Cottage pittoresque avec vue exceptionnelle sur les collines, près de l'A66 et de Keswick

Bram Cragg Cottage a été entièrement rénové en 2014 et a été construit en 1896 dans le prolongement de la ferme Bram Cragg qui date de 1688.
Le Bram Cragg Cottage est approuvé par Quality Cumbria qui inspecte annuellement l'hébergement.
Le chalet est à 2, 5 miles au sud-ouest de l'A66 et à 4, 5 miles de Keswick.
Il y a des vues de toutes les fenêtres de Skiddaw, Blencathra, High & Low Rigg et la pente imposante de Bram Cragg derrière le chalet.
Il y a trois chambres pouvant accueillir jusqu'à six personnes toute l'année.
Une chambre est en-suite et il y a une salle de bain avec douche séparée.
En bas a un salon avec poêle à bois - fuel fourni - de septembre à avril.
Cuisine avec coin repas à côté du salon et toilettes et vestiaire en bas des escaliers.
Il y a un parking pour jusqu'à trois voitures à côté des deux entrées.

We had a fantastic stay at Bram Cragg Cottage. The property was even better than expected and all the 5 star reviews were 100% accurate. The cottage was cosy, clean and comfortable and well located for exploring the Lake District. I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone.

Genuinely spacious and gorgeous cottage. Very well equipped including the kitchen - home from home. Set in a beautiful location with superb views all around. Wow, what a find!Very comfortable and very well equipped cottage that is perfectly located to explore Keswick and the surrounding area. Plenty of walks available from the door too.Very peaceful and relaxing setting, and the summerhouse and patio area are perfect for unwinding after a day on the fells.We can't recommend this property enough.

This is the fifth time we have stayed in this lovely, comfortable cottage. It is set in a very peaceful location, and has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Gillian and Duncan are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic holiday in a top class location

This was our 4th stay at this wonderful property, and we are booked to return in the autumn.The location is perfect for us - secluded, yet only a 12 minute drive to Keswick, and 25 minutes to Ambleside.It's the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in!

Wonderful stay

Excellent property in a wonderful location

We enjoyed a great week in this lovely property - probably the best self catering cottage we have ever stayed in. We have already booked to return in October! Within easy reach of Keswick, the cottage combines a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with great access to to all essential services.

Duncan was born in Threlkeld & Gillian in Newlands. Duncan is a builder by trade and I worked on the family dairy & sheep farm before raising our daughter & son, helping on building projects then running the holiday lets at Bram Cragg from 1993. Duncan, since fell running, is a keen mountain biker a sport that has taken our family all over the UK. Gillian has been taking part in local dog agility events since 2006.
Any spare time and we walk the fell tops with our dogs & family.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Bram Cragg Farm being owned & loved by Gillians grandparents since 1974 and has been in our controle since 1993 and ownership from 2008. We renovated & developed it until 2014 with Duncan using his 35 years of building expertise & family help to make it the holiday choice of many returning guests. You can't help but fall in love with the setting of Bram Cragg set among the fells in a sceinic valley. The 50 acre of land is now stocked with our neighbourghs quality limousan breeding beef cattle and swaledale or cheviot breeding sheep from April to October and we maintain the land all the year round.

Bram Cragg Farm looks unchanged with the oldest part dating from 1688. Buildings were added as dairy and sheep farming grew and mining, railways and reservoirs expanded the population. We have been allowed to develop the byre and hay loft above to provide holiday accommodation with lovely views and we replaced two existing static caravans with two larger modern lodges.
These have more comfort and space for up to four guests, more privacy for all guests but with open unrestricted views of fells & fields.
