Truly wonderful spot! Lovely sandy beach easily accessible for most of the day. The accommodations were immaculate, super comfortable, well-equipped, and the view was lovely. The host was also very responsive. Really couldn’t have asked for better. Highly recommend!

Great property with an amazing water view! The house itself is modern and beautifully decorated. The outdoor space is perfect. Our family really appreciated the little touches like the luxurious towels and bed linens. The many small touches throughout really set this house apart. The hosts have really thought of everything. If you are looking to treat yourselves and are seeking a picturesque spot surrounded by nature, this is it. (FYI: highly recommend taking the ferry and going to the bakery and Ploughman's Luncheonette...a trip to Risser's beach is a must too!).

Family getaway with adult children

Visiting our son and his partner in Halifax. We wanted a getaway and to explore the coast. We loved the place, the location, and our hosts were very helpful in guiding us to some great places.

Beautiful place for a family vacation

Our family of 10 had a wonderful week. The house is very comfortable and has everything one would need. The beach is lovely and safe for the children who spent many joyful hours swimming and playing in the sand. Highly recommend as a vacation retreat.

Tranquil and peaceful. Amazing sleeps. Epic seafloor walks. Cottage has everything we needed. Loved our visit and plan on coming back in ‘26!

Spectacular view

Two families stayed in this well appointments home away from home. We had all the creature comforts we could ask for - fire pit, grill; washer/dryer, soaking tub, outstanding deck and a short walk to the ocean.

An incredible property with all the right thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. Very comfortable four bedrooms and a truly fully equipped kitchen. Spotless property with plenty of extras like beach towels, cozy blankets, beach chairs and even coffee beans which were most welcome after our late night arrival. But the outdoor spaces were what made our stay so exceptional. Full deck with multiple seating/eating areas and a private fire pit and beach area were well used by us. We cannot wait to return.

Wonderful Family Getaway!

The Whitecaps Beach House located in a quant fishing village is truly a perfect retreat. The home is well laid out with lots of windows with pretty water views. It is a great space for a large gathering, well appointed kitchen, lots of linens and seating for everyone. Put this one on your list!

Wonderful House with access to a beautiful beach

We had an incredible time at Whitecaps Retreat! The house is very cosy and spaceous with all the things you need and more to have a great stay. The surrounding is very quiet and the view above the bay is just awesome! The communication with Jacqui and Andy was easy and very kind. We can fully recommend this wonderful place and hope to come back soon!

Great Spot

The home is beautiful - ideal for 8 adults. Had everything you could need. The view from the deck is truly gorgeous and we were lucky enough to have quite a few warm days while we sat outside. The beach is also fun to walk and our dog had the best time too! Andy and Jacqui answered all my questions quickly and have further information at the house. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A wonderful celebration

A few of my best friends joined me to celebrate my 50th birthday. The property was perfect for gathering on the deck, in the living room and around the large dining table. It was a great time!

Picturesque

The perfect place to simply rest, cook, play on the local beach, collect rocks, birdwatch; or go on an adventure, and explore the multitude of treasured quaint places in the vicinity. Squeaky clean with everything you need, set in a spectacular corner of this marvellous province. We loved everything.
