This was a perfect space for my brother and I to use as a base for our Portland explorations--it's such a charming neighborhood, and there are several restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away. We found ourselves really enjoying the walks around the neighborhood, and rarely had to use our car rental, except for exploring outside Portland. We also each had our own private room, and the beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom also had its own full-size window, and it was so nice to crack those open and listen to the gentle rains. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

This is a very well appointed basement apartment and was perfect for my adult daughter and myself. Communication with the manager was excellent. Place was spotless and there were no noise issues from upstairs neighbor. Laundry access and machines were great. The weather was nice and I spent a good amount of time each day enjoying the private outdoor space.

Lovely unit with very comfortable bed in master bedroom. It’s close to so many restaurants as well as food trucks. It’s a great neighborhood to walk in and easy to walk to Lakehurst Park, which is one of the prettiest parks I’ve been to. Public transportation is nearby as well.

Anthony and Fotoula were outstanding vacation rental host and were very responsive and timely in communicating with us. They were traveling during our stay and their co-host, Jorge was equally attentive!The neighborhood was quiet, very close to a fun section of Portland and street parking was not a problem. The apartment has a cuteness factor that we really liked, well stocked and lots of thoughtful amenities -too many to list here! We were hard pressed to find anything negative about this sweet basement apartment. We are also vacation rental hosts and rely heavily on positive reviews from our guests. We fully understand the purpose of this review is to let future guests know what to expect before they book. Though definitely not a dealbreaker we wish that the hosts would have made better mention of the property being a basement apartment and being mindful of “long-term tenants upstairs“. Watching TV past 11PM or sleeping until 8:30AM was not possible. We were concerned that the upstairs tenants could hear our TV, as we could hear the footsteps from upstairs, especially in the morning.The only reason why we are mentioning this is for consideration to others who might be bothered by having tenants or guests in such close proximity. As stated before this was not a dealbreaker for us during our 3 night stay. The apartment and yard was immaculate, very comfortably furnished and reasonably priced.

Every detail and need was anticipated. Newly remodeled upgrades. Easy to use, easy to find. Comfortable beds. A/C and electronics worked great. Cute neighborhood. Great washer & dryer, big refrigerator . Timely and responsive communications. Dog friendly, but note that yard is not fenced. Basement apartment has a flight of stairs, so large roller bags are cumbersome.

Quiet and cozy, great neighborhood, excellent hosts

We were in Portland touring a couple of colleges with our 17-year-old. The neighborhood is pretty and very peaceful, and the Starbucks a block up the street made for easy coffee and pastries in the morning. The apartment is very comfortable, well-equipped and extremely quiet at night. The hosts were very responsive, getting back to us quickly when we had questions. Although it's in the middle of a residential area, getting to downtown in 10 to 15 was no problem at all. We particularly enjoyed easy access to Laurelhurst Park, which was just a 3-minute drive away. We had beautiful weather and spent some quality time drinking wine and reading out on the patio furniture. On-street parking was no problem - the street isn't crowded and we were able to park right in front of the house every time, with plenty of room on both sides of the street. The only thing to note is that the ceilings are a bit on the low side - I'm 6'2 and did have to watch my head in one part of the living room with a low overhang, but I got through the week with nary a bump. :). This was a great spot for our first-ever trip to Portland, and I'd highly recommend it.
