Cabine familiale confortable-accÚs à la plage isolée, attend vos vacances en famille

La cabane familiale Balcomb a été construite en 1910 et fait depuis des souvenirs de famille.

Cette cabane pittoresque dispose de deux chambres à l'étage. La chambre familiale contient une reine et trois lits jumeaux. La deuxiÚme chambre contient un lit queen. Les bains situés à chaque étage rafraßchissent la brise. Laveuse et sécheuse situé dans la baignoire en bas aider à garder tout le monde libre de sable quand ils ne sont pas sur la plage.

Il y a une réception de télévision peu fiable. La cabine est équipée d'un lecteur DVD et de plusieurs films vintage.

Grande cour est parfaite pour un jeu de badminton ou de récréation pour les enfants.

La plage est à un pùté de maisons, l'accÚs au quartier est à 5 min à pied.

Situé à 2 miles au sud de Rockaway Beach-prÚs de restaurants, antiquités et parcs favorables à la famille.

It was wonderful, centrally located. In the middle of Astoria and Newport. We fished, walked to a winderful beach from the house, went site seeing. We brought a ROKU stick so tv was available. There are tons of DVD'S there.

We love this cozy beach cabin! It’s a 5 minute walk to a beautiful, quiet sandy beach. The cabin is comfortable and equipped with just about anything you need. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Portland (90 minute drive) and visited on the weekends. The home has a large assortment of games, which we played every night, along with a BBQ. We brought our streaming device (Google TV) plugged into the TV and had all the channels we needed plus local stations. We could hear the Rockaway Scenic Train whistle which was one my favorite parts of our stay. Also a close drive to Manzanita, Cannon Beach, Rail Ridder, antique shops, Pronto Pup, and MUCH MORE. We love this home and hope to return. Thank you for a great VRBO experience!!

Beautiful family vacation

Our stay was great. We stayed a total of 11 nights and enjoyed every second of it. The house is cozy and a cute beach house. The 5 min walk to the beach made going to the beach a breeze and meant we could go often. Thank so much for sharing your home with us. We cant wait to come back again.

Lovely cabin

We love this little beach house. The kitchen has all the amenities, I love the downstairs bathroom and laundry. The loft upstairs is great for guests and grandkids! Love this little place! Appreciate the WiFi!!!!!!!

Great location and the house has everything you need. Great beach to walk on! The living room furniture wasn’t comfortable for my 90 year old mom but if you aren’t sitting around a lot it’s ok.

Relaxing getaway

Loved the location of this property and it’s proximity to the beach and other little towns along the coast. I took a walk on the beach every morning I was there as it’s just about a 3 minute walk. The local train passed by the house daily so that was a fun bonus. House was clean and had great water pressure for showers.

Relaxing

Cozy and comfortable

We really enjoyed out stay here. It's an old house but it's clean and has lots of charm. We really liked the location as it's not in the hustle and bustle (like Cannon Beach) but close enough to good shopping and restaurants and nearby towns. Rockaway beach is a very nice beach that is not at all crowded. Just a mile walk to the south gets you to a rock jetty with lots of creatures to looks at. We received the instructions prior to arrival and everything went very smoothly. We would definitely stay here again and the price was fair.

Lovely Stay

The home was perfect. I loved the cottage, vintage feel. It felt incredibly homey. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The home is a very short distance to the beach. My partner and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. The neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful. Hedie is one of the sweetest hosts ever. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future. :)

Cozy at the Beach

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean & comfortable. .Quiet, too. Nicely appointed kitchen. Didn't use the heat stove or TV for movies. Company of our friends took our time. I'd love to stay again! Hedi was a great host. Bedrooms are upstairs so pack accordingly. Not a problem for us. Good times.

Overall a good stay here. Family of 6; 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids. We booked 8 nights and only a few weeks in advance, so we were grateful to find a place available in this beautiful area for late July/early August.The space felt a little cramped for all of us, such as not enough room at the kitchen table for everyone to eat together, and our 4 boys shared the upstairs bedroom. The 2 bathrooms are pretty small; one of them is a laundry room/bathroom combined. Listing photos are updated since our reservation was made, which is helpful in understanding the sleeping arrangements. Older place for sure, with some cute decor.Cleanliness could be improved. (We don't have pets, but understood pets are allowed here.) We found tufts of animal hair in a variety of places as well as cobwebs/dust, that seems to be easily noticed by the cleaner who comes after checkout.Awesome, prompt communication from owner on any questions we had! Plenty of towels and kitchen is well stocked with utilsels, plates, etc, even roaster sticks for a beach campfire.Great location near the beach and lots of DVDs/games in case it rains.

Welcoming with All the Extra Touches of Home

It takes a special generosity to open one’s home to strangers. We appreciate all the extra touches you added for us to be comfortable and feel at home. We had the unique opportunity to experience the famous Rockaway Beach July 4 celebration, parade, and Firecracker Wiener Nationals! We especially appreciated the instructions so that we could easily take a brief walk to the wonderful nearby expansive beach! This stay also enabled me to do a book signing at Beach Crafters shop for my three Dachshund Tall Tales books. We had excellent customer service and a delicious meal at the Sanddollar restaurant. And ate Tillamook ice cream every single day at the Sea Breeze Icecream shop!

Better than advertised

This house fits into the region perfectly and was a wonderful place for our stay at the Oregon coast. I stayed here for a few weeks with my 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl. The house is nicer than it looks in the photos and provided us a wonderful taste of life at the coast. The beach is extremely close and the town is just a very short drive away. Near lots of other small towns and many state parks/nature attractions worth exploring, too! Cons: there's a lighthouse about a mile away that beeps every 20 seconds, almost all night and day! It can be fairly loud, depending on the direction of the wind. Took us awhile to be able to sleep through it in the mornings. I also recommend sharpening ot updating the kitchen knives, they were hard to use due to dullness.

Amazing experience!

First impressions I thought my family and I were going to be a little cramped (4 kids and 3 adults) in this 2 bedroom house but looks are deceiving! This home has plenty of space and is very charming and cozy. Short walk to the beach. Very friendly neighbors and plenty to do around. We traveled a few days but mostly spent our vacation at the house. It was wonderful! Will definitely book again!
