Grande cuisine avec coin repas comprenant table de ferme et bar attenant. Le débordement peut profiter de la salle à manger grillagée juste à côté.

Cuisine ouverte sur salle familiale avec grande télé et foyer au gaz. Double portes françaises ouvrent sur un beau porche.

Une vue magnifique sur le lac depuis presque toutes les pièces.

Profitez de votre café ou cocktail sur le porche couvert de 500 pieds carrés. Empruntez l'escalier court jusqu'au lac pour profiter de la baignade ou de la détente sur le quai de baignade et du double slip de bateau. Explorez la crique calme mais grande sur votre propre bateau, ou sur l'un de nos kayaks ou pédalo.

Beaucoup d'espace pour dormir 5 à l'étage et 8-9 en bas.

This house was a very nice place to stay. The hosts were great with communication and the view of the lake was beautiful. Although we didn't spend much time at the house, it was a great place to come to for rest and relaxation after a long day of wedding set up and wedding day activities.

Great location

Great house! This is the second time we've stayed here. Very spacious, comfortable beds and plenty of parking. The basement ping pong table room is a nice bonus too!

Beautiful place

Our family and 2 others (12 people) stayed here for a weekend reunion. There was plenty of room for everyone and the game room was great to keep kids entertained without electronics. The lake was beautiful and we all enjoyed lounging and swimming off the dock. The kayaks were also great! I would definitely recommend staying here!.

36th Annual Girl Trip

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Plenty of room to spread out, yet come together on the lovely back porch overlooking the lake or gather in the fantastic kitchen to share meals together. Pamela was a wonderful host, very accommdating and responsive. We would definite love to stay here again!

Great Time

This property was a great choice for our family Thanksgiving. Great open space, beautiful porch overlooking the lake, and lots of beds. Loved the ping pong table, too. We had a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect fit for our family and we loved our time on the lake. The owner was easy to contact and willing to answer any questions we might have. Our only complaint is our stay went by way too fast.

Great place to enjoy the lake!

Host was very friendly and kept communication open as needed. Even volunteered to mail us something we left behind. House was in a nice location, not hard to get to, very spacious, and had plenty of parking. The whole transaction was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again.

Feels like home away from home

This was our 4th stay at The Nest. We love the location and it feels like home when we walk in the door. The owner is great to work with and communicate with! The house is equipped with everything you need.

Smith Lake 2024

The location was very easy to access from the interstate and State highway. The location is very close to the nearest marina for boat launching and fuel access. The home is positioned in a nice cove to get away from the major traffic area. It was perfect for our family 10.

Lovely place on the lake

Great place on the lake just off main channel. Clean and spacious with great views and access down to dock. Communication w property owners was great. We had 5 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Kids enjoyed use of the kayaks and the ping pong table.

Smith Lake Nest

We had a great stay at "the Nest" on Lewis Smith Lake. The house was perfect for our family. Fishing out on lake in AM and evening, hanging out on dock and floating around the "lily pad" good bit of the day. We all want to come back next year.

FUN ON THE WATER

IT IS A BEAUTIFUL HOME AND VIEWS. IT DOES HAVE A LOT OF STEPS LEADING DOWN TO THE BOAT WHEN RENTING FOR ELDERLY AND CHILDREN. tHE HOME HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED.

Overall great trip!

My family and I stayed 6 days at this beautiful home right on Smith Lake. It’s spacious and well laid out, with multiple living spaces for all ages to spread out and not feel cramped. Lots of extras provided, like plenty of beach towels, kayaks and life jackets for our use. While we experienced a few not optimal conditions (house had not been well cleaned before our arrival, pet hair on the floor, rug and furniture), the host was very apologetic and refunded a portion of the fee. Just be aware if you have someone with pet hair allergies that this may be an issue. The lake itself is BEAUTIFUL!! One of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. And this area didn’t seem to be super crowded or busy with boaters, which was perfect for us since we had several younger kids. We pretty much had this end of the lake to ourselves for most of the stay.

Annual Family Gathering/3 generations

The Nest never disappoints. 4 days/3 nights at Smith Lake is perfect for our crew. We swam at the dock, rented a pontoon boat…..for tubing and relaxing, & jumped from the rocky cliff. Ate lots of great food, had coffee on the dock at sunrise, and played lots of Pictionary & LRC at night. Lots of spaces in the house to spread out when needing space, kitchen is well appointed, beds are comfy. Pamela is communicative and responsive.

Unwanted company, Don't stay here!

The property is very nice but the host Pamela isn't responsive with messages. That isn't the worst of it. Thank God there wasn't an emergency she takes hours before responding. The host. Pamela asked me to wash a couple loads of towels (after paying nearly $2000 for our stay) I didn't mind too much since she allowed us a later check out time at 1p.m. During our entire stay I noticed rat/mice traps. We had unwelcome quest...rats!!! For nearly $2000 this is unacceptable. A few fays after checkout I get an email from the host saying my card will be charged $100 for incidentals. I'm thinking what incidentals. Nothing was damaged at all and we cleaned up!!! This host is trying to charged me $100 for her cleaning crew "reporting" there was extra cleaning needed of picking up games, water bottles, and dishes. All lies. We took out over 6 bags of trash, put dishes in the dishwasher, washed 2-3 loads of towels. Then she states they have to get the washer swrviced because too many towels were dried and it made the dryer unbalanced 😡 seriously???? As a traverler why am I cleaning up? That's what a cleaning service is for and we paid for that fee as a apart of our booking. Then on top of there were rats!!!! Don't waste your time or money. Its over 30 minutes drive to food and shopping.

Stephanie, it is unfortunate that you chose to take our disagreement over $100 to this extreme. When my cleaning service complained that this was the "messiest the house had been in 3 years", it seemed fair to pass along their extra $100 charge. Not once during your stay was I notified of issues or concerns, or they would have been addressed. I went out of my way to have house decorated for Xmas for you, and allowed early arrival and departure at no charge. I did not pass along the washer repair fee, because I understand things happen. As a precaution during the winter my pest service places mouse traps, and I hate that it sounds like you saw one. Sometimes with historic 5 degree weather, things are out of my control. To future renters, I hope that you will scroll through 4 years of great reviews and recognize this as a fluke situation. It is certainly not indicative of how we care for our family home or renters! Before check-in, you will have my cell phone and can text any time with issues or even simple questions. There are 3 restaurants, a grocery and Dollar General within 10 minutes. Yes, "shopping" is in Jasper 25 minutes away, but I recognize that's not the draw for this lake! As with any large rental, check-out instructions ask for most towels to be washed and trash removed, which allows us to provide ample linens for you stay, and then prepare it for the next renter. Could not want for more

Beautiful house in a amazing setting. Quiet comfortable and breathtaking views. What else could you want. Only problem was our vacation was way too short. Been trying to find an excuse to take another vacation there.
