We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The West House for a family reunion. The house is lovely - spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location cannot be beat. It is a short walk to the beach and convenient for restaurants in Seahouses, Bamburgh, and Beadnell. It is a great base for exploring the Northumbrian coast. Lynne was a very responsive host. We would definitely recommend and love to return.

The host was super helpful right from the get-go and the house was just perfect for a reuniting family get together for a special birthday. Children (adults!) coming from all over the world. This is a beautiful house in a great position. Walking distance to the dunes and beach - and Bamburgh castle visible from most rooms. And it didn’t rain!! Perfect

Fantastic cottage

This was a fantastic cottage with wonderful amenities and set in the most beautiful location. Peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed walks to the beach and to town every day. Comfortable and clean with plenty of room. The entertainment garage was a bonus.

Beautiful home for a family holiday

We booked this house for a few days with our family of three couples, two children and an infant. The space was perfect for us, with comfortable bedrooms and a great balance of spaces to relax and socialise. House is surrounded by stunning views and tastefully decorated to a beautiful standard. The kitchen was very well equipped, garden was spacious and well maintained, and the games room in the garage was a great bonus for the kids! We hope to return!

What can I say, this stay was just 10/10. The level of detail and attention the design and finish of this really made it feel like the most perfect home away from home. Every single person in our group all commented on how gorgeous the property is and the location really is perfect. Less than 10 minute walk and you’re at the beach, 20 minute walk into seahouses and just over 35 to Bamburgh. A fab short drive to both locations. There wasn’t a single thing more we could have asked for to be in the property and the communication was truly fantastic and so speedy. Highly recommend and have told friends about this fab place. Will definitely be back in the future x

Fantastic week in a beautiful home. The house itself is stunning. Very light and spacious with plenty of room for our family of five. Fully equipped with all you will need , even down to an umbrella if the rain should come. The luxurious welcome pack was very well received too, thank you.. Very comfortable beds and powerful showers that set us up for the day. One feature that was welcomed by the teenagers was the plentiful electrical sockets and a personal favourite of mine was the record player and the 80s hits compilations. The garden is large, private and beautifully cared for. The addition of the games room is welcomed for children and adults to enjoy with darts, pool and table football. The clean and sandy beach is a short walk away as is the pretty village of Seahouses. The situation of the house means you can have the best of both worlds. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely come back to West House. I can't recommend it highly enough.
