Family Vacation

Great home for a big family or multiple families to share

We stayed over Thanksgiving week with 3 families, plenty of room for everyone! Yelena was such a great host. I needed a hand mixer for one of my recipes and she was so kind, she brought one to us on thanksgiving morning! The home is beautifully maintained so many things to do inside and out. Defienetly would recommend staying here!!!

Family Get Away

We all had the best time! 4 Kids 4 Adults. The house was sparkling clean There were plenty of supplies (Towels, Kitchen supplies etc). Amazing Mountain View House Filled with Games

The house is in a quiet neighborhood with an amazing view. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard after long hikes from Yosemite. We went there with a few families with kids from 10 to 16 years old and had so much fun! The kids were never bored with ping pong table, pool table, valley ball, foosball table, many board games, etc.! The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We would love to go back!

Just what we needed

Me and our family of 14 we very happy with the experience during our 3 day stay. The teens were always entertained and the house provided everything for the adults. The views are amazing!!! Close enough to town to grab anything you need but far enough away for peace and quiet. Yelena was amazing with her communication and the only question we had was answered and taken care of immediately. Absolutely no complaints.

Wonderful!

This is a fabulous place to stay! My family of six had a great time. The house has lots of room and the kitchen has everything you need. Yosemite has just reopened when we were here and reservations were required so we could not get on as they were all booked up but we still found hikes to take outside the park and enjoyed bass lake. Sunsets are amazing and that view...so beautiful. So much to do right at the house you don’t really even have to go anywhere. And Yelena was very helpful and answered any questions immediately. I highly recommend this place.

Family Fun

The property had everything you needed to keep an 8 to 80 year old entertained! The standout features were the foosball, pool table and air hockey games. There was plenty of comfortable sleeping options to accommodate 14 people! Any issues we had, Yelena was quick to respond. She even met us at the movie theatre to get us the discounted membership tickets...above and beyond. Great for multiple families and we'll always have the treasured memories!

Gorgeous view!

Loved watching the sunset and sunrise in the evening and morning on the deck and cement patio and gazebo. Tri-tip on outdoor Blackstone griddle was a delight to use and easy to clean. Kids loved using all the games, pool, volleyball, basketball, air hockey, foosball—even stayed off digital devices! kept all the cousins happy and allowed for some great quality time among the adults. Toured nearby Yosemite Valley with a highlight being glacier point view of the whole valley. Exhausted from touring, so came back early for a wonderful late afternoon and evening at the house! Would book again, if in the area!

Could not ask for better

My mom and her friends were looking for a place to stay to hike in Yosemite and this was the perfect place. My mom has never stayed in a VRBO before and I was a little nervous about how she would fare, but everything went off without a hitch! The entry was effortless. My mom is not very tech savvy and Yelena was there to help with simple things like finding the switch to turn off lights and fans when they couldn't figure it out. She was super responsive and friendly. They loved the amenities and raved about the place. Needless to say, I got the daughter of the year award. Highly recommend this place.

Large Family Vacation

This was truly a great home for our family vacation this year. The house is close to Oakhurst California and the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The house was clean and well maintained. The sunset view over the mountains is spectacular. The many extras such as Ping Pong, Pool table, Indoor Shuffle Board, Badminton, Volley Ball, Basketball, Horse Shoes, Corn Hole Bean Bag throw and an outdoor Blackstone Griddle!!!. There are two refrigerators for your use. Having Deer walk thru the front and back yard in the morning and evening was a treat. The owner is very responsive and lives close and easy to communicate with. Our family highly recommends this property for your next family vacation for visiting Yosemite National Park and Bass Lake for swimming and boating.

Outstanding and fun place!

A group of 10 of us visited this house for a weekend, and it couldn't have been any better. There were enough beds for everyone (one room has two bunk beds and there are sofa beds), the place was clean and very nice. It's on a bit of property with a great view and you feel secluded enough with so much greenery around. We spent a lot of time on the deck with the firepit going, but there was a lot going on inside as well. The place has a pool table, air hockey, foozball, table tennis, shuffleboard and various other sporting goods. You're about three miles outside of Oakhurst for food and sundries as well. The owner is easy to reach and work with, and we experienced no problems. In short, it's the perfect place for a guys weekend, while it would be great for a large family as well. Perfect and Spacious

This house was perfect for our family getaway. Check in and out process was a breeze. Our host was fantastic! Great communication the entire process. The outdoor space was incredible! Evenings outside couldn’t have been more enjoyable. We loved all the amenities! The kids were sure to enjoy every inch of the property! There wasn’t ever a moment of boredom. Plenty of space to enjoy. Bathrooms were spacious and very clean. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets if needed. Closets were large and stocked with hangers. Our rooms were more spacious because the closets allowed for multiple suitcases to be stored away. The kitchen had everything we needed, a spacious pantry and two refrigerators gave us all the room we needed for our large group. It’s definitely a property we would return to.

Beautiful home!

This home was perfect for our family holiday with lots of room for activities, including pool and air hockey. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Everyone had plenty of room to gather together, or retreat to their spaces for some quiet time. We didn't use the fire pit in the back yard as we had lots of snow and some rain, but we enjoyed making a snowman and having a snowball fight while enjoying the amazing view. I loved this place and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a a beautiful space in the mountains. Yelena was always prompt in responding. Suggestions to those who are considering this gorgeous home: Bring your own toiletries for use in the master tub. The shampoo/body wash the property description included was attached to the shower wall. Also there was only one hair dryer so we had to share between bathrooms. Bring extra paper towels and toilet paper as the supply provided for 10 adults was not sufficient.

Magnificent Views Great Potential

This should be a 5 star property and everyone had a great time during our stay so why am I rating it a 4. While the views are magnificent and the physical property is worthy of a 5 star rating it is not as advertised and the operator’s implementation of what one would expect in a property costing $700 per night (after cleaning, VRBO Fees, taxes etc.) is terrible. The property really has only 3 bedrooms. Putting a hide-a-bed in the loft/game room does not constitute a bedroom. The air conditioning can not be set below 72 degrees. The loft has a separate temperature controller which also can not be set below 72 degrees, however, after 3 hours it automatically resets to 76 degrees. This is probably a good idea for a game room but a terrible idea for someone trying to sleep in what is called a bedroom. The home has a second large game room with a pool table, which easily could be converted into a 5th bedroom; this room is not air conditioned and was always hot: 90 plus degrees during the day, and therefore can not be fully utilized. The controls on the fire pit appear to have been broken for some time and only someone with good technical skills can make it work. Fortunately we had someone with this capability. The home has two newer refrigerator/freezers yet neither is set up to make ice cubes. We constantly needed to run the 3 miles to town to purchase ice. While as advertised (in the very small print) this is the only place I or any of my guests have stayed (who combined have had over 1,000 visits to hotels, VRBO’s etc.) where we had to purchase our own toilet paper. We had 14 guests and the place is set up to accommodate 18 yet only 3 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels are supplied. The soap and shampoo dispenser in the bathrooms have the cheapest and most worthless soap I’ve used. No dishwashing soap was supplied so we washed our pots and pans and some of the dishes with this hand soap. I feel a little guilty for the guests that come after us and use those items. It would also be nice if some aluminum foil, baggies etc. were supplied. The checkout time of 10 AM seems a little early but the requirement that the slow running dishwasher be run and the dishes put away prior to leaving is completely unrealistic. Doing the above make this a 5 star place and a 5 star experience. Maybe, I’m being too harsh in my assessment but I run a VRBO and I do not operate like this. This is my first VRBO rating less than 5star.

I respect my guests, myself and my business. Sometimes I host people who in general are unhappy and bitter. It doesn’t matter how much effort I put in to please them, nothing works. This guest just started to run his own VRBO business and tried very hard to analyze and scrutinize everything in my place to make him feel better about his own place instead of enjoying his vacation. All accusations are faulty. Everything is and was in working conditions. Fire pit works and has clear instructions how to operate it on the side of fire pit. Refrigerator in the kitchen produces ice, it is in the bottom double drawer. Second refrigerator is for back up purposes. It works but doesn’t make ice. All rooms have AC, mini split systems with remote controls to operate and heaters. Dishwasher soap, foil, cleaning supplies, kitchen towels are all provided. Shampoos and soaps are personal preferences. 6 rolls of toilet paper are provided. I send letter to all of my guests before arrival with explanations what is provided. So it is no surprises. The 4th bedroom/sun room with 3 beds upstairs is up to standards to be qualified as a bedroom. The price of the house to rent is disclosed to my guests before booking, therefore the complaint about the price doesn’t make any sense. Check out time is disclosed and it is 10 am unless request was made for later check out and subject to availability. My guest forgot to mention that I let his party to check in early. My first sentence in the Welcome Letter says to contact me if my guests are not satisfied or have questions about anything. This particular guest chose not to contact me or ask any questions. He complained after his departure when it was too late to explain how to operate some appliances/AC or where to look for supplies.

It is called Play House for a reason

We had an excellent getaway into the mountains and this was a perfect place for 4 of our close friends and their families to enjoy a well deserved getaway. The House was excellent. The weather was Raining so outdoor activity was limited but we still made the most of it. Definitely will be coming back during the Summer for a longer stay.

Amazing Place

This home away from home is amazing. The views are beyond words. Had deer walking through the back area of the house in the early morning. It was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Such an amazing place and close to any food places you could need. Loved it and hoping to book it again some day.

Great Girls weekend

We came in to a clean and beautiful house. The views ate worth it themselves. My group and I spent hours over the weekend just out side looking at stars. Great location, close to a grocery store and food options (all good) and close enough to make a trip out to Yosemite. The host was communicative and had great recommendations for places to go, eat, and explore. Definitely would rent here again and recommend it to anyone thinking of booking this property.

Beautiful home and amazing sunset

The home was beautiful and the sunset was just amazing! Yelena communicated with our family throughout our stay with any questions we may have had. She went way above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. The home itself is beautiful. Plenty of room and never felt crowded. The high faulted ceiling were a plus. Lots of games to keep the kids entertained. A quick car trip to Bass Lake was nice especially after a long day at the lake when ur ready to head home to take a nice shower to relax and watch the amazing sunset. Would highly recommend this home and would rent it again for our next family trip to Bass Lake .

Great stay

We had a blast. A group of 8 of us stayed for a girls weekend. We loved the view, all the amenities the property offered, the ease of check in and out and the communication with the owner. The view in the backyard really is that incredible. Something to do in all the rooms, we were never bored. Overall a wonderful weekend.
