It was a wonderful stay, the property was perfect in every way, WF great, lovely bath with plenty of hot water. Cooking facilities were excellent, Garden perfect for dog and us. The host's and accommodation were 5*.Great area for walks with the dog and plenty to see and do.Highly recommend, will definitely be going back.

Ideal for a solo traveller or two people on a short break. Very cosy and comfortable with essential needs.We took two working dogs that stayed in their own dog boxes overnight... their was plenty of fields around the area to let dogs stretch their legs and do their business. Where we stayed it is not ideal to let dogs off their leads as there are no fence or gate to keep dogs secure and safe. Ideal for small dogs in the lodge who are house trained and don't explore or wonder off.Location is ideal with lots of history and natural landscapes along the journeys ahead to visit.Books about Norfolk where left to your leisure to things to do.Recommend Horsey and Holkham Estate to see hundreds of wild seals and fallow deer close by. Cromer, Well- next the sea, Blickley Estate, Great Yarmouth and Norwich Cathedral are a must... plenty of churches and nature reserves we visited. We both enjoyed our stay in Norfolk and the week went so fast, lucky to have beautiful weather which was a bonus. Love to visit Norfolk again to see different areas we didnt visit, there is so much to do.Thanks to Glenn & Georgie for having us in their home.

Wonderful cosy stay

Easy to find but secluded stay tucked just off the A47. Everything you could need for a stay, including biscuits, towels and bowls for the dogs. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all modern and well equipped. Brilliant walks just on the doorstep and a short drive away, wished could have stayed a few more days to explore.

Norfolk's best kept secret

Fantastic place to stay:in the country but not too far from the coast or Norwich. Really well equipped cottage with lovely decorations. Glenn was a brilliant host. If you're visiting near Norwich this is the place to stay. Did I mention the scenic walks. .

A very comfortable, clean & well equipped accommodation it had everything you could want on a break. Everything is excellent except it is very closed in around the outside I imagined from the title there were going to be views.

The Fieldhouse is perfect for exploring the local area. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, comfortable and cosy this is the place for you. Glen, our host, could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended

The place was ideal. It provided immediate walkable access to the local heritage charm and the protected marshland was just a short distance away. It would be a great place for a retreat, bird enthusiast and local history. Although Halvergate is a small village, it has easy access to Acle (closest) as well as Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Taxi service is available and prompt. The owners were responsive to questions and went out of their way to make my stay exactly what I intended. Definitely would stay again.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful property. They have thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Was clean and quiet and decorated to a high standard The gardens are immaculate and as a keen gardener myself I appreciated that Host kept in touch to check if we needed anything. We stayed for the weekend with our dog and he enjoyed sitting outside with us You do need a car to get around but worth it as the property is tucked away and peaceful We will definitely be visiting again

Lovely!!!

The cottage was smaller than expected, but don’t be put off by that!! It was all we needed for our stay. It’s very comfy and well equipped. Everything we needed for our week. We took our dog with us, but the garden is not secure right now, but that will be sorted in the near future. I’d measure the owner to find out. But it’s a very convenient location for some beautiful walks too. Really loved our stay xx

Mini moon for our daughter and husband

We booked this short stay for our daughter and new husband for their wedding gift. They say the accommodation was excellent, clean, home from home with all the mod cons you need for a short stay. Slightly difficult to find as property is hidden behind high bushes but the host was excellent at directions. They would definitely return. Thank you so much.

Home from Home

On our arrival we were greeted by Georgie, Glenn and Willow their dog, we entered the cottage and couldn’t believe how beautiful and clean it was, there was everything you needed for your stay, the bed was very comfortable and we slept so well. The cottage is situated off the road and was so quiet only the birds you could hear, our two dogs had a roam around the garden and said hello to Willow. Georgie was very helpful and understanding especially when our old dog Ellie had an accident on the door mat, I would definitely recommend this cottage for your stay 10/10

There were too many flies in the cottage

We don’t know what happened in that place but for it to be painted in only 2 small places 10 minutes before we arrived was vey strange and it was literally full of flies throughout our stay

Lovely getaway

Glen has a beautiful property located in a peaceful part of the countryside in Norfolk, you would need a car when visiting as nothing close by. The place itself has everything you need and was really modern and clean We were staying with our 6 week old baby, and glen ensured we had a infant towel as well as our towels so we could bath him. A lovely thoughtful touch. Check in was easy as keyless and communication from host was easy.. our only downfall was when something came up and we really could have done with rescheduling there wasn’t much flexibility on it .. I know its peak season so will accept it Overall a beautiful place and will 1000% return

Very nice building quiet and pretty garden. The host was helpful and sorted out a minor problem quickly. The accommodation was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. One change I would recommend and that's the shower could be made easier to operate and a few cleaning products wouldn't go amiss
