Severe Health Hazard! Black Mold, Dust, and Debris Infested Ventilation System

I regret to share that my experience with these hosts was disappointing due to significant misrepresentations regarding the property and their intentions. Upon arrival, I found that the photos were misleading, concealing many flaws in the furniture and a general lack of cleanliness. The excessive number of tchotchkes and dust collectors on every surface left little room for guests and their belongings. I began experiencing intense congestion and coughing up phlegm with sore eyes and throat a lack of appetite, headache, dizziness and vertigo within 24 hrs. The situation worsened after just three nights of my 23-day stay. My symptoms were so intense that I sought urgent care at the local Villages VA Health Clinic. A VA physician diagnosed me with a "Severe Allergic Reaction" to dust and mold, prescribing three medications for treatment. I had never been diagnosed with allergies before this incident. The physician ordered me to leave the property immediately to prevent further health complications. This urgent advice was reiterated in a follow-up call and is documented in the federal medical database maintained by the VA. I also have photos of the black mold, debris and dust in vents. Despite these issues, the hosts have refused to accept any responsibility and even charged me an additional cleaning fee, despite my stay being cut short to just four nights due to these severe health concerns. I advise future guest

First trip to The Villages

This was such a comfortable place to spend a month. The location was quiet yet convenient to everything we wanted to do. There was plenty of comfortable seating. The bed was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked. The appliances worked perfectly. Very efficient washer and dryer. This is in the older area of The Villages. It is quaintly retro and reminiscent of an old Florida resort vacation. Also provided is a very good 4 person golf cart that worked great.

John and Tara's Jason Street Home

The Jason Street home was perfect for our stay. Home was spotless and very well decorated. Grill and golf cart included with the rental. Communication with the owners was excellent. We will rent this home again. Thanks for doing it right.

Wonderful stay in the Villages

The home was lovely and clean and in a location with lots of fun things to do. We enjoyed all the pools, rec centers and music the area had to offer and got to most places in the golf cart. The host was responsive and informative. I would stay here again for sure! Best experience we’ve had in a Vrbo.

Beautiful home, away from home!!

The property is well kept up and beautifly manicured and the home is clean and very comfortable to live in. The owner was a dream to work with. Best stay in FL I have had since I have been coming here to see my sisters for over 15 years. I will definitely be back to work with this owner and stay at this "better than home, away from home" property!

Nice 2 bedroom 2 bath rental! It was nice having our own bathrooms! Very clean! Pool just 2 blocks away! Nice laundry room attached! Screened in porch! Owners also provided a golf cart, which was very nice! Would stay there again!

Excellent location

The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood in The Villages. I travelled with a friend and we both felt very safe. It’s close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Many Florida attractions are in close proximity. The house was comfortable, well furnished and stocked. We had a little trouble reaching the owner upon arrival and could not get access inside the house. However once we’re able to reach her she gave us the correct code and after that everything was fine.
