Profitez de SML de notre belle maison en bois rond authentique avec 3 chambres et 3 salles de bains. Cette cabine a été conçue par des experts, construite dans les années 1980 avec des bûches d'époque vers 1825. Bien que le matériau de structure ait près de 200 ans, il possède toutes les commodités modernes à l'intérieur, y compris la nouvelle chaleur centrale et la climatisation, de beaux planchers en bois et des portes en bois massif. Nous avons une TV HD avec lecteur Blu Ray / DVD et beaucoup de films, ainsi que des livres, de nombreux jeux et une cuisine bien équipée. Apportez votre maillot de bain et beaucoup de lotion de bronzage et profitez de l'immense quai à deux niveaux. Attachez votre bateau ou jet ski au quai - ou faites bon usage des 3 kayaks, pédalo et jouets flottants des propriétaires. Pêcher, jouer au corn-hole (planches fournies), ou se détendre et lire un livre sur le quai ou sur le grand pont arrière de la maison. Grill comme un patron? Nous nous sommes couverts. Envie d'une randonnée? - dirigez-vous vers SML State Park, à seulement 11 km en voiture. Situé dans une crique tranquille positionnée à quelques centaines de mètres du canal principal (près de R27), c'est là que vous trouverez votre R&R, en toute tranquillité d'esprit sachant que vous êtes toujours à proximité de toutes les commodités dont vous avez besoin - En voiture: Nourriture Lion est à 6,5 km et le pont Ford Hales à 11 km. 40 minutes du stade Liberty University et 1 heure 20 minutes du stade Lane à Blacksburg! Cela ne vaut tout simplement pas mieux que Cabin Life on the Lake!

Le quartier HOA a un lancement de bateau situé à environ 1 mile de la maison. Avons-nous mentionné qu'il y a deux établissements vinicoles à moins de 3 miles (Hickory Hill Winery et Ramulose Ridge Winery)?

Une excursion qui mérite d'être mentionnée à seulement 44 miles de la cabine, à environ 45 minutes en voiture, est McAfee Knob (au sommet de la montagne Catawba), l'une des randonnées d'une journée les plus agréables et pittoresques sur le sentier des Appalaches - hautement recommandé!

En haute saison, les frais de ménage comprennent le service de linge. Veuillez apporter vos propres serviettes de plage pour le quai et le bateau. Our family of 6 enjoyed our week at the cabin on the lake. The cabin is charming and met all of our expectations. We especially enjoyed the 2 level dock/boathouse in the quiet cove and the easy access to the main lake.

Cabin and Lake Life!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Listing description is accurate, but the experience was even better than we could’ve imagined. Great location @SML with grocery only 10 minute trip and easy boating to everything the lake has to offer. Swimming off the dock is fantastic, and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat around the quiet cove. Grilling out on the deck and S’mores at the fire pit, hiking at the state park, and relaxing in the cozy, well-appointed cabin - love the rustic feel with all the modern amenities…we’ll be back!

Labor Day Getaway

Nice trip! The cabin was comfortable and cute. Plenty of room for us all. The walk to the lake was fairly short and the wide steps help a lot when you have bad knees! The dock was lovely with the refrigerator, chairs and a swing. We enjoyed being able to bring our pet! The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking tools, pots, pans and we didn't want for a thing! Thank you to our host for being communicative and informative -

Awesome property and location!

My family loved everything about this cabin. The cabin is very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need and the hosts have provided many extras including a well stocked kitchen, a hammock, corn hole boards, games, kayaks and paddle boat. The dock is a great addition that we were able to tie our boat to during our stay. The location on the lake is close to the main part of the lake but away from the busy boat traffic. The property is very wooded but has excellent path lighting to the dock and looks beautiful in the evening. The hosts where wonderful to work with and provided excellent communication throughout the entire renting process. We had the best time at SML and hope to return next summer to this same wonderful place!

Bucket List is a Treasure!

We had a great visit at Bucket List. The cabin, location and amenities are all exceptional. However probably the standout on this trip vs the 12+ others that we've done via rental was the responsiveness and attention to detail from you as owners. That's a difference maker in a crowded market. If we return to SML Bucket List will be our choice! Our objective was a combination retreat and recharge over the Memorial Day weekend. The cabin is a great piece of architecture and completely comfortable and outfitted with modern conveniences. The owners are exceptional as was the fishing directly from the dock which provides great access for kayaking (provided) or swimming. We strongly recommend Bucket List be added to your list.

Wonderful Cabin Stay

Truly an amazing getaway! Incredible stay in an authentic log cabin. The owners were fantastic to work with and very prompt on getting back to us with answers to our questions. The property is kept immaculate and is surrounded by trees that provide an incredible canopy of shade to help keep the cabin cool in the summer. An amazing double decker (docker?) with a neat bar area that allowed us to keep our drinks cold in the provided mini fridge. It also allowed us to store our life vests during our stay. We enjoyed the firepit during the evenings and made smores - which were a hit with our 2 grandsons. :) We loved having access to the paddle boat and 3 kayaks. And our 3 year old Golden Retriever loved the lake, as well. We couldn't keep her out of the water! :) The only thing that would have made the stay better was to have a boat so we could enjoy the entire lake. Next time, for sure!

This log cabin is legit

The workmanship of the cabin is very nice. It was built in the 1980s with reclaimed logs that are well over 100 years old. Really cool, but also very comfortable. The AC worked great. Appliances (dishwasher and oven) were maybe from the 1980s, but amazingly, they worked very well. There were good, sharp knives. The grill was decent and there was extra propane. There was adequate dishes, glasses, pots/pans, and silverware. We used the big iron skillet every day. The listing is slightly confusing/off. The BR listed with 2 queens has only one bed. There was a mattress in one of the closets, so we used that. The den listed with sleep sofa is the main family room. Beds were comfortable. No TVs in the bedrooms, but we actually brought one with a FireTV. The internet is good, with close to 100mbps down. The 3rd bathroom is in the basement with a separate entry. Not ideal, but it is convenient to the dock. There is also laundry in the basement which we put to good use. There are a lot of supplies in the dock shed, including kayaks, paddles, life jackets, floaties, and a small fridge. There is also a full size fridge in the basement that we used for drinks. We had an issue with dock repairs occurring during our stay. The owner did communicate with us to make sure it was ok. The company doing the repairs was very flaky, but the owner did everything he could to get them to finish. Some funds were refunded make up for the trouble and ownership was very apologetic. Overall, this is a nice place, in a very nice cove, with good ownership. I would recommend.

This was our first visit to SML. The house and property were just as advertised. We had a very relaxing week. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and the grocery store and restaurants were very easy to get to.

The Lane Cabin

The cabin is very comfortable and has a lot of charm. The location on the lake is excellent, the quiet cove is great sitting and swimming. By car it is easy (for the lake area) to get to the grocery and other stores.

Peace and Quiet

We had a wonderful stay at the lake cabin. We found the kitchen to be well appointed and the beds comfortable. We rented a boat and were able to enjoy cruises and fishing on the lake. We also hiked in SML State Park, played cornhole and visited the wineries. Our kids even did the "Polar Plunge" in the 52F lake water. Something for everyone. I am happy to say, I am the undisputed cribbage champion of the the vacation!

Perfect!

We booked this as a last minute option to celebrate NYE/New Year. What a wonderful property. Clean, well laid out, all amenities as described. We enjoyed everything - especially the views from the 2nd floor dock. Campfire each night, hike each morning (at the nearby State Park) and lots of relaxing in between. Highly recommend!!

Relax by the lake!

Perfect house for our family vacation (two adults & three kids). The house is in a great location, very quiet and comfortable. Lots to do outdoors, we boated, fished, kayak'd and hiked. It had also been on our "Bucket List" to have a cabin retreat for weekend leisure....... so when we stumbled across this property, it was our dream come true! We hope you will enjoy all it has to offer as much as we have already in the short time we have owned it.

Great central location on the lake and in the area, near the State Park, near the main action on the lake, yet tucked just inside a quiet safe cove, and shopping is just a few miles away by car. Enjoy the quiet of the cabin in the beautifully wooded lot or stroll on down to the dock and hang out with family or friends for meals, socializing and water play!
