The hosts were very helpful with all questions. The house was very clean and the primary room bed was stylish and comfortable for a good night sleep. The roomy kitchen is well stocked for cooking a meal. I enjoyed the view of the lake from the large living area. The updates with the old were appreciated. I’ll stay again!

Perfect location for our family over Thanksgiving! Lots of space, very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked for cooking a big meal. Gorgeous views, quiet neighborhood, our daughter loved all the wildlife, and easy access to Austin. We will definitely return!

We loved our time at your Lakeway home. There were 6 of us friends and we found the accommodations and the layout perfect. The kitchen was spacious enough for all of us to be in there to prepare meals without being on top of each other. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked. We also enjoyed the spaciousness of the family room and bedrooms. Three bathrooms was another positive amenity for 6 ladies! We have already decided to book our annual gathering for this same house. The neighborhood was quite nice and we enjoyed Lakeway Park and the walking trails. Our stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you! Cheree K.

This is a beautiful home. It is perfect in every way for our family. The 5 year old twin boys had a ball with the toys in the closet. The location is perfect and the water view from the front porch allowed us to see some spectacular sunsets. Very comfortable beds and perfectly clean house. We plan to come back soon. Thank you!

We can’t say enough about this house, location and the owners Barbie and John. Everything is amazing and now has become our place to stay when visiting Lake Travis. The marina is right there and a short drive away. Amazing view sitting on the balcony of Lake Travis. The owners are great to communicate with and have thought of everything needed while staying at their home. Very clean and love how comfortable the beds are in all rooms.

Our Happy Place

This is our happy place! A beautiful house and views of the lake from the balcony. We come down every year and go boating on Lake Travis. This house is very close to Lakeway Marina and is a very nice quiet neighborhood. Lots of great places nearby for food or you can cook in the kitchen as they provide everything you need if wanting to stay in a night! We just love this house and location and the owners are great!

Perfect house by the lake

The house was very clean and spacious. We had no problem fitting our party of 6! We could have fit many more. Perfect for our weekend stay!

Great location

We enjoyed all the space the house offered. The beds were comfortable. We were there for our sons wedding in February and it was abnormally cold (freezing) so we did not visit the lake but there is a view of the lake and the sunset was gorgeous from the porch. Only small issue is the couches had dog hair on them that was noticeable after you got up. I would have the cleaner vacuum the furniture after a pet has been there (although pets aren’t allowed).

Sisters reunion

Wonderful weekend for a group of sisters. Extremely well equipped and comfortable home for those who wish to cook. Spacious gathering places, easy one floor living for older folks, great bathrooms, plenty of linens and extras. Could not have been a better fit for our purposes. Spectacular sunsets from the front porch with a lake view.

Great group lodging

We stayed at this house for a wedding, and it was a great choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the venue. A little bit to travel if you’re going to Austin proper, but nice, secluded, and quiet.

Lovely Second Stay

Beautiful Lake House

This is our second stay at this beautiful lake house. The area has great restaurants and Lakeway marina is very close and great for renting a boat, jet ski etc. We really enjoyed our stay! The owner is great at communicating and the house is well stocked with everything you need!

Great Place in Lakeway

Great location

The house was a very convenient location as we have family living close by and we were in town for graduation festivities. Plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the mornings drinking coffee. Would definitely stay here again! Quiet neighborhood!

Excellent choice.

To those individuals looking for a place near Lake Travis and Austin, but are fearful for overbearing rental individuals, have no fears. Check in and check out was incredibly easy, no issues with anything, and enjoyed the stay immensely.

Worst rental ever: The good, the bad, the ugly and the unfortunate

I rented the house for my 80+ year old parents and older brother to stay while visiting family in Austin. The good
 Barbie the property manager had a working contact number and she responded if you called or texted repeatedly. The house suited our needs for space and location. The bad
 she gave us the wrong code for the lockbox and didn’t know the correct one, so it took awhile to get in. My parents found a full freezer with partial gallons and pints of ice cream amongst other opened food packages. The fridge was full of half used condiments, jams, partially finished juice bottles, an uncovered pat of butter on a plate. In the pantry there was a bare half eaten chocolate bar, open chips bags and pasta boxes, etc. In the bathrooms and restrooms were used soap bars, lotions and makeup. And these are only the highlights as the freezer and entire fridge door plus two shelves were filled. The ugly
 My parents complained immediately after check in and Barbie told them that her brother had been staying there and that they could eat and use whatever they liked. When I complained, she sent the housekeeper to clean out the fridge and freezer on day 3. When I got really angry, she sent the housekeeper to clean up the rest of the mess on day 5. My parents checked out on day 6. By then we had all spent hours getting this property into shape. Unfortunately I was out of the country and my parents did not inform me of the situation until after 24+ hours had passed so it was too late to get our money back. Unfortunately the owner did not see that there was anything wrong with what she was doing, informing me that several of her friends also do the same. The way I see it, she took advantage of sweet elderly people who didn’t know how rental properties should work. Unfortunately VRBO does not allow photo uploads on their app. In conclusion, worst VRBO rental ever. Completely unsanitary under normal circumstances never mind during a pandemic. Host is completely oblivious to normal health standards and dragged this ordeal out when she could have easily fixed it from day one.
