The host met us at the house and toured the house with us. A lovely property. Location is fabulous with beach close by and walks through Hope Ranch and other nearby parks.

Home is very nice, well kept but older decor; large TVs and big kitchen; six bedrooms but one bedroom has a small bed in what appears to be a former closet, so difficult except for children. We had 8 adults and it worked very well for our purpose of attending a school reunion in SB. Pam was friendly, helpful and not intrusive.

Wonderful, quiet, comfortable home!

We had a great time in this beautiful and spacious home, and it's wonderful yard and pool. Pam is a fantastic host, and met our every need. So close to the beach, yet we hardly wanted to leave.

Great family reunion

We loved our family reunion at this beautiful home - we enjoyed cooking meals together, playing games in the large living room and the lovely pool and hot tub in the backyard. It is also in a beautiful part of Santa Barbara. We look forward to returning!

Quiet and serene retreat

The whole family enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The well stocked kitchen was a plus for this family that loves to cook. Plenty of space to be together or to get a little alone time when needed. We would happily return.

Perfect for Family Fun

The property is lovely with beautiful grounds and many sleeping accommodations. The property homeowner met us and was warm and welcoming. She also made special accmodations for our grandchild with special needs. It was a wonderful stay and we would love to return.

Beautiful Spanish style Home

That was a treat getting to stay in this large Spanish style home on the north side of SB. There were plenty of rooms for large families like ours. We all enjoyed the pool immensely! Thank you again!

Great for large group

This was the perfect place for our large group. We had 3 separate families and had plenty of room to spread out throughout the house. Pamela was very accommodating and quick to respond. Our 3 kids had a great time in the jacuzzi and the open loft upstairs. The location was great and the property was beautiful. We would gladly stay again!

Family gathering

The host was wonderful! She was quick to communicate about any issues that arose. The heated hot tub and expansive grounds were great for the children. My stay

Had a great and a beautiful home with lots of space and cute little areas to spend a moment enjoying nature. The hot tub jets are not working and the pool was not ready to use

We were waiting for the part to arrive to get the jets working. with things as they are, it has taken a long time. It should arrive this week. If you plan to heat the pool, I need to know when you book. That way I can coordinate with my pool guy. It also takes time to get to the requested temperatures, especially with night dropping to the low 40s. Thank you!

We had the best time in this beautiful home. For this family trip, we had 10 adults and two babies at the house. There was plenty of room for us all to spend time together and to have time apart. Everyone enjoyed the pool & spa, as well as the beautiful grounds. The house contained everything we needed, including much needed kitchen items that other short-term rentals do not have. We also enjoyed the many books, the piano, and the various outdoor seating areas. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Wonderful house in a great location

The house is great, has everything you need for a vacation. I wish the description of the bedrooms was a little better, and/or more pics. We had a few members cancel so we it worked great, but if that didn’t happen, it would have been tight. Also, one of the bedrooms has a huge window with no blinds. Otherwise, I highly recommend the property. Amazing location, perfect amenities and several hang out areas. Very charming.

Paradise!

Lovely home filled with wonderful amenities. We stayed for nearly a week. The kids swam, we BBQ’d, made meals together, enjoyed dinner on the covered patio over looking the pool and had breakfast on the front terrace with a view of the garden. Large, luxurious home that was easily able to accommodate 9 of us, which included 3 kids. Pamela is a fantastic hostess. She took time to greet us on arrival and walk us through her home. Very responsive over chat with any questions we had. Highly recommend Pamela and her beautiful property.

Santa Barbara Serenity

This spacious home and its grounds provided our family of 8 with plenty of room both to have privacy and to come together in the large living room or family room or outside in the large pool/patio area. We ate outside and inside. We enjoyed the barbecue. The pool and spa gave us countless hours of fun and relaxation. The large front lawn area served as an excellent Whiffle ball playing field. The grand piano in the living room provided my daughter the opportunity to continue my granddaughters' lessons. Pamela, the owner, was readily accessible and immediately responsive to our questions and needs. We had a fabulous experience and hope to be able to return next summer.

Should Have Been…..

A beautiful piece of property that has much potential. The grounds were overgrown, not irrigated, particularly in the backyard. The house itself is spacious however very dated, and things are not maintained or some cheap furniture. Was disappointing on many levels. The owner was kind and accommodating But I felt there should have been better disclosure about the condition of the property. The prior Reviews or encouraging So it was very odd to walk into what we did.

I am astonished by these words. The house is exactly as shown in the photos. People love this home, the feelings of beauty and comfort it evokes, and many of my guests return.. I don't know what he means by "the prior reviews or encouraging". The home is immaculate and my gardeners do an amazing job. We do not waste water in Santa Barbara, but everything is cared for week by week. This is someone with an agenda and I would be sorry to see someone miss an opportunity to stay in this lovely home in an ideal location. All my reviews have been stellar up this point.

House has great potential

We were a group of 6 and stayed in the house for 3 nights. Great quiet location and a close drive to the beach and downtown. We enjoyed the outdoors but unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working ( no jets). We weren’t informed of this at all until we got to the house- we should’ve been made aware of this. Also should note that the 6th bedroom ( upstairs) is not for a full size adult, as it’s basically a mattress placed in a closet. It works for for a child- but not an adult, so we weren’t able to use the room at all. Overall the house needs some TLC and some of the fixtures/household items needs complete replacement.

This review is very misleading. I have had nothing but guests thrilled with my home. All appliances are in fine working order. There was a small issue with the dishwasher; I sent help immediately. The spa heated perfectly. I am waiting for a part to fix the jets. My young daughter's European bed closet is a treat for children, There are 5 other bedrooms- the house sleeps 11. Why would she need another room? It is a beautiful estate in wonderful condition in a perfect Santa Barbara location. There is no pleasing some people. According to my housekeeper. The house was left in reasonably good shape.

Beautiful and spacious

Our family of ten thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is nestled in a lush and quiet neighborhood. There is ample parking, a beautiful garden, and the house itself is clean, comfortable, and beyond spacious with adorable decor. My girls loved playing on both pianos and everyone was able to gather and unwind in the serene backyard, hot tub, and various dining and lounging areas. The Arroyo Beach is a couple minutes away by car and most other popular areas are a within 5-15 minutes drive. We only wish we could have stayed more days to enjoy the home and city more. Most importantly, Pamela, the owner, was such a delightful person to interact with. She kindly responded to all of our inquiries and provided helpful recommendations for our visit. She greeted us promptly for check in and made the house so warm and inviting. We were celebrating my father in law’s birthday and she presented him with a birthday card and fresh flowers all around the house. Pamela is kind-hearted and so personable, and our family would definitely work with her again for future visits to Santa Barbara. We are absolutely grateful for her accommodations. Thank you, Pamela!

I'm Pamela. I came to Santa Barbara straight out of high school to attend UCSB and couldn't imagine leaving. I became an English Teacher and taught at Dos Pueblos HS, mostly gifted and AP Students. Because I love to learn, I went to law school at night, and practiced law for a couple years. I much preferred teaching . Especially because I now had two children,I went back to teaching at the HS and then UCSB. I love people, dogs, traveling, reading and swimming in cold water. I still tutor and edit; I love working with young adults.

In 1988 my then husband and I bought this estate which had just been built. When we parted 23 years later, I did everything I could to keep this amazing house where my children grew up. We spent so many days walking to the beach or staying home enjoying our beautiful yet cozy spot. Financially I have needed to share my home with renters and , for the most part, It has been a great experience. This is an ideal place for families and friends to unite; wedding or graduation guests can share a home if they are in town for a special event. It's amazing for holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Think of quiet parties or office retreats in a beautiful residential area of stunning Santa Barbara. You will see from the photos that the house has been upgraded and is full of light. People often comment on what a good feeling they have just walking in.

Casa Pamela is a two minute drive from one of SBs most popular beaches. Shops and restaurants on the mesa are 5 minutes away by car and downtown is about a 10-15
minute drive. The estate is perfect for groups of 5-11 and is spread out into 3 distinct sleeping areas with adjacent shared space, allowing for both privacy and togetherness. You can hike, surf and relax at home or on the beach. The arts are celebrated here: concerts, film, museums, parades . so much for people of all ages to enjoy. You will want to come back.
