Great Stay

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. There was so much to do on the resort. There activities for kids & adults. There were many pools and a Waterpark as well.

My kids really enjoyed the pools and water park and I liked that it was so close to everything especially the Walmart for last minute snacks and things everyone was super friendly and helpful

Loved it!

Clean, Has everything you need for your stay and more! Close to everything that the orlando area has to offer but not like youll need to leave as the property gas everything feom pools and a waterpark to minature golf. IT EVEN HAS A MOVIE THEATER.

Short stay

We were in town for a dance competition, so we didn’t get to enjoy the many amenities, but our room was clean, spacious, and everything as advertised. When we have more time, we’d love to go back.

westgate stay

Westgate is a beautiful resort with everything you need, no need to leave resort but if you do shopping and restaurants are close by. The unit had everything you need and king bed was comfortable. Jake was quick to respond to any questions we had

2nd Fabulous Trip

So much to do, yet so relaxing. Only went off property for groceries - - and walked there! Went down for the sunshine and thought we might do a park day. But loved the resort so much we didn't leave. Enjoyed each of the on- site restaurants as well. We will be back!

Really the only issue was checking in. Waited on line for over an hour to check in at 930pm it was very crowded and there seem to be other staff members available but not assisting any guest. The actual room was great everything was perfect

Misleading and not willing to accomidate

Specifically booked a place with a range and full kitchen because we want to cook for little kids. We got there late at 10.30 pm, checked in and there was no cooking range or dishwashers. Called manager said to check with reception if they have a different room or we can check-out and he will give a full refund but we have to check out right then. Asked if we can stay the night, will pay for that day and leave in the morning, said NO eventhough it was their fault and didnt give us what we booked. It was a nice trick, put us between a rock and a hard place. Knew we wouldnt check out at 11 pm with little kids & find another place that late at night so he offered a refund if we leave right then but he verywell knew we couldnt leave. Asked if we can get a discount for the lack of advertised ammenities, said NO.then. Told him how can i check out this las

Amazing place, but lacking privacy

Beautiful resort, great amenities, very functional kitchen, comfortable bed, sweet lanai, wonderful view. But what was up with the 1-1/2” gap under all the doors in the facility? We had an adjoining room and could hear their TV and people talking like they were next to us. We thought we had an “odd door”, so we contacted maintenance and they said this is how all the doors are. Sure enough, walking down the hall, every door has a huge gap under it. Never saw anything like it. You could literally see feet walking under the door. I could fit 2 fingers under the door. Really bizarre. I wouldn’t stay here again, just for this fact alone. There was no privacy. No fault of Jake - he was wonderful. Just think this should be stated on the description. If it wasn’t for the doors, I would’ve given this place a 5.

Can't trust what property management sells you

Everything about the place was really nice and convenient. Jake, the property manager scammed me by charging me for a room that had a jacuzzi tub after I specifically requested and he stated it was included. When I arrive, the room didn't have a jacuzzi tub. When I spoke to supervisor at check in desk, she stated Jake assigned me was the most basic room available and scmed me, but she was nice enough but upgrading me with a better room but still no jacuzzi tub which isn't her fault. Supervisor did state that she advised to make reservations through the resort and not the website because she sees scams all the time. After getting in touch with Jake to let him know about the situation he caused, he refused to answer me. Also, the entire time, up to the day of the reservation, Jake continue to send payment reminder every few days even though the final payment is automatically scheduled to come out your account. I asked Jake why I keep getting the notification and he stated it was my settings which was again not true because I never had other properties consistently request payments from me, especially at 4am. I just highly recommend to not make reservations through Jake

Nice unit but inaccurate description

We rented from, what I came to find out later, was a property management group. The photos online appeared to be from some 80+ properties that they manage. To begin with; the primary photo was inaccurate, as were several of the other photos. It's not that the unit wasn't nice enough, but not represented correctly. When we checked in I was surprised to see that the "requirements" that I had listed, in our request, had not been met. I told the "owner," that we MUST have a lower floor unit, with a jetted or garden tub, in the unit. When I went to check in, at the property, I was told that the unit was on the 6th floor. They had a smaller unit available on the ground floor, but no jetted or garden tub. Ultimately we had to settle for a unit on the 5th floor. My wife, who is horribly claustrophobic, and can't do elevators, had to climb up and down 5 flights, each day. The unit did have a large jetted tub, which operated intermittently. In addition, the unit had not been thoroughly cleaned. Also, during our stay, the A/C unit quit working, and the light on the ceiling fan would not stay turned off. These issues were corrected however. The thing that bothered me the most, I think, was the statement made by the reception person, when we checked in. I told him that we had rented this through a property management company with VRBO. He indicated that was a risky move. He then stated that he was frankly surprised that my reservation had even been entered, under those circumstances. Bottom line for us: we will not rent another property, through VRBO, unless we are dealing directly with the owner, not a property management firm.

Westgate is Nice, Check-In was Not

We arrived at Westgate at 11pm and they couldn’t find us in the system at all. Apparently this happens time to time when booking through a 3rd party app like VRBO. When we finally got to our room around 12:30am, we were put in the wrong room. Unfortunately we were told it was too late to change it and we’d have to contact VRBO. Jake, the property manager, helped us get booked in the right room. Unfortunately, the following morning they still couldn’t find the right room after we sat at check in for 2 and a half hours and we ultimately left our stuff at baggage so we could go to Disney and not spend our entire morning at Westgate. We then attempted to take the free shuttle service that was advertised only to find out that they stopped the free shuttle in 2021 because of Covid. We ended up having to take Uber and Lyft everywhere which cost us an another $384 during our stay. Oh and the WiFi isn’t free either. They have daily rates and a 5 day pass. The one thing that boosted Westgate rating up is that the entire staff on their grounds is extremely friendly. Each person we dealt with at their property was super kind.

Birthday Getaway

This is my third time at Westgate Resort and I never am disappointed. The resort has now implemented a quiet time and cleaning staff are visible. The entire staff is modeling how an organization truly cares about its visitors and employees. This particular unit it not set-up like the normal villas. This villa has been totally renovated. The pictures are of a typical studio. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay, It was quiet and clean. The only constructive feedback is the housekeeping provided everything except wash cloths in the unit. Luckily, I always bring some because I wear makeup. I highly recommend this property.

Birthday Weekend

Check-in was under the wrong name, but the host was able to change it around. We check-in and was shown to are apt. We went to the restaurant on the resort. The prices were high but the food wasn't that good. The arcade was fun and many games to choose from. We did check out the store which was high also, whinch made us drive out to buy items that we needed. Over all we enjoyed are selves very quite did not hear a sound. I would let other now where I stay due it not that far from Dinsey.

Great getaway

We had a great time at a Westgate property. First timers. When we first arrived it was very overwhelming and a lot to take in, but once we got the our room and walked around it was better. Lots of people walking and driving cars/carts/ bicycles throughout the property (almost too many). The new Italian Chophouse Is definitely a must do- great staff/service/food!
