Peaceful and perfect vacay

This is a wonderful cottage - best beach view ever! Recommend for families & couples, etc.Comfortable all-around and the cart was great to get around and explore the island.As previous Melrose Club ten years members, we are pleased to find this area still memorable and a gem of an island!! Our thanks to the owners.

An Amazing Property

The rental was clean and spacious. It provided the perfect space for our group of six. It had the best view of the ocean from the second story porch area. It was a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Refuge from the wind and cold

Stayed for the Daufuskie Island marathon, which was met with some pretty cold wet windy weather. House was beautiful, well equipped, and a block from the beach.

Well worth it

Beautiful view

We enjoyed the beautiful view and the close proximity to the beach. Patti, the owner was easygoing and great at helping us. We stayed for two months and it was easy getting groceries. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come again!

Perfect condo!

This condo is in the perfect location to explore the island and enjoy the beach. Condo is well equipped with all kitchen supplies, and high end appliances. Beds are super comfortable, fans in all rooms, and large bathrooms. Can’t wait to book our next stay!

Little slice of heaven

My family of 6 stayed here for a week in June. The property was very clean and the perfect amount of space for us. The location is not technically ocean front BUT there is no house in front of this property so its easy access and the view was stunning. We would love to return next year!

Wonderful Week Away

We had a wonderful week staying at Melrose on the Beach. The front porch was wonderful with a great view of the ocean. Patti's condo had everything our family needed with nice extra touches such as sunscreen, beach chairs and beach towels. Patti also was easy to contact and provided great information for our family as this was our first time visiting the island.

Loved the ocean view

It was great to be able to sleep hearing the ocean and see the view from the porch! The place felt like home and all the kitchen essentials to be able to cook meals! We hope to be back! ❤️

Great getaway to Daufuskie

Patti’s condo is spacious and lovely with a beautiful screened porch and view of the ocean. She has stocked her home with all the essentials and additional thoughtful touches such as sunscreen and nice beach chairs. Melrose beach is a great location, and Daufuskie is a peaceful retreat from hectic mainland life.

Fabulous the condo was very well equipped spacious with a large front porch with a beautiful view very glad we chose this unitWe were provided with a golf cart it worked very well and unlike others it was covered and had windows this was great in chilly weather

Perfection!

Lovely villa. Beautifully decorated with thoughtfulness in every detail. Management made us feel comfortable and cared for; and with the beach just outside our weekend could not have been more relaxing. Thank you for sharing with us. We'll be back!

First time visitors

My husband and I were first time visitors to Dafuskie and we absolutely loved it. Such a relaxing place to be. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed hanging out at the Old Crab Company and the distillery. We had yummy drinks and food at both place. Patti was great to work with. Susan was on vacation but Pat picked us up and took us back to dock and he was great too! Dan Foulds from Savannah was our captain and we really enjoyed meeting him as well.

Paradise

If you are looking for night life, restaurants, put-put and the sort, skip the island. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, low-key vacation THIS IS IT! It requires a lot of planning with packing, ferry, and groceries but it is well worth the effort. The villa will not disappoint -- the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The view from the porch is unrivaled - you can't get any better than this!!! Our family of three and dog had a fantastic time and will be booking again.

Great Getaway!

Was a short trip after the Thanksgiving holiday. Was our first visit to Daufuskie Island. Susan was always quick to respond to my messages and was very helpful and friendly. The house is wonderful and exactly as shown and described. Well designed and decorated. Great view. The beach is nice. Not large waves but that may have just been the time that we were there..? Everyone we met were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely look to come back again.

Delightful!

This property is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful location! We thoroughly enjoyed the unobstructed ocean view and the soothing sounds of the gentle surf. The beach was clean and the neighbors were friendly. Patti was very helpful, and her place is squeaky clean with many thoughtful touches that give it a homey feeling. The island was fun to explore - we even saw an armadillo family! Be sure to check out the Daufuskie Soap Factory and the School Grounds Coffee shop! Next time we will bring a fishing rod and more dinner groceries so we can stay in and just enjoy our home away from home. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Outstanding Location, Everything We Wanted + !

This was our 1st stay on Daufuskie, and we hit the jackpot with this rental. The view of the beach/water was amazing from our screened in porch... and throughout the villa! I appreciated how well stocked the villa was, its cleanliness, and all of the extra touches such as essentials like sunscreen and laundry detergent. Our pick up and drop off to the dock was seamless. It was just my young daughter and myself, and we felt entirely safe and comfortable. We felt as though we were going to a "home" away from home VS a RENTAL. That's huge for us from a value and experience aspect.
