We'd like to address some of the concerns you raised. Our property is a traditional cottage, and both the photographs and description were updated for 2024 to accurately represent its condition. Additionally, the bedlinen was new for 2024, ensuring that our guests enjoy fresh and high-quality bedding during their stay. Regarding the mustiness upon arrival, we utilise a professional cleaner and launderette service, and the cottage was cleaned shortly before your check-in. However, we apologize if it did not meet your expectations in terms of freshness. Your feedback has prompted us to review our airing procedures to ensure this issue is minimised in the future. Regarding the electrical concerns, we want to assure you that the property has a current and valid electrical safety certificate. We were unaware of the spark issue, as it was not reported to us during your stay. Had we been informed, we would have promptly arranged for an electrician to address the issue and put your mind at ease. We take safety very seriously, and your comments about the lack of visible smoke alarms have been noted. We will ensure that all safety equipment is in an obvious place and fully functional. Regarding pricing, as communicated during your stay, the service charge is set by VRBO and is not under our control. We regret any confusion this may have caused.
