A beautiful house but in need of some TLC
Four of us - two couples - stayed for four nights. As others have said, the house has been beautifully converted into a dwelling with lovely spaces and an extremely well-equipped kitchen and well functioning bathrooms. The location and the views from the floor to ceiling windows are both stunning. There are a few downsides which other reviewers have also noted (repeatedly): the bed/mattress, certainly in the main bedroom, is extremely soft and uncomfortable - one of us decamped to the snug to get a proper night's sleep; there is a need for some maintenance - the front door is beautifully designed but it has dropped slightly on its hinges and so is now very difficult to close and lock from the outside; one of the french doors - closest to the snug - has some wear and tear to its mechanism (its bent) and after opening it once we realised that it would be safer not to use it. Apart from these issues, our stay was extremely enjoyable. We would recommend it to others and would like to return some day - especially if there is a new mattress. Lastly both Bloom Stays and the owner were very prompt and helpful in answering some question that we had.
