Excellent communication from Penny - everything was as described and the accommodation was warm and cosy on arrival which was a big bonus! Lots of space and everything you need for a family of four. The on site convenience store and bar and restaurant was really handly. Would definitely stay again!

The host was very accommodating and helped immediately with whatever we needed. The house was super clean, well organised, cozy and comfortable. It had all kitchen facilities one could need, extra supplies, clear instructions on using wifi/heating etc, and had a beautiful entrance exterior. The only thing I did not like was the huge spider web outside the main house door and windows so it got me a bit conscious at night.

Property was as described. Little disappointed that the patio doors didnt open onto the terrace, this was at the back of the lodge, which could do with a bit of a clean as a lot of cobwebs. The dining table seats could do with being recovered as they were quite gubby. The park itself is nothing special and lacked character but all in all a handy place to explore the Lake District

Pleasant stay

The lodge was beautiful pity had to leave early than expected due family commitment. Marine and lake was down the road. Bowness on windermere was 7min drive away. We went for a relaxing couple of days and got that. Property had everything you need in your home.Would book again

We only stayed for a couple of nights and the property was close to the lake and clean. Communication before our stay was good. The lodge was clean but well worn in places, and a few bits and bobs were broken. The beds were comfortable and it was handy to have fans available as it was hot in the lodge. Lots of kitchen utensils if you needed them, but remember to bring tea/coffee. We found the fee of over £50 to go swimming very expensive, as we really only wanted to use the pool once over the weekend, and there wasn’t an option to pay for a single swim. We didn’t find the staff in the leisure club very helpful. All in all we had a pleasant stay.

After visiting the Lake District for the past 14 years I was fortunate to have purchased Lakeside 15 in May 2016. I class the Lakes as my second home, I absolutely love the scenery, tranquility and the surrounding areas of the Lake District. I live in Wiltshire and work full but visit the lodge on a regular basis, to maintain and deep the lodge. It is very important to me the lodge is kept up to a high standard for guests to enjoy thier stay.
I want to share with you what I have enjoyed over the years visiting the Lake District. I welcome any constructive feedback and would be very grateful if you could take the time to give me your reviews.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

When I was looking to buy a lodge I went up to look at 3 in total. When I looked at this one I knew it was the one, the sun was shining through the patio doors as we entered, the room was bright, sunny and open planned. You could see the Lake out of the twin bedroom window, it just felt right. It is a 2 minute walk to the marina and picnic area. I think the combination of the spacious open planned lodge and being so close to the Lake closed the deal for me.
The property is in an ideal spot to chill out and enjoy your stay, in a great location.
You can return after a full days adventures, activities, walking, shopping to simply relax and cosy up in the lodge, or sit outside on the surrounding decking for alfresco dining. It is close to adventure out in the evening to one of the local towns, with many restaurants or pubs to choose from. Bowness (my favourite place) has plenty of places to eat and drink. Whatever you choose to do, I know you will have a fantastic time.
