Great family stay

We had a great time and everything we needed for our stay. The kids packed in a lot of fishing and paddle board. The beds are all super comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Lake Haus exceeded all expectations. The house fit our family of 11 perfect, with plenty of sleeping room for everyone. The provided paddleboards, water mat and kayaks were the perfect bonus to fun family time in the river. The hosts were very communicative and have put a lot of thought and detail into the house, to make the stay fun and accommodating for guests.

We had a blast!

The kids refused to leave the water at Lake Haus at Lake McQueeney! We had an awesome time, the number of great beds and comfortable twin mattresses was really appreciated, and yes those blackout curtains work well!

The Lake Haus was perfect for our family’s first river trip. There were 7 adults and a 9 month old. All the accommodations were wonderful, the house was beautiful and the owner was so wonderful working with us and accommodating all of our needs. A beautiful home!!

Weekend Getaway

This property was more than we expected. Nice sized rooms, comfy beds, and immediate, private river access. The use of Kayaks was great, water was a little low, but refreshing, and the fish were biting. Overall great time and we will be back. Thanks Collin!

Amazing !!

Absolutely incredible stay!We had the best weekend at this private lake house! The property was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and had everything we could possibly need—and more. Even though the water level was a bit low, the hosts went above and beyond to make access to the lake super easy and enjoyable. We spent hours in the water and had such a fun, relaxing time. You can tell the owners put a lot of care into making this a welcoming and well-stocked getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic time at Lake Haus

We had a fantastic time at the Lake Haus! House is wonderful and well taken care of and accommodated our group of 12 easily. The water is shallow but the addition of the lower deck made it easy for us to get in to swim, kayak, paddle board, etc. My girls loved getting to explore the river and the adults loved getting to hang out together on the large shaded deck. Great weekend in a beautiful home!

Full experience

Loved the place! The owners clearly know how to live the lake life and we loved experiencing this little city in their place. Spacious for our all adult group but has all the extras for those traveling with kids too. It was easy to relax in this peaceful little neighborhood. Fantastic Rental !!!

We had a wonderful 10-day stay @ Lake Haus. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lakeside rental. Our adult kids and our two grandkids (ages 7 and 10) loved it too! The beds were VERY comfortable...better than most hotels! Collin, the owner, was very easy to work with and was so accommodating to all our needs. If you are considering renting on Lake McQueeney, RENT THIS ONE !!!

Fantastic place for family get away!!

Loved everything about the Lake Haus!! Pictures do not depict how amazing this home is inside and out- they have thought of all the details, large or small to ensure a great stay!! Plenty of space and all the amenities you could think of- even though lake low, water still very enjoyable and loved that it’s private not like being in New Braunsfels on top of everyone- able to float, kayak and paddle board! Definitely check this Lake Haus out for you family!! 5 stars for sure!!

Last Hooraw!!

We used this home as a quick last getaway before school started. We floated the river and did some school shopping. This home was perfect because it was NOT in the hustle & bustle of the city, but still close and the kids (and adults) could be on the lake while we were not on the go. We had 12 people in our group, kids and adults, and the home was perfect for us.

Spring Break 2023

We had a great stay over Spring Break. The house was wonderful, plenty of room and a lot of little extras. The owners really thought of everything! The view was awesome. There were even cows across the river, which you don’t see too often. Collin was very responsive and accommodating which made for a stress free and relaxing time. We would love to return for another visit later this year. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Fabulous getaway

This house was everything we needed it to be. It was clean, well kept and had space for everyone. The game room was great and there was a lot to do for everyone. The lake equipment was super nice to have and all the kids had a blast. We loved the mornings on the deck and enjoyed the views. The property itself is so unique- the kids loved the cows, quail and neighborhood cat. The house was well equipped and we had all the pots and pans necessary for cooking and preparing food. We highly recommend this house and will hopefully be back soon!
