Baseball Tournament

Had an extended Prospect Wire tournament in the area with my oldest son. The house was PERFECT! The remodel was done really well. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We needed an extra night at the last minute and the host was extremely accommodating with our schedule and our needs. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay at a great house.

It Was Home Away From Home

Had a great stay! We visited for a week, and Jim's place was more than an excellent value. The house was clean and comfortable. The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood as well. Other than running out of a few provisions, this house was wonderful, and Jim was a great host. At the end of the day, this was a really nice place to come back to.

Graduation trip

Overall it was okay. When taking a shower you need to hold the faucet for fear of it falling off when turning the shower on. The air conditioner was extremely loud. The beds squeak when you move and are very uncomfortable. Also there was a rooster down the street that woke us between 5 and 5:30 AM every morning. The location was fantastic since it was only 8 houses from my son. I would stay again because of the location.

Fantastic 1st experience!

Jim (owner) was super interested in general maintenance of things. Stopped by to measure a window and asked if we saw anything that maybe he didn't 🤗 Home is exactly as photographed...many basics supplied. *including sugar and a few spices. SO look around before making your run to the grocery. SUPER close to a beach....but not the greatest swimming beach tho I think the city is trying to make it better. There is a public pool super close (at the beach)

Overview

The home was clean and the living room furniture had been updated since the pictures. We slept in the king size bed, it was comfortable and had new linens. The kitchen needs some updating, but was adequate. The bathroom was clean but had significant paint peeling off the ceiling and was stocked with one clean bath towel. We found additional towels in the bedroom closet but they were wet/damp as though they were not dried thoroughly after being washed. Thankfully we had a clean beach towel with us. Unfortunately, the home had a very strong, unpleasant odor . It was the worst in the laundry area where you enter the home but permeated the entire home. We stayed the night because we were tired and did not want to find a new place. We left the next day because of the odor but had booked for two nights. We chose this home due to all the positive reviews, so maybe this was just a one off.

I apologize for my late reply to you David and ofr your experience. I personally inspected the home after you checked out and ensured everything was addressed on your list. I am unsure what the odor was though and requested my cleaning team to reclean and disenfect everywhere inclding the laudry area. We actually have not have these type of negative reviews and my cleaning team is very thorough and efficient. If you choose to reserve again, I will personally check the house beforehand and ensure the cleaning team also does as well as giving you a discounted rate. Regards Jim

A bit old but it was fine

Looked to be begining rental and some items were old. Washer was sometimes didnt finish. Over all it was just fine though. We were happy to be in warm south florida.

Had a wonderful time at Jim's place. Loved fishing off the dock. The neighborhood is very quiet. As everyone else has written, furniture is so comfortable and all furniture reclines! The place smelled so clean and Jim is responsive to questions. The place is very reasonably priced. If I go to Port Charlotte again,I would definitely stay at Jim's place again.

Spacious Clean Water View

I really liked this location. It was less than a mile to the grocery store and other fast food and restaurants. It was on a very quiet street and on a dead end street. At the end of the street there's a public dock.. the living room was so spacious you could have company and everyone can sit comfortably. The kitchen was ample and the washer and dryer was a plus. Everything in the house worked great including Wi-Fi, TV, alarm clocks, coffee makers etc. Another plus was that the parking space was covered with a carport which was really important in the 90 to 94° weather that I experienced during my stay. The air conditioner worked perfectly and kept the house nice and cool and with the blinds open there was a ton of natural light which made my stay very pleasant. After all that's what I'm down there for... the sunshine! The hostess was quick to answer any questions and I'm really happy with this home. I definitely would rent it again if I had the opportunity.
