I am really glad we found this rental! Smithfield is a great area to stay in while visiting Dublin, and this apartment fit our family (two parents, a small child, and a grandparent) perfectly. Charlie is also an excellent host, very happy to give tips on what to do and see around the city and responsive to any issues that come up.

A perfect spot to spend a couple of days in Dublin. The apartment is very next to the city centre so that you can reach all famous sights within 30 minutes by foot. It has more than enough space to host up to 4 people and is very good equipped with everything needed even for a longer stay. When arriving we the apartment was very clean, it was prepared perfectly for us and the communication with the host to check in and out was great. In summary the stay at this apartment was one of the main contributor for our lovely stay in Dublin and we can honestly recommend it to anybody else. We from our end looking forward to come back to it to enjoy another beautiful time in Dublin.

Had a lovely stay in Stoneybatter. Charles was a very responsive, flexible, and friendly host. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood has lots of shops nearby (food, coffee, pubs). The street was not “quiet” as there was construction going on right outside the apartment, which cannot be anticipated or avoided in the city. There is also a bar on the corner which had patrons outside throughout the night, but that is also common in Dublin. We did like that it was away from the crowds of center city. Overall, perfect stay for a family of 4 exploring and experiencing Dublin for a few days.

À propos de l’hôte

I’m recently retired so have begun to travel a lot more which is why I decided to make my home available to holidaymakers.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

When I retired I sold my house in Portobello and decided to move to Stoneybatter as it’s right in the middle of the city. The location has everything, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, pubs. An Independent art house cinema a 4 min walk plus right next to Smithfield Square. A quiet side
Street in the thick of the action. Really central with great public transport on the doorstep. Perfect place to live plus ideal for tourists.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

It’s very central, surrounded by tourists attractions, Guinness and Jameson are minutes away yet the apartment is on a quiet side street. Plus it was just totally renovated in December 2025 to be my home.
