Drifted Inn - Riverfront Cottage

Restez dans notre petit chalet sur les rives de la rivière Détroit.
Ce chalet d'une pièce a toutes les qualités d'une simple escapade:
hamac, barbecue, broche de sable privée et foyer.
L'été par excellence, à quelques minutes du centre-ville d'Amherstburg.
Bien adapté aux jeunes familles, aux week-ends entre filles, aux escapades en couple et à tous ceux qui recherchent un peu de calme.
La petite plage est parfaite pour construire des châteaux de sable avec des tikes, ou creuser votre chaise de jardin et regarder le coucher du soleil; le grand pont est un endroit idéal pour passer l'après-midi, faire un barbecue et regarder les cargos passer, le hamac est l'endroit idéal pour peaufiner votre liste de lecture d'été.

Il y a une piste cyclable le long de Front Road, pour les cyclistes qui souhaitent venir en ville; ou dirigez-vous vers la route des vins.

Le Cottage est un point de départ idéal pour: explorer la route des vins EPIC, la ville de Windsor, l'île Boblo, la ville d'Amherstburg, la plage Holiday, le parc national de la Pointe-Pelée.

Perfect little cottage

Cozy cottage with lots of privacy. Nice sandy beach. It had everything we needed from coffee to kitchen items and the bed was super comfy. View was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

We love this place!

This was our 3rd visit to Drifted Inn, and we booked our 4th while we were there. It's a beautiful little place, the beach is perfect for our son and it's close enough to town to get anything you need.

Great spot for a relaxing getaway

My husband and I came for our anniversary, and had the best time! I was sad to leave and already want to book another stay. It was perfect for a couple - the beach and the water were probably our favourite part. Our hosts really thought of everything. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, for the barbecue, the campfire, lots of towels, a radio and a speaker, games; all we really needed to bring was clothing, our toothbrushes and some food!

We loved your riverfront cottage! It was perfect for a weekend away and relaxing. The girls built sand castles and played in the water, my husband fished, and I relaxed in the hammock. We enjoyed the town and the riverfront walk and shops as well.

Best Staycation EVER

Just absolutely perfect for what hubby and I needed. Megan was very responsive, the cottage was as perfect as it could have been. Scenery was great, Tim’s just a skip away, comfortable bed and lunging furniture - I claimed the chair by the fire all weekend. Would definitely stay here again

Another excellent stay

This was our second year staying at the Drifted Inn, and it was another wonderful time for our family. As always, the cottage is clean, cozy and comfortable. We had beautiful weather all week which let us take advantage of dinners on the deck, lots of fun on the little private beach, and beautiful sunset views. Thank you for another wonderful summer getaway. We have already booked for next year, and can't wait to return.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was fantastic.It was very clean and had everything that you would need .We enjoyed siting on the patio or just relaxing in the hammock.We went to shooters twice for dinner.It was just a couple minute drive from the cottage The food was awesome and the waitresses were super friendly.highly recommend this cottage and shooters.

Amazing little gem

This was our second time staying, and we had yet another wonderful stay! We love the little town of Amherstburg, and this cottage is the perfect location. Watching the ships is always a favourite, but the closeness to multiple nature areas is a bonus as well. We were able to enjoy some bird watching at Point Pelee and Holiday Beach. The cottage is kept very clean, the bed is really comfy, and the kitchen was super well stocked! We can't wait to come back!

Very nice weekend!

Cottage was adorable and essentials were well stocked. Easy check-in and the nights were very quiet. Sunsets on patio were gorgeous and it was great to watch the big boats go by on their way to Detroit. We also loved walking around Amherstburg, such a cute historic downtown. Little bit of confusion on the check out time and the water had a bit too much seaweed to swim, but would recommend the cottage to friends.

I’m really sorry about the checkout time confusion - noon listed on VRBO & our cleaner showing up for 11am. 11am is what I indicate in “high season” on our info sheet - I’m glad you had such a great stay that it came down to the last hour - and I’m sorry it was interrupted. The river has a kind of its own and when it throws seaweed on-shore good luck getting it off, often times it takes it away just as quick. Thanks again for choosing to stay at our little cottage, it was a pleasure to host you!

We're avid outdoors-people who have started a family & are now enjoying staying a little more local. We have a sweet little place on the shores of the Detroit River & enjoy quiet weekends "down at the Cottage" with family & friends - we thought we'd share it.

We are both from Essex County, after spending a few years living out west we wanted to come home & marry BC and Ontario life, this location allows for that - with bike lanes, paddling opportunities, the greenway (biking rail trail), & wine route.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

All the convenience of being basically in-town, but feels secluded. Marries downtown convenience with privacy - able to bike right from the Cottage (bike lane), or paddle out the front door - we love that.
