was super peaceful and relaxing!

Beautiful home. Exceptionally clean and well organized. Everything you need and more. Views of Sunsets on one side and views of sunrises on the other. Couldn’t ask for better place. Would definitely go back.

An Enjoyable Week

We all enjoyed our stay in Barnstable. The cottage had excellent views of the harbor. Each of the three bedrooms had its own harbor view. We enjoyed a wonderful week of whale watching, fine food, and an excellent place to stay. Barnstable was the perfect place to begin exploring the rest of Cape Cod.

Best Vacation!

The house is beautiful and the location could not have been better! Shannon was great! Thank you so much! We watched the sunrise from bed and sunset in the adirondack chairs by the beach. Will definitely be back to stay here again next year!

quiet ocean front with great views. Great town

The property has plenty of space with a well thought out layout. The kitchen is has all that is needed to cook. It is very quiet location. The town is a historic small town with many sites to visit. It has great local food and a great grocery store. We spent all of are time in Barnstable.

This coastal home is a slice of paradise in a beautiful quiet upscale neighborhood in a historic town. It is everything we had hoped for in a Cape Cod rental. All you have to do is sit on one of the decks, at the picnic table or look out the window for -stunning sunrises and sunsets, watching the tides come in and out on the sparkling blue water, small boats going by, people clamming and the gulls and herons eating. The rocky water entry is full of shells at low tide creating wonderland of sea treasures and marine life. Great place to kayak and the water is much warmer than the ocean side for swimming. While neighbors are close behind you, everyone is very respectful. Great neighborhood and town to walk around and look at all the beautiful gardens fill of hydrangea of all colors. The house is clean, well kept, nicely furnished, with comfortable beds, and the kitchen is supplied with all you need for great meals that even impressed the gourmet cook in our family. The outside shower was a favorite feature. There was always a breeze/wind making the house comfortable so we never used the AC. The hosts were very thoughtful in helping supply items for a great vacation. Shannon is responsive and helpful. It was an A experience. I highly recommend it.

INCREDIBLE !!!

The house is located in a very very nice neighborhood and was so clean and immaculate. It had everything that we needed for our week long stay. The views of the water, sunrises, sunsets and the lighthouse off in the distance were absolutely beautiful !!! It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The information packet that Shannon sends a couple weeks before your stay has everything in it that you need to know about the property and area. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

CA Getaway

Shannon, the host, was an outstanding communicator before and during our stay. That is so important to us. On the water -- location, location, location!! Very clean!! Loved having Nirvana, the coffeeshop with sandwiches right in town. 3 bedrooms but only 1 bathroom upstairs. Perfect for 1 couple or couple with young kids. Looking forward to staying next year!!

Fantastic location!

My wife and I rented the place for a week in late October and were joined mid-week by another couple. We had a wonderful time, and would gladly rent this place again. There was excellent communication with the host before and during the rental. The kitchen is well stocked. There were also plenty of blankets, extra sheets, towels, etc. to go around. Of note, there is one fantastic bedroom on the 2nd floor, and two "acceptable" rooms, which are comfortable, but not as grand as the one with views north/east/west and access to the 2nd floor porch. The 1/2 bath downstairs is quite small. You also should pay attention to tides, as a walk on the rocky beach is limited to an hour or so on either side of low tide. There are strict warnings about staying within the property lines above the high-tide line. Plan accordingly. Overall, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay with excellent sunrise/sunsets and views of the waterfowl, boats and distant lighthouse. Convenient to Barnstable village and close enough to the mid-cape and Hyannis ferries.

Sunrise and moonset - all at one place!

It was incredible to have views of the bay from three sides of the house! We saw sunrise, sunset and moonset. It was beautiful. The house was fully equipped, very clean and even better than pictured. Shops and restaurants, paddleboat and kayak rentals (and the whale watch boat) were all close by. Our host was responsive and very kind. It is a delightful site and one I would definitely hope to return to.

Barnstable Get away vacation

I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Location; quiet, great place for water activities, (bring water shoes) walking into town, (town has dining, market, and near wharf for fresh fish)and near Cape Cod Bike Trail. House, clean, amazing views, and had ALL the necessary things needed. I mean EVERYTHING. (of course a out door shower) Owner, attentive, helpful, available and wanting to please the guest and open to suggestions for improvement. Felt so so comfortable and like at home away from home, with a warm source of information in the host.

Beautiful escape in this home away from home

Had a wonderful experience from beginning to end staying at this property!! House was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for a week away at the beach. Fully stocked kitchen, enough space to unpack, large dining table. Shannon was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Location was so quiet and beautiful. Wonderful for my kids and elderly parents. A nice walk or to quick drive to town and to great restaurants and beaches. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Amazing views

My family had a wonderful time staying at this location, the view beat our expectations. You can see the sun rise and set from sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the front lawn, typically with breathtaking skies. We rented paddle boards and kayaks and explored the coast and inlets surrounding the property. When a (small) issue arose, the property owner was responsive and kind. We would love to stay here again for future trip.

Location location!

If you want to get away from the hustle of everyday life this place is it!! The location is unbeatable. Quiet with 180 degree water views. When the tide is low you get your own private beach (make sure to bring water shoes for the rocks) The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and town is a quick walk away if you want to grab coffee or go out to eat. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Beautiful Ocean Views

The views were beautiful as you could see sunrise and sunset. It is a very serene location. The owner was very responsive to any questions. The beach area is very small and a has a sailboat on the property that takes a good amount of space on the small beach area, that you are restricted to with the imaginary property lines to the water. We also felt we were under constant surveillance with the door camera on the porch and yard and we would periodically receive texts about property lines, umbrella should be down on windy day. There is extra parking behind Barnstable Court House which is only 4 minutes way. If you are looking for a relaxing place and beautiful sceneries this is it. The place also came with beach passes for other local beaches that were beautiful too.

Absolutely amazing vacation!!

This was our first vacation in over 18 months since the start of the pandemic and we could not be happier with this location and overall experience. The house was exactly as listed, well maintained with breathtaking views. We have young children and could not have asked for a More perfect location for them to play and enjoy the beach. Rocky beach out front was perfect for playing and we also enjoyed the local beach only about 5-10 minutes away. Shannon was an absolute pleasure to have as a host. She communicated quickly and clearly and was so responsive both before and during our stay. We certainly look forward to visiting again! Thank you for sharing your home with us Shannon!! It was one of our best vacations and it was so nice to meet you!!

Happy 40th Celebration

All of us loved the comfortable home & the scenic panoramic views We knew about the rocky beach but we were not expecting it to be as rocky. The two car parking situation was a bit odd with a very peculiar neighbor. We all lived happily for the week with the minor drawbacks but I would suggest new mattresses, we didn’t find them too comfy. Shannon was lovely and answered all of our questions and needs!

Wonderful getaway

We had a wonderful two week stay at this rental. It is clean and well stocked. The open floor plan was great and the views were beautiful. Since we had little kids we appreciated that it was decorated enough to have a coastal feel but not with so many Knick knacks that we had to constantly be on guard. The location is beautiful. The rocky beach had tons of wildlife to explore and was great for swimming. We also spent a number of days at Millway beach with the provided parking permit which was a beautiful sandy bayside beach. The owner was very responsive and we would definitely stay again!

Wonderful View

This property was just as advertised. The view was amazing. My teenage daughters loved swimming (especially at high-tide) at the house so much that we only went to the beach twice. I recommend water shoes because it is rocky. The area is nice and quiet and walking distance to restaurants, etc. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Great place to stay!
