Bognor Regis is a town and seaside resort in West Sussex on the south coast of England, 55 miles south-west of London, 24 miles west of Brighton, 6 miles south-east of Chichester and 16 miles east of Portsmouth. Being so centrally located, there are plenty of attractions right on your doorstep, including the beach with crazy golf which is literally a minute’s walk at the end of the road and all day Butlins tickets can be purchased. With a wealth of seaside history, Bognor Regis has become a most popular seaside place to visit with a variety of takeaways just 5 minutes away. The large expanses of sand at low tide and the 3-mile long promenade make Bognor Regis well worth a visit and it is officially one of the sunniest towns in Britain. The cinema for Bognor Regis was installed at the assembly hall, dating to 1886, and a lot of that Victorian architecture survives in the staircase and auditorium. It wouldn’t be a seaside town if there wasn’t a theatre for live music, comedy, musicals, plays and pantomimes at Christmas. The Regis Centre was built in 1980 and contains the Alexandra Theatre, and the more compact Little Alex, a studio theatre for 60 spectators.
The countryside just to the north of Bognor Regis is some of the most picturesque in the South of England. Within 5 miles are the South Downs, a range of dramatic chalk hills for brisk walks rewarded with awesome views. At Arundel there is the castle, cathedral, an open-air pool, riverside walks and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT), as well as a multitude of period shops, restaurants and buildings. For racing enthusiasts there is Goodwood Racecourse, with various events such as the Festival of Speed, motor racing, horse racing, golf tuition and matches, along with many other activities. The Trundle at Goodwood is a must for walkers wanting to see the incredible views of the sea from Littlehampton to Portsmouth. In addition to Goodwood racing, there is also Fontwell Racecourse within a short drive, and Littlehampton has a permanent funfair.
There is an abundance of activities - beach and pier fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, wind surfing and crazy golf opposite the pier, Hotham Park has a miniature railway, tennis courts, squirrels and bandstand concerts. For eating and drinking, there is a pub two doors away and two other sea front pubs, fish & chips restaurants and cafés within a 2-minute walk. Shopping precinct a 5-minute level walk.
Sea View is a holiday home that will help you make many memories and will be a great place as a beach retreat in the summer particularly. The balcony has outdoor seating for the al fresco dining experience and this really is a lovely place to spend your staycation. Beach 100 yards.
