The location of the apartment was fantastic. Walkable to most areas in the city. The apartment was also recently renovated, so everything looked great. Looks exactly like the pictures, which is very nice. Communication with the property manage was very good. Had a little mix up when trying to check in, for some reason the check in instructions got lost, but when I called them they instantly provided them.Highly Recommended, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely Apartment

Great Location and helpful host. David was easy to communicate with, available and even helped getting a cab for the 5 of us. Very close to major sites, pretty much no more then 20 minutes of walking from everything. Beds were comfortable, good shower pressure, and w/d. just Lovely.

Lovely space just as pictured

We loved David’s space and would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a place in Florence. We had to pay a tax up front per person in euros on arrival that was a bit higher than in previous times as their rates increased recently. Just as a note for those traveling through Florence. The location was perfect and quiet and very walkable to all the areas we wanted to see in Florence. The beds were very comfortable and have two bathrooms for 3 people was so nice. We were also able to wash and dry our clothes which is another feature we were looking for when booking. Do not hesitate to book this lovely, clean and well maintained place. David also left us water and a bottle of champagne in the fridge on arrival. Check in was very easy also.

Fabulous Art Apartment in the loveliest neighborhood

We absolutely loved the apartment and its location. The ceiling art was especially beautiful. We walked to all the main points in the city. If I had to nitpick I would say please provide more than 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person. We stayed 4 nights and fresh towels would have made our stay even better! App in all it is a 10!

We had a lovely stay this past June 1-3. My husband, daughter (18), son (14) and I arrived via train from Venice. Other than a taxi to/from the train station, we walked everywhere as the apartment was in a perfect central location. The apartment was lovely. Very clean and roomy. My son slept on the sofa bed, my daughter had one bedroom and my husband and I the master. Comfortable beds and plenty of room. It had a washing machine which I took advantage of as well as a laundry drying rack in the closet to use. A few steps away from the apartment was a grocery store as well. Overall I would highly recommend staying here! We had a lovely stay. David was easy to communicate with and everything was as advertised!

Santa Croce is one of the four historic districts of Florence, along with Santa Maria Novella, San Giovanni and Santo Spirito and takes its name from its icon, the Franciscan Basilica of Santa Croce, commonly referred to as the "Temple of the Italian Glories" for the great names that are buried inside it, including Michelangelo, Machiavelli and Galileo. Home to famous frescoes by Giotto, the honorary tomb of Dante, the Annunciation by Donatello and other works of art, the Santa Croce complex is one of the places to visit absolutely for those who come to Florence. But beyond the much renowned Basilica there is an entire district to discover. One of the pearls of the district, if you are an art lover, is the Horne Museum, inside Palazzo Corsi. Once the home of Herbert P. Horne (1864-1916), a Renaissance scholar with English origins, passionate about art, today it is the museum that houses his collection. Upon his death in 1916, Horne left his collection (which includes over six thousand works) to the Italian state, creating a foundation intended "for the benefit of studies". Today the Horne Museum presents itself to visitors as the English collector wanted it: a refined treasure chest of masterpieces of painting and sculpture, but also and above all a house, furnished with precious pieces from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century. Another treasure of Santa Croce is the Casa Buonarroti. If seeing Michelangelo's tomb, rightly, moved you, this is an almost obligatory stop. A museum and monument at the same time, this place represents the memory and celebration of the genius of Michelangelo, one of the greatest sculptors of all time. Don't miss the first masterpieces of his youth (two marble reliefs, one of which reflects Donatello's impact on his art), and the collection of drawings and mementos related to the Buonarroti family.
