Spectacular Family-Friendly Log Cabin Style Home Near Grand Lake /Rocky Mtn NP!

You and your family will create untold wonderful memories in our beautiful, spacious home! Located five minutes from both Grand Lake and the western entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, you will find everything you need for an unforgettable getaway. On the main floor, a well-stocked, beautifully renovated kitchen opens into a spacious great room with a stone fireplace that provides the perfect amount of warmth and a dining room with table that easily seats 10. A large but cozy master bedroom and an ensuite bathroom complete the floor. Two comfortable bedrooms and an entertainment-area loft are found on the upper floor and the basement features a bunk room that can contain all the kids (or adults too!).

Especially in the summer, you will enjoy the outdoor decks – a large one in the front, equipped with a barbecue grill and plenty of seating, and a smaller one in the back with spectacular views of Mount Baldy.

Hiking, golfing, snowmobiling (you can ride in and out to many accessible trails), cross country skiing, water activities at Grand Lake and the incredible beauty of the Rocky Mountains are all at your fingertips. Skiing is also nearby, just 25 minutes from the family-favorite slopes of Ski Granby Ranch. Moose and deer are frequent visitors in our neighborhood, and of course viewing herds of all kinds of wildlife – elk, big horn sheep, moose and deer is readily available at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our home is in the quiet and appealing Columbine Lake (CLCC) neighborhood. CLCC is a private, covenant-controlled community. CLCC does not permit renters to use Columbine Lake, its clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, or OHVs. Parking is not allowed on Columbine Lake Road or any community property (though there is ample parking at our home). Plan on using one of the three local lakes (Grand, Granby and Shadow Mountain) for all your lake activities.

Sorry, no pets allowed due to extreme animal allergies in our family. Deposit will be retained if evidence of animals is found.

This is our second year renting this property and it both times it was wonderful. The property is exactly as promised with a wonderful mountain feel. Our host was quick to respond with any inquiry. We’ve already rented for next year and cannot wait to go back

Amazing location! The house gave us plenty of room to spread out with adults and children. It was clean and comfortable. Communication with owner was very prompt.

Beautiful log cabin home!Spacious kitchen, dining and living room. Bedrooms were nicely decorated and situated to give each guest their own space as well their own bathroom. Two decks to enjoy the weather and countryside. Close to the lake or downtown for hours of fun. We would return, if reunion was Midwest again. This was a very nice, clean home. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. The host had a good offering of kitchen items for use and we appreciated the games and access to Streaming service for the times when the weather didn't cooperate with our outdoor plans.

Annual Grand Lake Visit

Family vacation

The cabin was great, listed as the pictures we sure had a great time we did lots of cooking during our stay, the neighborhood is very calm and the people are very nice. Overall a great place to stay I definitely loved the balcony backyard view surrounded with mountains.

Great place to spend with family and friends

Perfect for our family trip!

Our family LOVED staying at this house. The property was clean, had everything we needed, and was such a great location for a little family getaway to Grand Lake. We had a lovely walk around Columbine Lake one evening since it was right there, and overall it was absolutely perfect for our 5 adults and 4 kids.

Grand Lake Stay July 2023

Our house was perfect for our 2 families to explore Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding areas and come back to relax as a group. It was just a 5 minute drive to the park which was absolutely awesome. Wildlife in the area was stunning. Would stay here again if we are back in the area.

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. Great location to so many activities and we got to see 2 Moose in the summer! Owners are easy to communicate with too. Our family had a great time!

Great place to stay

My family had so much fun staying in this cabin. I thought because it was in a community we wouldn't see a lot of wild life, but we actually saw moose, elk, fox and a weasel. We saw the moose right off the master balcony.

The Cornish Family resides in Denver, Colorado and loves playing in the Rocky Mountains. Because our kids are grown, we can't all be together all the time, so we've decided to rent our our home. This is the first mountain home we have owned as a family, but have enjoyed renting in the past. We have some of our best family memories in mountain cabins.
