The view was great and the rental was comfortable. Our only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that there were no linens or pillows for the foldout couch. (We simply contacted housekeeping.)

The view truly is amazing. If you are afraid of heights kind of be aware that you are fairly high up, but still worth "getting over" if you want the views, and you do... The little apartment is well maintained; there are a couple minor blemishes in the flooring, but really minor - so super overall I would say. The pictures perfectly represent the rooms. Having two bathrooms with showers in each is wonderful when compared to a single room in a hotel, very nice to have some space for a longer stay. All of the hotel's amenities are available, including the spa - and the spa is wonderful, don't skip it, we almost did. You check in just like a regular guest. Get out at the arrivals door (be sure you are at arrivals), get someone to handle your bags, they will escort you to the main lobby and check in, if your room isn't ready, they will hold your bags, and provide you a place to change into bathing suits / comfy wear (note: put your bathing suits in your carry on / purse / bag, so you don't have to rummage through your main suitcase). Then, go change (tip your porter / bell hop here to ensure that later your bags arrive to your room when it is ready) in the special area, go to the spa / pool / beach / bar. They will bring your luggage up to your room when it is ready - done. The hotel is busy with conferences, people roaming about etc. The pool is busy, getting chairs can be sometimes challenging, ask the attendants for help. Weekends are very busy at the pool.

A gem

Great size condo, fully stocked kitchen although it could use some mugs rather than just paper cups. Also, bring a wine opener. View of ocean was superb, and bedroom/bathroom were large and well appointed. The second bathroom was certainly helpful, and this unit could easily accommodate 4 people by using the sofa bed. Access to all hotel amenities is a huge plus. Great restaurants and beach/bar service.

Beautiful property

Property was beautiful. Property manager was very effective with communication. There was no pillows and blankets for the pull out couch. The master shower didn't drain so you didn't really feel clean getting out of the shower. Also the coffee maker was broken.

Beautiful View - but not the best line at Fontainbleau

We rang in 2023 at this lovely property - our third stay in the Tresor tower at Fontainbleau. This unit has a gorgeous South and East facing view from the 30th floor - you get a partial pool view, a beautiful beach view to the SE and a lovely city / canal view to the South which allows for gorgeous sunsets - and all the fireworks throughout Miami Beach on Ny Eve. In addition, some of the air conditioning noise from the nearby Sorrento tower is reduced in this line, which is a definite plus. I found the unit to be in perfectly good shape - everything (all furniture, kitchen amenities, laundry, showers etc) functioned well. That said, the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was 1) due to the proximity to the staff elevator which could be loud at night - and 2) no China coffee cups (which had been provided in other Fontainbleau units) which was not a major deal but a slight annoyance. We will be back to the Fontainbleau - our favorite place in Miami Beach, and VRBO is the way to do it. We love the free valet parking and spa access. The pool and beach area are lively but you can always find a quiet spot, and we like being mid-beach rather than lower into South Beach, which is an easy 2.5 mile walk or ride. The Fontainbleau is the perfect spot for long walks / bike riding (with 2 convenient nearby Citibike locations) with interesting points of interest both north and south. We also like the relative proximity to CVS for essentials not provided in the unit (sun block, groceries, laundry detergent etc). Overall a wonderful stay!

Disappointing

Overall, we had a negative experience at this Fontaineblue private residence. I will try to be balanced in my review. Negative 1.) It took us 1.75 hours to check-in. The line was 25 parties deep when we arrived at 6pm. We were told that the hotel's systems were down which continued to affect our stay over the next 4 days. 2.) We slept on perhaps the cheapest mattress we have ever experienced. The mattresses at Holiday Inn Express are a luxury compared to this mattress. 3.) I complained to the owner and management about the mattress multiple times. They essentially humored me by saying they just replaced the mattress and that they would send maintenance to fix the broken bed frame. Yes, that too. Nobody came to our room to fix the broken frame or even consider the fact that the mattress was in poor condition. 4.) Our room keycard stopped working after the first night and we were unable to key into our room the entire remaining 3 days. We had to ask a security guard or housekeeping to let us into our room every time. This caused us to wait 30 minutes to get into our room sometimes. The front desk said this was due to their system outage. 5.) The bathroom fan made a loud screeching sound that forced us to leave the light off at night rather than wake everybody up. 6.) Taking a shower felt like standing under a fire hose as the water stream was way too strong. The shower heads seemed to have not have been replaced in 20 years. 7.) The "complimentary" resort fee does not include the beach. It only includes the pool area. We had to pay an extra fee to get set up with a chair and umbrella. 8.) The scene at the Fontainebleu fits every cheesy stereotype of Miami Beach. This is not a family-friendly resort. We commiserated with 2 other families about this by the kiddie pool who wished they had stayed elsewhere. 9.) There were multiple pools to swim in, but the water looked dirty and murky in all of them. At first, we thought maybe they were salt water pools but then we went into two of the pools and confirmed that they were chlorine pools and they were just dirty. Positive 1.) The food scene is excellent at the Fontainebleu. We enjoyed Scarpetta and the breakfast buffet was probably the best we have experienced. Absolutely delicious with no shortage of selections. 2.) The views of the ocean, Miami Beach and Downtown Miami are awesome. We enjoyed taking in the nighttime and morning views. 3.) The staff was very friendly.

180 degree views of the ocean plus the view of the intercoastal and downtown. I have stayed at the resort many times. This is by far the best views. The unit has some wear and tear but i think all of them do at this point. overall amazing and will come back again.

Resort was top notch! I booked this suite because it has a kitchen and we (2 adults, 2 kids) like to cook our own breakfast but it wasn't very well stocked. 2 plates, 2 coffee cups, 2 forks, had to use a pot lid to cook biscuits in the oven. no dishwashing soap for handwashing or machine. Unit had plenty of space for us and separate bedroom for adults. Bathrooms were very nice and AC works great! Would stay here again!

Great location and best value at Fontaineblue

Family of 6 reveiw, fathers day weekend 2021.We used every part of this condo. KITCHEN:There are minor maintenance issues that could be addressed with the kitchen(faucet leaks, particle board base cabinets have water damage,really just little things.The Microwave, Oven &refrigerator all work well and the Ice maker makes a lot of ice. BEDROOM/BATHROOM:minor maintenance(drawers don't close properly, towel and toilet paper holder came out of sheetrock anchors)very minor things. Good: shower and tub always had hot water and never ran out.Toilet works and we used the tub and never had a problem with it either. LIVING ROOM:TV worked, pullout sofa worked no problem and we rented a roll away bed and it was put into our room before we got to the room.Carpet is not filthy to me but could use a little TLC only in certain areas.Curtain shades all work BUT the sliding door to the balcony DOES NOT LOCK.So anyone with little kids like me need to always be aware of that with the door. I put one of the folding chairs in the slide area to block the door from opening and it helped.The view is as showed in the pictures and all the condo pictures are very accurate. FONTAINBLUE THE PROPERTY: the overall property is very nice. Although maintenance issues are not with them, extra towels and pillows was never a problem to get as we had 6 in the condo. 5 min walk to the pool and beach never a problem getting towels at the pool or beach. I advise getting your pool chair spot set up before 9am because they get taken quickly. The Spa is nice to have access to with the owners' passes and free Valet parking is a big bonus. Honestly longest we waited was 10min during the 7-8pm dinner time. Other than that 3-5 min without calling. Hotel was at 100% capacity we were mostly in bow tie pool with 4,9,11,13 yr Olds swimming and still had plenty room. The bow tie pool is more adult like so don't be surprised to see a couple thong bikinis. 4 free chairs on the beach, umbrellas cost 25 to rent. OWNER: VERY GOOD communication with the owner when we had issues. Toilet clogged & shower not draining were all addressed within hrs. OVERALL: the only real issue we had was with the AC at night. The room does not hold the temperature the thermostat says and we all slept with the sheet not cover. We've had this issue with every vrbo in FL. It cuts off even if it hasn't reach the tempAlso hotel WiFi is spotty up there and my ATT cell phone service that high had issues. No problem on the ground

Great place - Fountainbleu overwhelmed & understaffed

Great room & location but front desk & getting cot...by 10pm after getting manager's cellphone #- was infuriating. They gave us a credit - that helped. Beach experience was not pleasant & expensive not knowing how it worked. Food really expensive - 1 1/2 hour wait time but really good. The hotel was admittedly overwhelmed & understaffed. Restaurants were all booked. The room, however, was perfect for us.

Five star property at a five star resort. My only compliant is the condition of the unit. One of the closet doors has a door handle not connected. The door to the master bedroom has the same issue on the inside, such that at one point the door wouldn't come open and we feared being stuck inside. The carpet is also pretty filthy. Other than that our experience was fantastic! Views are amazing, as are the restaurants, pools and beach. Service was good to great everywhere.

We have stayed many times in the Tresor and Sorrento Towers at Fontainbleau and always a great time. Much more quiet and reserved due to COVID-19 but the hotel and staff took safety very seriously and we definitely felt safe and comfortable. The room and views were amazing.
