A Shore Thing exceeded our expectations - this is a beautiful, very well-maintained and well-stocked property. The location is excellent - two blocks off Shoreline Dr and easy walking distance to the Harbor and Downtown. Melissa and the team at Coastal Hideaways did an excellent job communicating with us prior to arrival, answering questions, and checking with us upon arrival. This was a great home for our family of nine vacation.

This house surpassed its description. Large, comfortable, and extremely well-appointed, it was immaculate upon arrival. Everything is in excellent condition. The pool area is well designed and lots of fun. And, significantly, the beach is nearer and more accessible than the description leads you to believe. It is a two block walk to a park and set of stairs that leads down to the ocean. The. beach there is close to the edges of tall, sheer dunes and filled with little inlets and recesses in which one can spread a blanket. The public beach is minutes -- yes, mere minutes, as in three or four -- away by car. There is plenty of (paid meter) parking available life guards, and great snack shack with table service right on the sand as well. We took our daughter and grandchildren there and had a fantastic time!

Wonderful Property and Great Location Best equipped vacation rental I have ever been in(everything you needed and more).Just minutes away from everything in Santa Barbara.

nice property, artfully decorated.

If temperatures below 80 then pool is cool. Not many supplies, need to provide toiletries, all food items and disposables.

Perfect Family gathering

This property was beautiful spacious and luxurious. We found it at the last minute when another property had to cancel because of weather damage. We were so pleased with the addition of the pool and hot tub. Our only regret is our stay wasn’t long enough to enjoy everything we wanted to. We hope to come back.

“A Shore Thing” was a fabulous home and the perfect location for a girls birthday weekend away. The pictures don’t even do it justice, honestly! It’s truly perfect for a small friends or family gathering. The large kitchen and living space was really ideal for us when we were hanging out together, and the bedrooms were really well situated and spread out around the house in a way that gave everyone needed privacy and accommodated everyone’s varying bedtime and waking schedules. Its located in a lovely residential area and super convenient to all of the downtown attractions, plus only a short drive to Montecito as well. It’s always a little stressful to be the one in charge of picking the accommodations, but this worked out perfectly and everyone was so pleased.

This place is even better than the photos. I think the photos don't do it justice. The house is amazing -very spacious, tons of places to sit, bedrooms are thoughtfully, well laid out. The pool and backyard are amazing. Very clean! Location is incredible. The only negative was the master suite upstairs does not have any type of door so if you're looking to have some privacy and you don't want ppl barging in on you, this is not the room to stay in lol. I highly recommend that they add a door. The only other issue was a security guard came by at like 8 PM for a noise violation. It was pretty comical, considering we were all in the house watching TV. The kids had been in the pool at like 7:30 At the latest. And yes, they were giggling and screaming and having fun. It was too young girls. The security guard himself laughed about it- because it sounds like the neighbors are super paranoid and don't want you making any noise? it's a beautiful neighborhood but it was a little over the top! If we owned the house, we probably would've been in the pool laughing until 10 PM. Or perhaps they send a security guard over just to double check how many people are there and if we are who we say we are? Either way he was super friendly about it, but it was 8PM and we were eating pizza with our children.
