Summer Cove loue du vendredi au vendredi du 15/06/2018 au 16/08/2018. Location de 4 à 6 jours envisagée pendant la plupart des autres périodes.

NichĂ© parmi les chĂȘnes et les pins sur la rive du lac Glenville, se trouve Summer Cove, l'une des propriĂ©tĂ©s les plus magnifiques du lac. L'utilisation intensive de matĂ©riaux naturels, ainsi que des meubles rustiques et antiques sĂ©lectionnĂ©s, donnent naissance Ă  l'expression «élĂ©gance rustique» qui dĂ©crit bien cette maison.
La grande piĂšce de 23 pieds avec son plafond aux poutres massives, sa grande cheminĂ©e en pierre et ses immenses fenĂȘtres offre de magnifiques vues Ă  des kilomĂštres. De superbes vues sur le lac et les montagnes peuvent Ă©galement ĂȘtre vues de toutes les chambres de la maison.
Vous ne pouvez pas vous empĂȘcher de vous dĂ©tendre sur le grand porche couvert avec son foyer extĂ©rieur. Le vaste pont ouvert orientĂ© vers l'ouest vous permet de regarder le lac, les montagnes, les couchers de soleil et d'innombrables Ă©toiles. Le grand feu de camp prĂšs du rivage, avec son amphithĂ©Ăątre en pierre environnant, est parfait pour la narration et les s'mores. Asseyez-vous sur le grand quai ou si vous avez envie d'ĂȘtre actif, vous pouvez nager, flotter, faire du kayak ou louer un bateau Ă  la marina voisine.
Une cuisine spacieuse de chef vous attend avec un comptoir, entiÚrement approvisionné avec pratiquement tous les équipements et appareils. La table de la belle salle à manger peut facilement accueillir 8 personnes et peut accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes (places supplémentaires à proximité). Si vous décidez de manger en plein air, la grande salle à manger sur le porche couvert offre une ambiance merveilleuse.
Idéalement situé du cÎté est du lac, il est beaucoup plus pratique d'accéder à la plupart des attractions de Cashiers et Highlands. Mais beaucoup trouvent qu'ils veulent juste s'asseoir sur le pont et s'imprégner de la beauté à couper le souffle!

Fantastic Mountain/Lake Property

Absolutely fantastic property - Well maintained and clean in an extraordinary location. Beautiful views and great outdoor spaces. Beautiful house on a beautiful lake

This property is fantastic. The house is well-built, well-appointed with terrific outdoor spaces. The lake is perfect for boating, fishing, and kayaking... all of which we enjoyed. The owner was very easy to work with, and his property manager could not have been better. We are definitely heading back one day!

Lodge Vibe Lake Glenville

The home is very well kept, nice kitchen, very clean. We would probably (as Floridians) prefer the summer, but the cozy lodge vibe made up for the crazy windy roads. Only note (no fault of owners) is if you have runners/walkers in your group, it is hard to do so from the home (no shoulders on very windy roads). Garreth was wonderful. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your property with us for Christmas! We had a white Christmas Eve & Christmas and waking up on Christmas morning was priceless! We were able to cut our own tree at Sawyer Tree Farm just minutes away! Home was beautiful, well kept, cozy, and laid-out well! The home felt larger, even more grand than the photos reflect. What a wonderful place to stay!

We LOVED our stay on Lake Glenville. Stephen's home was the perfect place to unplug and relax after hiking and boating all day. We simply could not have asked for a better place for our families to get a break from the summer heat. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the beds were very comfortable. We sat on the beautiful porch each evening taking in the cool air. The home is conveniently located to both Cashiers and Highlands. We enjoyed restaurants in both towns and even took a day trip to Asheville. We hope to return again next summer! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beautiful, well maintained and relaxing

We have stayed in many different lake houses in the nearby area for years; and we have finally found a home that we would like to come back to. We are a family of 11 and had plenty of room for relaxing and enjoying each others company. The property managers were very helpful as was the owner who personally called us to resolve a Wifi issue. I will warn you that the internet goes in and out but I understand it is common for the area. We were greeted with a s'mores kit, two bottles of wine and a bag of coffee. The house is well stocked with spices and quality pots and baking pans. A well organized drawer was also dedicated to storage containers, which seems to always be lacking at rental homes. Located very close to shopping. This is a wonderful home on a beautiful lake.

Beautiful home and property

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home! The property was great as well! The steps down to the dock were not too challenging and the floats, chairs, and kayaks were all a great addition once we got down there! Renting a boat for half of the week was an absolute must! The lake is so beautiful! There is so much to enjoy on the boat and dock! The dock was perfect for the boat rental and our jetski we brought with us! The location of the property was very easy to get to without too many twists and turns! The house was absolutely beautiful! The only issue we had was with the upstairs rooms being too hot and stuffy. We kept all of the doors and windows closed to try to keep the humidity down and air working but it was still very uncomfortable for the families staying upstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked and very useful! The fireplace on the porch was everyone’s favorite spot the whole week! We hardly left the property the whole week! It was absolutely wonderful! We are all ready to come back and stay again! The best part was the fact that our dog was allowed to join us!! We are so thankful that it was so accommodating with being pet friendly in such a beautiful home! Thank you to the owners and property manager for all of the help with the internet and power issues! It was a great experience and we would love to stay here again!!

Wonderful Property

This house is a wonderful one for a large family reunion and our large family (9 adults and one toddler, one baby) thoroughly enjoyed it and all its amenities. It was all we hoped it would be. You will say "Wow!" as you enter the house and enjoy your orientation house tour with the managers. There are large rooms to gather in and, yet, if someone wants some space to have some privacy they can find it. It is full of all the amenities you might need or desire. The kayaks and water floats were a big hit with everyone. The dock was perfect for my Jon boat. We sat around the outdoor fireplace at night, listened to music though the house music system's outdoor speakers, and played games, and cooked marsh mellows. The setting was all we expected it to be. The weather turned out to be cooperative and we had lots of fun in and on the water, in the house, and in the local area. Boat traffic on the lake is somewhat heavy on the weekend but we enjoyed a 22' pontoon boat rental and tubing with no problems on Sunday afternoon as we explored the lake with its waterfalls . Several of us also enjoyed hiking one of the nearby trails which has a beautiful waterfalls. We enjoyed our night out for pizza and Buck's Coffee Cafe on our way out. I recommend that you check with the owner to insure that no noisy construction or home repairs are going to be on-going at a nearby property while you are visiting.

Thanksgiving in the mountains

Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this most comfortable and welcoming house
.it felt like a home away from home. The house manager was most helpful and promptly responsive to our questions prior to check-in, and he met us upon our arrival. The kitchen and dining area had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy our Thanksgiving meal and meals throughout our stay. We did bring our own tv for the sitting area on the main floor as that was where we spent the majority of our time together. We enjoyed pre-Christmas activities in and around Cashiers. We would definitely return for another stay, especially when we could enjoy access to the lake.

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and again it far exceeded any place we have stayed before. Steve is very responsive and Gareth (the property Manager) are great to deal with. We will live to go back!

This property has been in my family for many decades. I have many wonderful childhood memories of times we spent at the original house just up the hill. My grandfather bought the surrounding 100+ acres of lakefront property in 1947 as the reservoir was being built (much of the original tract has now been sold but is still sparsely developed.) It's hard to imagine now, but this entire area (pre-lake ) was farmland. A small hamlet was once located down the lake from us (now 80 feet under water.) For over a thousand years before that, the Cherokee had lived on this land. We have found hundreds of arrowheads on the property over the years (a few are displayed in the foyer.)
We built Summer Cove in 2007. It has been a work of love to watch it continue to evolve toward perfection!
My husband Steve and I hail from Atlanta where Steve is a physician and I had long careers at SunTrust Bank and Emory University.
Please let the property manager know if there is anything you need. We would appreciate it if you would sign our guest book in the kitchen and please post a positive review on VRBO!

Just a few reasons we love Summer Cove:
Majestic views , long walks through the surrounding forest land, cool evenings filled with the sounds of cicadas, taking naps on the porch swing or the hammock, evenings full of laughter with friends while sitting around the fireplace on the covered porch, being mesmerized by the breathtaking sunsets, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, sitting on the dock in the early morning fog, listening to the geese and loons at dusk, gazing at the Milky Way from the open deck. Really, too numerous to list them all...
We love this magical place and hope you will as well!

Lakeside fire pit with amphitheater, 230' of shoreline. Extremely private with wooded lots on both sides. Large dock- perfect for large groups to relax on the water.
Being located on east side of lake makes access to local attractions in Cashiers and Highlands much more convenient and gives direct views of the spectacular sunsets from the main deck.
