This is a gorgeous little cottage didn’t even realise it was there. Close to Windermere and a very thoughtful welcome bottle of wine and biscuits. Everything you need very comfortable would definitely stay here again

Amazingly well maintained property, has all the facilities, I have been to many, but this property by far was one of the best, cosy and well managed, I will definitely be coming back.

This property, although small (which is a part of its charm), is lovely, very clean, ideally situated and furnished to a very high standard. It is well stocked with all you could need and instructions from Paul and Wendy were excellent. Highly recommended.

The hosts Paul and Wendy were excellent with communication before we arrived, sending really helpful directions and information. The House was immaculate and beautifully furnished with brilliant amenities with great instructions on how to use everything. There were helpful leaflets, books and brochures about the Lake District and there were so many lovely touches that made the stay really special. I can't rate Troutbeck Cottage highly enough! A really enjoyable visit!

Very comfortable and quiet location. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils. The bedrooms, one on the small side, are both upstairs and each has its own bathroom. The beds are comfortable if a little too soft. The shower is very small and its impossible to run the water when not in the shower so you will need to suffer through cold water until it warms. There is assigned parking but finding the driveway initially is not easy. Afterwards its a little challenging to turn onto the main road as its hard to see traffic in either direction and the road tends to be very busy at peak times. It is centrally located in the Lake District with easy reach of town and many options for restaurants or supermarkets. If you're not driving there is a nearby bus stop. Overall a fine stay.

This was the fourth time that we have stayed at the Cottage, which has become a real home from home. Everything about it is first rate - it’s spotlessly clean, very well appointed and ideally located for a Lakes getaway, whether travelling by car, bus or on foot. Paul is an excellent and very responsive host who is always on hand should any issues arise. Thoroughly recommended!

The property was beautiful, a good base for travelling around the Lake District. Was equipped with all we needed for a 3 night stay. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised as property looks better in person than on photos. There was a welcome pack on arrival that was well received after a long journey. It seems everything was considered by owners.Beds and pillows were very comfortable and we all slept so well which added to the whole holiday experience.

Perfect little cottage so beautifully decorated. Amazing attention to detail to ensure our stay was as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Extremely well presented with all the amenities you need, all of a high, exceptional quality. All recently decorated and highly maintained. Very comfortable bed and bathroom facilities. Would highly recommend a stay. Having a car is useful as there is only a petrol station with Spa village stores in Troutbeck Bridge but there are plenty of regular bus services and Windermere town centre is about a 25 minute walk away.

The perfect Christmas stay!

What a beautiful cottage, great quiet location but close enough to Windermere and Bowness. The cottage have everything you need and is beautifully decorated and modern, it was home from home during our Christmas stay this year. The Christmas tree and welcoming basket was a lovely touch from the host.
