This spacious, split level house with its unconventional layout that guests love for its unique character. It has been tastefully furnished and decorated to a very high standard and quality and sleeps up to 6 people and has 2 bathrooms. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms one with twin beds and the other is a zip n' link bed or can be made into 2 single beds. These are served by a shared bathroom with full facilities and shower. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.
You will find the kitchen and dining room on the middle level, both rooms and very light and spacious and over look the garden. There is a fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room which is very well equipped.
On the upper level there is the master King bedroom and an adjacent bathroom with bath and full facilities. The sitting room is also on this level with wonderful views over the Fowey River valley and surrounding open countryside. There is a large fenced garden and patio area with furniture and a gas bbq for your own use.
There is the indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub that has stunning views over the Fowey River.
A home-made Cornish cream tea awaits you on arrival as a warm welcome.
A games room, outside play area and friendly farm animals to feed daily. We are ideally located for touring all of Cornwall with many famous attractions, beaches, N.T properties, beautiful gardens, walks and many more activities and attractions closeby.
There is ample off road parking.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Spotlessly clean and lots of room and facilities.Pool, hot tub and games room are brilliant for rainy days.Outdoor play area and farm animals would be great for younger kids.Host was lovely and check on us on arrival and just as we left and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Beautiful house. Ruth and John are excellent hosts, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The welcome cream tea and the freshly laid eggs were a treat for us all. I took my 4 granddaughters who were delighted with the pool and hot tub. So much room inside and outside which was nice for us all. Lovely holiday, great accommodation, quiet getaway

The accommodation was lovely, clean and spacious. Ruth was very friendly and informative on best places to visit. The highlights are the heated pool and a farm in your back garden where you can feed the animals every day.

Fantastic holiday in beautiful surroundings

A very enjoyable stay, we were made to feel very welcome. A great base to explore Cornwall. The children loved feeding the animals each day, as well as playing in the games room and on the trampoline. We enjoyed visiting Fowey and the lovely walk on the Esplanade from Readymoney Cove. Plenty of great beaches nearby. Thanks Ruth and John for a memorable stay.

We had a great time staying at this property. Lots of room in the cottage and comfortable rooms. Loved being able to use the pool and working with Ruth to arrange use of the hot tub for specific days. Lovely to go out of the garden and see all of the animals. Family fun on the farm.

What excellent accomodation. It had everything we needed for our holiday and was very clean and well equipped. Our hosts were excellent. The time Ruth spent with our grandchildren feeding the farm animals is a very fond memory that I will cherish. The swimming pool the views, the home made welcome scones all made for the most wonderful and happy holiday. (and the sun shone!) what more could you ask for. Excellent holiday cottage, perfect pool

We have just come back from the best family holiday we've ever had. The cottage is immaculate with all the amenities you could possibly want or need. The animal feeding with Ruth was perfect for young children, especially bottle feeding their lamb. The pool/jacuzzi was exceptional, by far the best pool we have ever used. It's completely private to the holiday homes. The temperature is beautifully warm, with incredible floor to ceiling views over the river Fowey and surrounding countryside. The local beaches and the town of Fowey are really lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend Penquite Farm to anyone - especially if you have young children. Thank you so much Ruth and John for everything.

Wonderful Cottage! The only thing broken was the weather!!!

Stayed here for a long weekend break so that Grandma and Granddaughter could have some time together in-between lockdowns! The cottage was fantastic, loads of space, very well appointed, spotlessly clean and in beautiful surroundings! Fantastic large kitchen and BBQ for self catering if like us, you are with younger kids and have accepted that evenings out are but a distant memory! The swimming pool on site is a fantastic bonus for keeping the young ones occupied, especially when the weather is terrible as it can be when you take a chance on an October getaway in the UK. Water was lovely and warm, facilities were excellent! The host was wonderful with recommendations for local spots, and even offering us use of the pool after check-out to keep our little one happy! The Scones, clotted cream and eggs were a great touch too! Heartily recommend a stay here !!!

Lovely tranquil hidden spot in the Cornwall countryside

We had a fantastic 2 week stay and Ruth was an amazing host. We were greeted after a long drive from London with delicious scones, cream and jam. Ruth put safety first with additional cleaning (although the cottage was spotless when we arrived) extra hand sanitiser in the property, extra safety rules around the pool barn in terms of social distancing which meant we could still enjoy the pool during our stay. We had a really comfortable relaxing stay, some days we chose to just stay at the cottage but on other days we did venture out. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable, great kitchen with everything you need to cook, and a spacious lounge to relax in after a long day exploring the area. Ruth also gave us fresh eggs from the hens in her garden. The animals are wonderful (pigs, horse, hens, sheep, alpacas, guinea pigs, and rabbits) we fed them vegetables most evenings and there is a small playground area at the back of the property as well with sunken trampoline that our daughter enjoyed. The views from the pool barn are breathtaking. There is so much to see close-by. Fowey itself is wonderful and everything was starting to open up gradually. My husband took our daughter fishing twice from Fowey with a local fisherman, they caught a ton mackerel, she also enjoyed the aquarium (4 times!) We ate at Sams and Pintxo both great food and dining experiences. We went to Eden Project short drive from the property and discovered the other local fishing villages like Polruan, Looe, Polperro (take the Bodinnick Ferry) to reach these places. We visited a couple of farm shops close by, good if you run out of milk! Fowey Farm Shop and Colwiths Farm Shop. We also had a lovely afternoon cream tea at Duchy of Cornwall Nursery towards Lostwithiel. Best fish and chips close by is in Lostwithiel called the Country Fryer. Further afield our favourite beach was Perranporth. For kids we did Lappa Valley, Newquay Zoo and Newquay Aquarium. All in all we had a great two week break after 3 months in lockdown! We would absolutely recommend Penquite Farm for your holiday.

This was a beautiful cottage with wonderful view as we were at the top of a very big hill. Ruth was so friendly and welcoming. She had left scones as a welcome...which were delicious. The kids loved it here and have already requested to come back soon. The pool and hot tub were a great hit with everyone.

Fabulous place to stay. Friendly owners and very helpful

We stayed as a family of 5, including 3 children aged 12,19 and 20. The property was extremely well equipped (far more than we were expecting and we very much appreciated the attention to detail). It was very homely and comfortable with family games and books and a play area. Ruth was very helpful with advice on the local area and we felt welcomed by the treat of scones, jam and clotted cream that greeted us on our arrival. Feeding the animals was a massive highlight staying here. Our 12 year old loved every minute attending the animals. The freshly laid eggs were delicious. We also spent time in the pool house which enjoys spectacular views and played some pool and table tennis. Everyone was friendly in the local area and we enjoyed the food and activities locally. Ruth had good advice on activities and places that we were able to experience. It was a great location for exploring most of Cornwall. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return.

Wonderful holiday! 5 star!

Had such an amazing time at Penquite Farm! Accommodation was clean and very comfortable for all. Kids loved feeding the animals and the Pool barn was outstanding! Ideal location for visiting all local attractions and for exploring Cornwall. Gorgeous views - very peaceful which was just what we needed! Thank you Ruth and John for your hospitality. Slice of paradise

We stayed for a week with Ruth at the farm and had a relaxing,wonderful time. The accomodation is spacious and was nicely made up, equipped with absolutely everything you could require. Outside the garden was huge and beautifully maintained,leading straight out to the animals and playback which the kids loved and we used everyday. The pool was fantastic also, a great size to swim or play and had great views across the valley. It's also only a short walk down to the village with has a nice pub and paddleboard business. Everyone is very friendly and make you feel welcome. We had a long drive to get there but once we arrived we barely had to drive more than 15 minutes again to access a host of beaches, larger shops (Tescos,Coop,Spar) and harbours, where its quick and easy to hire boats or go on excursions, a great way to take in the area. We loved our stay and reccomend it to anyone wishing to get away, relax and see all that Cornwall has to offer.

A really lovely base for the week

We were very impressed with the space in the property and enjoyed being able to use the swimming pool. My 11 year old daughter loved feeding the animals everyday and even though it rained most of the week we were able to find places to visit in the near vicinity. A really enjoyable stay.

Superb Property

Church Meadow is beautiful. Everything you need is available in the property and its an ideal base to explore Cornwall. The indoor swimming pool is amazing and children love to feed the farm animals. The hosts are very attentive and there to make sure you enjoy your holiday and want for nothing. I fully recommend this property.

Just back from a very rainy, windy week in Cornwall. But there is plenty on the UP side. We stayed at Church Meadow. Spacious accomodation for 5, well equipped, fabulous swimming pool, lovely garden and wonderfull location. We had a great time and Ruth was a great host. Sunshine would have been nice, but its absence proved that it can never spoil a holiday, when all the other ingredients are excellent

Ruth is a great host. The place was amazing very comfortable even in the cold. I would say don’t rely on the postcode call Ruth for directions or try church hill.

It was a shame you arrived in the evening in the dark which makes it difficult to find your way. You did the right thing and rang me so I could guide you to your destination. Truncated Trip ...

On arrival we were greeted by Ruth who gave us half an hour to get our bearings before meeting us to explain how everything worked which was useful. This property is spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Fowey is a short drive away with its quaint harbour and we ventured further afield (St Ives) as well as staying closer to home (Polperro). Unfortunately, due to Boris' 2nd lockdown we had to leave 3 days early never-the-less we enjoyed our stay...

Excellent and totally recommend

This property went above and beyond what we were expecting. The cleanliness was perfect. The location was idyllic with stunning views of the countryside and estuary. We loved feeding our scraps to the pigs and collecting the fresh eggs for our breakfasts. The fisherman's arms is only a 10-minute walk away, the staff were very friendly and the menu was unusual and very nice. The walk back to the cottage is not for the faint-hearted. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for couples, groups and families. Big thank you to Ruth and Tom the dog for our relaxing stay with you.

Fabulous stay

The children loved this place, petting animals and a swimming pool in site, what is not to love. We were able to collect fresh eggs every morning and feed the animals. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful garden. Location great for exploring, we visited Eden Project, Lappa Valley and all the local beaches. We'll be back! Thanks to Ruth for bring a great host.

Excellent location to visit beaches and countryside

The house was clean, light and spacious, fully equipped in a lovely private setting. The garden is private and beautifully kept with lots of flowers, especially the camellias. On arrival we enjoyed a full cream tea, delicious! Also Ruth provided milk, eggs and bacon and bathroom accessories. As we had 2 young children, the farm with all the animals was a bonus along with the speedy slide, swings and trampoline. The swimming pool was great fun and larger than we expected with modern facilities. Of course if we had had the time to relax and use the loungers overlooking the river and the countryside this would have been wonderful too! A great facility and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully in the future we will be able to stay again.

We had a lovely stay. the property was beautifully kept and very well equipped for a family.

Excellent. Children loved visiting the farm animals each morning and despite the weather we went out every day and the hostess Ruth's recommendations on where to visit was fabulous. We all had a great holiday.

Fabulous stay and great hosts x

Lovely break in a lovely place. The swimming pool and hot tub was a lovely bonus xx the hosts were really friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a lovely cream tea, bacon and sausages. Feeding the animals was a lovely experience and Tom the dog was a gorgeous four legged friend. Xx
