Thanks for the review. We do respond to all texts and phone call as soon as we can, i am sorry you thought we may have been slow. That is why we do post rules and notes for your convivence of not relying to call or text Monte for simple things like when the pool is open. "Cleanliness could improve" is a little confusing since all we ask is for you to vacuum before you leave.

I am sorry for the feeling we did not meet your expectations. I do take responsible for the hot tub not being clean when you arrived. We did have a mayfly hatch the couple nights before and i left the cover on which they gather on over night. I should have left it off so they would get sucked into the filter which is what i did when you sent me the pictures. As far as the refrigerator i have been doing this business for 20 years and have these in all my rentals and have never had one break down. If it is making ice which the ice container was completely full in your rental then it cannot have been turned off. I always tell guests if you load a fridge with warm items like soda and beer along with groceries that have been in a car while traveling it will take 24 hours to catch up. If it was not working i would have had a call the next day which did not happen. As far as finding the firewood , garbage disposal and WiFi. I have these posted on a piece of paper as to where they are located in plain site in each of my rentals since this is the first question people ask. She overlooked this i guess. As far as leaving the windows open ALL week and overheating the AC and making it shut down was also no concern to the guests. All she said was "we are leaving in a couple days so it doesn't matter". We do give what is all included with the rental on VRBO so there is nothing missed. I try to have everything on the site for guests to know exactly what is included example no towels and pay laundry. If it is not read like where the firewood and garbage is located then why complain? Things do break or not work from time to time and i try to fix everything in a timely manner but if it is user error then i inform guests which sometimes they do not like. The home was reserved for 13 guests and you had 20 so yes you where charged accordingly for this which is correct. Again this is stated on the listing site which must of not read. This is our business in renting homes for families looking for a vacation on the lake. We want to be upfront and have everything on the site so there is nothing that can be called misleading. On another note about this guests. We allowed her to roll this reservation from last year to this year and lost over 8 grand due to this. I went far and beyond to accommodate this reservation and their family.
