While this property isn’t in the heart of Oaxaca, the area has options to eat and a great coffee shop at the end of the street. We were disappointed not to be able to use both bedrooms to sleep in as the second bedroom is separated and the door locks when shut. We felt uncomfortable our children sleeping here alone in case of an emergency so all slept together in that room. The flat would benefit from some easy refreshments such as a new set of towels but was overall comfortable and adequate for us.

Lamento que no hayas podido usar la habitación de arriba, perdón dejamos la llave evada por fuera para que tú pudieras abrirla en cualquier momento, tus hijos hubieran dormido mucho más cómodos, si me hubieras avisado yo podría haber solucionado eso para evitar tu descontento. Si no te gustaron las toallas me hubieras dicho y yo te las mandaba cambiar, en Oaxaca el agua suele ser muy dura .

I couldn’t be any happier with our stay! Thank you Laura for being a great host! We were very happy with the location, the cleanliness and the amount of space. If we ever come back to Oaxaca we will definitely stay with Laura again!

Beautiful house in Oaxaca

We loved our stay here. The house is really well equipped & is in a great neighbourhood. The hosts Enrique & Ruth were so welcoming & hospitable, such kind people. Highly recommend staying here, everything was perfect!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Laura’s apartment. It was super clean, the linens smelled fresh, the kitchen had everything we needed. We traveled with our 2 kids under 8 yr old and having a washer was so helpful. Also appreciate the closed patio where the kids could play and the gated street. The location is a 20-25 min walk downtown to El Llano, centro, botanic garden, etc. Taxis are easy to hail in front, only about 5 USD per trip. We had a few questions once we arrived and hosts were prompt to reply and helpful. Overall great stay!

Great spacious apartment

This was a great space for our family. We were able to walk to the grocery store and Mercado for some groceries and snacks. It was also just a short cab ride to the centro. We were able to use the washer which was super convenient for us especially traveling with kids. Would definitely recommend for a group or family. Plenty of space for all.

Great Home in Reforma

Laura's home was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. There are a ton of cafe's, shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance in Reforma. We ventured into el centro most of our stay which is about a 25min walk - it's a nice walk during the day but probably best to cab home if past dark. The washing machine was a nice surprise. Laura and her whole family are very welcoming and we really enjoyed getting to meet them.

Oaxacan retreat

Wonderful retreat just minutes from city center. I selected this property because of the amenities. The private patio was an extension of the living space. Our 4 year old grandson could come and go with freedom. The gated community removed us from the street noise but was still easy to get to buses and taxis. The separation of sleeping areas made it easy for 4-80 year olds to coexist. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was important during the heat of the afternoons. The kitchen was well equipped, drinking water was delivered as we needed it.

Super comfortable, spacious spacious apartment

One of the best VRBO apartments we've stayed in anywhere. Apartment was super comfortable. Even though on a busy street (Calzada Porfirio Diaz), the apartment is set back on a private street, and is super quiet, but right outside are super-nice restaurants and Cafe Brujula, a landmark of sorts, is a 30 sec. walk away. It is also much more secure than most other place because the street is gated. You should know that this apartment is NOT in the historic center of Oaxaco, which we really liked because it is away from the crowds and intense traffic there. It is a half hour walk to the Zocalo, but v easy to get there via taxi (about 4) or you could take the numerous buses that run on Calzada Porfirio Diaz. Easy walking distance to charming Xochimilco neighborhood. Netflix and other streaming channels available and easily accessible, as well as internet, even in 2d bedroom, which is upstairs. One bonus would have been some information on good restaurants in the area to go to, other information on excursions and services, as well as on how to operate appliances and TV. But overall a great find, and would stay here again!

Oaxaca el Ciudad de Bonita

This was an amazing first week in Oaxaca, MX. The environment, the people, the sites/sights and energy were genuine and authentic. It was awesome inspiring to see this culture in their "home". The people were truly welcoming, you feel "bienvenido". I appreciate this Ciudad for allowing us to experience their culture. The home, just north of the Centro, is a perfect location. Lots of Mercados-markets, retaurantes-restaurants, and cafés-coffe shops just outside the door. Open space within the home, clean, and available wifi and other amenities. I do have to say, we were here for vacation so the home was just to sleep in. It was very comfortable, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the home. The owner was amazing! Her sister lives near by and was fully available. We accidently locked the keys inside and Curri quickly got a locksmith out to help us. Fresh water was always available and a great "vibe"! The only difficult thing was accessing the home the first time. It is in a gated local PLEASE BEAWARE, YOU WILL FEEL SAFE THE WHOLE TIME. So we were on the street in busy traffic trying to figure out how to get in. I give the home a 6 out of 5 stars. This was an incredible experience to our neighbors in the south. A beautiful tranquil home in a great location

The house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable with a traditional design and modern features. It’s ideal for a couple or a family. Everything in the house worked perfectly and was of high quality. The house is located on a private, quiet street with easy access to many restaurants, stores and downtown Oaxaca. The owner and her family are readily available to answer any questions you have. The next time we visit Oaxaca, we hope to stay here again.
