Would tell anyone passing through Cortona to stop here if they want more space than usual for the price. The kitchen and living room were bigger than expected, and having a private pool felt like a bonus. Good value compared to other places nearby.

Awesome Views

The place is great. I only wish there were a few more kitchen towels and a map to show an easier arrival. Don’t drive thru Cortona, go above towards the church and drive down.

Magical

A truly special place. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. Luca is a warm and caring host with a one of a kind property. Pictures do not do this place justice. It’s heaven with a view to write songs about.

The photos for this property does not do it justice. The view from the terrace and the pool is just beyond amazing. Everything is nicely layout. It is an older property but everything felt authentic to the age of the house and the town. The bed where really comfortable, the pool was wonderful as was the garden. Luca, our host, was lovely and even help us out when we could not find milk in the town center. The walk up the hill is not for the faint of heart but if you zig zag up the hill you discover how amazing Cortona is.

Belvilla by OYO Villa Nigra

The house had a drain issue. The left side of the kitchen sink was clogged. The shower in one bathroom was slow to drain and continually had water on the floor. The 3rd bedroom and bathroom were detached from the main house. Pictures are shown on the website but no mention of a separate building. We found the separate building but no bedding on the bed! The bed had a mattress cover and that was it. The 3rd person in our party slept in the tiny loft and shared a bathroom. The night before our departure I reached out to Luca to verify the departure procedure. I told him about the drain and the 3rd bedroom/bathroom situation. He informed me that I should have communicated this to him upon arrival and threatened to inform the police regarding my information!!!! This was totally unacceptable since I was just informing him of these issues that we overlooked and handled ourselves.

House needs some maintenance

House had a real slow drain in the shower (primary) and flooded the bathroom first day. We ended up using the second bathroom shower. The kitchen sink also had a drain that was completely clogged and smelled. "Air conditioning" was a mini split in the living room with a huge skylight above it which negated quite a bit of the cooling. There was no air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms in the main house which made sleeping miserable. there is a mini split in the cabin separate from the main house. Note: The walk into Cortona is about 10 minutes down a pretty steep hill. Walk back up the hill from the center to the house requires a bit of fitness and in the heat we had some whiny kids. Overall, the house was not a refuge we were looking for. There was WAY to much furniture cluttering hallways, bedrooms etc. You can't open the door to the bathroom in the primary bedroom more than 45 degrees as a huge armoire blocks fully opening. The furniture was old and desperately needs an update. Luca was nice and greeted us upon arrival and was quick to respond to questions.

Panorama meraviglioso, villa incantevole e proprietario molto attento e soprattutto disponibile. E' stato uno dei week-end più belli di sempre per me. La villa ha un giardino meraviglioso organizzato con sedie, dondoli e c'è anche una suggestiva piscina privata . Atmosfera d'altri tempi, dove sembra che il tempo si sia fermato. Un week-end rigenerante.

Nach Mitternacht angekommen, war das Zimmer schon vorbereitet und ruhig, was nach einer langen Fahrt sehr angenehm war. Der Poolbereich lud zum Entspannen ein und bot abends eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Küche verfügte über alle nötigen Utensilien, sodass der Kaffee am Morgen schnell zubereitet werden konnte.
