Very nice condo with all the amenities close to the beach and beautiful views. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and Hawaii truly is paradise.

Great property clean safe friendly everyone in building super friendly the only issue we had was the hot tub was closed in evenings do to the lights being out this was are only issue with the building however are room was great excellent accommodations and I loved that we were able to see what are host was like by all the pieces of them their all the surf awards their books It didn’t feel so much like we were staying in a strangers place

Awesome Locaton with Beautiful views, and at a Great Price!

Welcome to Paradise! We have stayed in Waikiki for over 20 years, and have stayed at many different properties....This by far is the BEST ever! It's ideal location was perfect for our family. We were just steps to the sand. The condo was very spacious with lots of room to relax, with very comfortable furniture, unlike many 1bedroom condos we have stayed in. With the kitchen being stocked with many items I use at home, and the amazing view, we opted to take advantage by eating most meals prepared at the condo and enjoyed our morning coffee watching whales splash (spectacular) and the afternoon surfers catching some pretty nice waves. The owners were so accommodating and gracious.......our kids said they never want to stay anywhere else again! So we have already booked our next stay, knowing that this building is quite hard to get into. It feels like home, being a private residence, and not a busy hotel, and at a much better price! Mahalo to the owners for such a great place, and an awesome vacation!

The property is a bit run down, not really worth all the money, except for the wonderful position

In two rooms the windows do not open because an A/C conditioner (pinguino style) is attacched to the window glass, and you cannot enjoy the trade winds but instead switch on the A/C. There are no bed tables or lamps that you can switch off from the bed, no electrical outlet in the bedroom. Furniture is a memory of its old glory, not enough closet space! The owner keeps his own stuff in the main closet. The tiles of the floor are broken here and there. There is no parking stall with this apt and the owner should pay for the inconvenience of parking nearby... and he does not. It is a 180$ more to park at the nearby Waikiki Banyan. There were three open house appointments while I was there, one on the last day of my stay when I needed the apt for myself to pack. Not very professional!! All this said the view of the ocean from the 25th floor is fantastic!!

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

We were really impressed with this condo, the owner was right on with the renovation, very clean and well maintained, good closet space for hanging our clothes, shelves for our folded items, I used the wall to wall cabinet in which the retractable flat screen TV is located for all my many Tee shirts, shorts and board shorts for the month with more space available for snacks, the TV, and AC was a plus, WI-FI internet access was great for (work) main land contacts or local events. Tina met us upon arrival and gave us a walk through showing us where everything was located and the storage room down the hall with chairs, umbrellas, the laundry facilities with several washers and dryers located on the second floor was very useful, pool area is great, secured parking stall a plus. I should have taken more advantage of the gym and sauna facilities, visiting (sampling) walking past the great restaurant’s every day (oh-brudda) the waist line didn’t move much. I your walking across the street to the beach or to Diamond Head park, you'll not be bored enjoying all of the activities waiting for you to enjoy! This condo is perfect for couples wanting to have privacy while maintaining their independent schedule. We have booked another month this summer. good the bad & the ugly

My wife and I traveled from Australia & stayed here for 2 weeks in March. I have been reluctant to write a review until I saw the one posted from Seattle. We also had a bad experience on arrival. This is not acceptable for a listing that considers itself luxurious....which it is not....at best average. When we arrived we also experienced the confusion with the key to get into our room.The security guy at the entrance has no idea as to what was going on but did his best to help us.First impressions make a difference. The Foster Tower is an old and somewhat antiquated building and for the most part is occupied with permanent residence but it does sit on prime real estate....however when you walk to the beach opposite the Tower and directly across the street you will discover the beach is undergoing renovations and the view is non existent. It would of been nice if we were told this at time of booking. It's worth noting that if you have any problems in the condo that the caretaker is only contactable via e-mail....there is no phone in the room or for that matter in the Foster Tower. As we were travelling we did not want to take our cell phones so had to use the phone at a hotel down the road. We had rain on and off for the 1st week of our stay and found out the unit leaks. We came back to our room to find a large pool of water in the living area.....i would of classed this as an emergency but was unable to contact the owner so had to clean it up myself with towels supplied for showering....then had to wash and dry those at my expense.. I did get an apology though. Worth noting-there are no bedside tables and one person has no access to the other side of the bed which is pushed up against the wall. After 2 weeks of this it was a pain....far from luxurious. The air conditioning is noisy and needs replacing and the fridge leaked water from time to time. This was our 10th visit to waikiki in as many years and while we enjoyed our trip we also would not reccommend the Foster Tower. There are far better choices to choose from.....waikiki accommodation is full of choices. On the bright side- the location is ideal and free parking was a bonus- I would suggest anyone staying here should ask for a meet and greet with the owner on arrival.

 5 Stars all the way for Bear’s place and the service of his property manager Shane. Look no further if you want the best accommodations and view right in the middle of Waikiki and just steps from the beach. Much Aloha and many Mahalo’s for our wonderful experience here

Awesome Condo and location; Best 6 months of my retirement!!!

This one bedroom condo exceeded my expectations in every regard. Very spacious livingroom/diningroom combination with separate bedroom, kingsize bed, tremendous storage with closets, armoire, dresser and end tables, spacious bathroom. Beyond fully equipped kitchen with everything I needed and more; beach gear including chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, beach toys for kids, beach towels. Decor is spectacular, earth tones, heavy, beautiful wood furniture, with tasteful and interesting island theme throughout. Marble floors throughout. Corner condo with three breathtaking views, the Ocean View, Diamondhead, and Ko'olau Mountain Range with its spectacular rainbows on a sunny day. Cross one street and you are on the beach; amazing.!!! Terrific for children with zoo and aquarium nearby and wonderful lagoon where the water ebbs and flows through a fenestrated wall, so children can't wash out to sea or be knocked down by waves, but has two excellent beaches on either side where surfers are out every day before sunup and excellent public beach parks with all the amenities. Two cable TVs, DVD player, WiFi for in-house entertainment; excellent salt water pool and fabulous gym. Street fairs, festivals, parades, outdoor movie screen, Friday night fireworks, farmers' markets, tremendous number of excellent restaurants all just outside on Kalakaua Avenue, the main drag, and one block from extensive public bus transportation to everywhere on the island.. The icing on the cake is the people of Foster Tower, who are all so friendly and helpful; the security staff, the building manager and staff, the property manager, even the mailman is a gem and if you are lucky enough to meet Bear, the landlord and his lovely wife you are in for a great treat and lots of interesting, wonderful stories. They are the warmest, most generous couple I have ever met. My retirement plans have me moving on to other locations in the world, but I will always have very fond, wonderful memories of my six months here in Waikiki. Mahalo!!!! .

The condo is very nice and comfortable. The view of Waikiki Beach is amazing! The location is great. It is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and groceries. Bear was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly during the booking process and through out our stay.

The location was excellent, almost on the beach. I liked that there was security 24 hours and we were on the top floor! Having a kitchen saved us some money and the views were very nice, no rooftops or onlookers. 🙂

Fantastic location and large size suite.

The location of the suite cannot be beat. Literally across from the beach. It is a very comfortable suite that was much larger in size than and easily accommodated my family. Living room furniture was very comfortable and so was bed. We had issue with one of the AC unit and that was rectified by property manager. The kitchen area does need updating and so does the bathroom. The blinds also need to be updated since some are missing. Overall, if I were returning back to Hawaii, I would reserve again because the suite size and location cannot be beat.

Superior Views, Superior Location, Superior Condo

Our family just spent a wonderful time in this amazing 1 bedroom condominium. The pictures do not do justice to the actual views to be had from this 25th floor unit. My wife and I spent our mornings and evenings on the enclosed lanai with the windows open, enjoying the cooling summer trade winds, and taking in this bird's eye view of the Waikiki beaches. Just a quick elevator ride, and we were steps away from the main beaches to enjoy the surf and sun. My wife and daughters never once felt cramped in the spacious unit. We loved being able to prepare our own meals in the unit and save money, given the high cost of eating out in Waikiki. My youngest daughter really enjoyed being able to ride the elevator down the fourth floor, and swim in complex's nice pool. We will definitely stay here again, when we return.

Location, location, location. Awesome condo and great location

Location, location, location! This condo was just fantastic. The pictures do not give justice to the spacious living room bedroom and dinning room areas not to mention the awesome views. Having stayed in Waikiki before, it can be hard to find a great place to stay for a reasonable price. The search is over! This unit has spectacular views from the 25th floor overlooking Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and gorgeous mountains. The unit was perfect for our family of 4 (children 13 and 15 yrs) and has plenty of space to feel at home for the month. We are a family of surfers with two children so my husband and I were so happy to be able to look out at the beautiful view overlooking the ocean and surf and take in the gorgeous sunrise. The condo is conveniently located and very clean upon arrival. The cal King bed was very comfortable. We saved a ton of money by going to Costco and cooking most of our meals in the unit, but it was great to be able to walk to an ABC store or to Food Pantry if we needed something else. You can also go downstairs to the restaurant/bar to eat, cross the street from the beach. Our children used the heated pool a few times in the afternoons. There is a small gym in the building or you could go to the 24 hour fitness right across the street if you're tired of relaxing! There is also laundry in the building with lots of clean machines. We have already booked this unit for next year. The property manager is very nice and responded right away when we had questions about the unit before we booked it. Excellent condo with breathtaking views.

My husband and I had a great vacation and a wonderful rental experience in this condo. The location cannot be better. Foster Tower is a great building with nice heated salt water swimming pool and gym. Security guard 24/7. We had a perfect combination of enjoying Waikiki and exploring other parts of the island. The condo has everything you need. We will definitely book this rental next year again. Mahalo!

Gorgeouse view

The property was clean, spacious, great location and great views. The accommodations were perfect for us. The kitchen contained everything we needed to prepare meals. The bed was very comfortable, including the couch. We all used the gym and loved it. We were across from the beach, shopping and restaurants. The property manager was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this property without hesitation, however I would like to keep it a secret :)

Unliveable without proper Air Conditioning. No recommendation....it's a ...."DUMP".

There are many good units here, ..."THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM". No unit should be rented without proper AIR CONDITIONING. Listing indicates 2 new portable units. Only one works! The bedroom cooled from 82 degrees to 77 degrees at night. Living area never cooled. At 9:24 am, it was 89 degrees, at 9:30 am, 91 degrees. Pictures were sent to owner. Unit has east facing windows with partial coverings allowing heat and light to enter. No kitchen window covering. Unit is very hot, un-breathable. The Foster Tower is old. During a rainstorm, top floor above flooded, units windows leaked. On 8/30, the FT lost power on the top 3 floors. All electricity ceased from 10:30 pm until 8:15 am. We had to check into a hotel at midnight as the heat rose to over 90 degrees and without AC/lights the unit was UNLIVABLE. Owners refused to compensate us for this day and we remained in the hotel for final 2 days of 18 day stay. If AC had worked properly, unit would only be marginally acceptable. Unit had a 4-page book of rules, 1. don't wear shoes or bed shoes in the unit, 2. don't open windows wider than a few inches too avoid anything being blown over 3. don't put anything on the bathroom sink unit, use the closet, 4. put the dishes back in the same place when used. Kitchen not renovated, cabin doors missing or broken hinges. Bathroom sinks were clogged and took minutes to drain, leaving a filthy mess requiring constant cleaning. The bathroom light fixtures were rusty. Bathroom fan ceased functioning. Bedroom ceiling fan constantly wobbled badly. TV remote didn't function properly, as spoken words annoyingly appeared on the TV. Owner stated no one could fix the problem. The bedroom pillows were horribly thin. Bathroom and closet doors scraped the floor and were not easy to open or close. There wasn't a complete set of sheets to change the bedroom. The unit is not as good as portrayed in the pictures. Suggestions would be to certainly install "REAL AC UNITS" that work properly, fix the fans, replace the windows, get better pillows, unclog the bathroom sinks, fix the TV, paint the unit. Room fans would help with heat and air flow problems. This unit should be renovated. Met only one owner, pleasant enough, but unsympathetic to power outage and AC issues. The proper thing would have been to reimburse us for the power outage hotel stay, despite rental contract language. Our deposit was promptly returned. We cannot recommend.

Great Condo, Great Waikiki Location, Great Views!!

The Condo is exactly as it appears in the photos. As soon as you walk in and familiarise yourself with the layout and the views you are spellbound. The Condo feels like it is yours forever!! Very accurately described in the website regarding features and amenities. All the conveniences exist to allow you to treat it as your home away from home. You have the option of using as many of the amenities as you wish or none at all. The option is yours. Laundry on the 2nd floor is closer than you think especially with the lightening fast elevators. Very centrally located to all parts of Waikiki. Secured entry to the building as well as round the clock Security Guards in the Foyer are a valuable asset. We are a family of four - 2 adults and 2 young children. The sleeping arrangements suited us well but it should be noted that the couches in the living room are not recommended for adults or tall children. A more practical solution would be a sofa bed (lounges that open out to become a bed). That would make the condo an excellent choice for all groups. The Condo is situated on the Diamond Head - Mauka (mountain) side of the building giving it a lovely cool breezy afternoon feel without losing the views of Waikiki Beach to Diamond Head. We never needed to use the air conditioner. All in all a very comfortable Condo with an abundance of features. Great place to spend a month of your life in Waikiki. Would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending this Condo. Mahalo to the Owners for ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Fantastic condo with incredible views!

Stayed here with my family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. The condo is big with nice furniture and great views. We cooked our meal almost every day. Kitchen has everything you need. The owners where very nice and gave us information on what to do and see on the Island. We will be back! Thanks again!

Great view!

The owners were very easy to work with and very helpful! The view was terrific and my husband saw over 20 whale breeches - his only wish was that it had been an open lanai because he likes being outside. Love the location! The kitchen was stocked with many appliances. The condo is quite roomy with comfortable furniture.

A great place for a great vacation

The apartment is well portrayed in its pictures - it is spacious, bright, has spectacular views, and is close to everything. The beach is yards away, restaurants couldn't be much closer, and parks and food stores very nearby. We had a great time and would love to return! The only things precluding a 5 star rating were window coverings on a number of windows which did not work, seriously leaking bathroom sink faucets, and a missing door handle on the refrigerator....all easy upgrades to allow for a higher rating. However, it needs to be noted that the unit does not have sleeping for 4 adults. There is a wonderful king bed for 2. 2 younger kids could sleep on the 2 very comfortable loveseats, but those are far too small for the typical adult. Arguably, a 3rd adult could sleep on the very comfortable easy chair/ottoman combo but this should in no way be construed as a bed. -

Great location - you can't get any better than this

This is a great place in a wonderful location. It worked out perfectly for my wife and our 1 1/2 year old toddler. Right across from the beach, which is perfect for babies and families. We'd go down to the beach every morning, back to the place for lunch and a nap for the baby, and then back to the beach for the evening. It's at the quiet end of Waikiki, yet is close walking distance to everything... The owner is very helpful also.

We will be back!!

We Absolutely LOVED this Foster Tower condo. Nicely decorated, fabulous view overseeing the ocean, Diamond Head and the mountains. Cross winds were perfect, we did not use the AC. The beach and ocean is a cross the street. The waves allowed for boogie boarders and surfers. We watched amazing sunrises while having breakfast on the enclosed balcony. The condo was thoroughly stocked with utensils and appliances, even some groceries. Excellent restaurants, shopping and parks close by. Mahalo nui loa guys, we will be back! :)
