Brilliant!

Fabulous location, close to the city centre and within walking distance of everything you could need! We enjoyed every bit of our stay and had everything we could possibly need. The apartment is beautifully presented and perfect for a family. We will be back.

This is a gem of a place in central York!

This is a gem of a place in central York. Lovely large living room with big sofas. Comfy beds. Very clean. Was the absolute perfect place to stay for a friends weekend away. Close to everything .. pubs, restaurants, Tesco metro. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to others

Exactly what you need

We were a very short notice booking after being let down in a different accommodation. Lydia in the office was extremely accommodating, arranging an early check in and a late check out for us. The place was easy to find and access as the instructions were so clear. It's not one of those interesting, medieval buildings but it is clean, warm and in a very central location. I'd stay here again.

Amazing place to stay

The location is absolutely perfect. Everything you could need right on your doorstep. Easy access to attractions. The apartment is spacious and very clean. York Boutique Lets are very helpful. This was our second time staying and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

Recommend

We chose this home because it had loads of space for a family, a twin bedroom for the children and was close to the centre with inclusive parking. It did not disappoint! Location wise this home is just a few minutes walk from the shambles and all the city centre attractions and amenities. Lots of eateries all close by and Tesco express and Sainsbury’s local all close by too. It was lovely to not have to worry about parking when so close to the centre, meant we could head out for the day and not worry about getting a space when we got back. There is a bit of noise from the street but this is to be expected for the location and it didn’t bother us too much. We had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this holiday home.

Central Location close to everything

Fantastic apartment on Fossgate so close to everything that York has to offer. We had everything we needed for a great few days sight seeing York and we will return sometime in the future .Very clean and welcoming Check in instructions were very clear and parking was such a bonus

Excellent stay in York

We had a wonderful stay at the Malt Shovel in York. The location is fantastic—just a short 4-minute walk from the city center, making it easy to explore all the sights. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Communication with the staff was smooth and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Perfect

This was the perfect apartment for our friends weekend away. So spacious, spotlessly clean, well appointed and in a perfect location. Everything was on our doorstep and despite being located on a bus route, was comfortably quiet at night. We’ve had such a great trip that we are already looking to book again. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to spend some time in this beautiful city.

Perfect from start to finish

From booking we were given instructions on the property and contact details. It was easy to find and very clear instructions on how to get in. The accommodation was amazing clean and spacious and was good value for money. We were staying as part of our reenactment at York Roman festival but would definitely book again for a holiday or weekend away.

Lovely Apartment

The apartment is just lovely, elegantly decorated with lovely small touches. Easy walk into everything York has to offer especially all the restaurants that are close by. Very well equipped, kitchen has all the things you need if you want to stay in. The bathrooms were great, loads of hot water and lovely soft big bath sheets. All the linen was fresh and clean. Also very clear, easy to follow instructions and a parking space with good access to the apartment. We loved it and will be going back. Highly recommend.

2nd stay here in 5 years

This is the second time in 5 years we have stayed in this apartment, it was as good as I remembered. What makes it special is the location in the centre of York and the inclusive secure parking which means you can arrive on your first day, park your car at no extra cost and then walk to everything over the next few days. It’s great to be able to walk within ten minutes to all the attractions, bars, restaurants and local Tesco or Sainsbury’s. The apartment itself is clean and comfortable, ideal for visiting York and surrounding areas. Hope to return next year.

Nice flat in a good location.

I think a hand drawn map with some of the other shops other than the green furniture shop (which we never found ) would have helped. Otherwise a nice flat in a good location.

Great stay

The flat was in an excellent position for easy walking distance to many of York’s attractions. We didn’t use the car at all during our stay. It was clean and spacious with everything you would need for a city getaway. We would very much consider staying here again in the future. We would recommend getting a York Pass for anyone staying in the city wishing to visit multiple attractions.

Fantastic stay

Myself and 3 friends booked this apartment right in the heart of the city centre. Great location with everything on your doorstep! The apartment was spacious, well presented and exceptionally clean. Everything provided from towels and linens to a fully equipped kitchen. Free private parking in secure grounds. Felt very at home here! The booking staff were helpful and welcoming! Lovely apartment but airless and hot

Lovely apartment easily accommodated 4 adults. We stayed during 2 warm summer days and the only way to cool down the apartment was to leave the front door open -;not feasible at night . Large windows at the front of the house did not open and seemed to be screwed shut ( fire risk surely?). The bedrooms were uncomfortably hot at night. It would be good to provide fans for warmer weather. One star given for communication - request via email was never answered.
