Notre code postal est Sugar Grove, mais la cabane est Ă  seulement 5 km du magasin gĂ©nĂ©ral historique Mast Ă  Valle Crucis et est situĂ©e dans un quartier agricole rural juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de la Watauga River Road. Vous pourrez pĂȘcher, faire du canoĂ« ou nager dans la riviĂšre Watauga Ă  3,2 km. Apportez votre vĂ©lo de montagne et profitez de la pente douce de la Watauga River Road ... ou pour un peu plus d'aventure, laissez notre expert en vĂ©lo de montagne rĂ©sident vous recommander un sentier Ă  proximitĂ© qui correspond Ă  vos capacitĂ©s ...
Aucune climatisation nécessaire à notre endroit ombragé dans les montagnes fraßches de NC. La cabine a des ventilateurs de plafond dans chaque chambre et dans les deux espaces de vie pour aider à ces journées chaudes occasionnelles en été.
Les boutiques de l'historique magasin gĂ©nĂ©ral Mast ne sont qu'Ă  4,8 km. Des restaurants de tous types se trouvent Ă  proximitĂ© de Banner Elk, Boone et Blowing Rock ainsi qu'un couple dans le village de Valle Crucis lui-mĂȘme. Des sentiers de randonnĂ©e sont disponibles sur place ou Ă  une courte distance en voiture. Tyrolienne Ă  Hawksnest est Ă  25 minutes. Animaux non admis.

Et pendant les mois d'hiver ... Trois stations de ski sont dans un dĂ©lai de 25 Ă  40 min. conduire. Le ski de fond sur place est disponible si les conditions de neige sont bonnes. Le snow tubing est une option pour les non-skieurs dans certaines stations de ski Ă  proximitĂ©. À la fin de la journĂ©e, rentrez chez vous dans un bain Ă  remous relaxant. Quatre roues motrices ou traction intĂ©grale est nĂ©cessaire pour l'allĂ©e s'il neige.

The cabin was extremely clean and in excellent condition. We really appreciated the privacy and seclusion — it made for a relaxing stay. Its proximity to Valle Crucis and Banner Elk was a great bonus, making it easy to explore the area while still feeling tucked away. The host’s instructions were clear and straightforward, which made everything seamless. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking here again soon!

We enjoyed the location and serenity of the cabin. There is no central heat/hair but the individual heaters and the electric heaters downstairs kept it pretty cozy. The hot tub was very clean and the string lights behind. It gave it a nice relaxing touch. The driveway is steep. However, it is manageable without four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive if you know how to do it. I have a sedan and as long as I kept a good speed, I made it up the driveway with no problems. There are large divets and places where the driveway looks like it’s eroded or washed out so just be mindful of those areas when driving a sedan. We had a few hiccups with the cabin but the host responded quickly and was very gracious. We would consider staying here again.

Took my whole family on a ski trip for my 50th birthday, 6 adults, two kids, and it couldn’t have been any better of a trip starting with this wonderful gem we came across! Absolutely beautiful on the inside, plenty of room, and oh so cozy! Felt comfortable we made a great choice. Sooo quiet ! Had everything we needed to cook meals as far as utensils and pots/pans, silverware, etc. And the jacuzzi was the cherry on top! Especially since this 50 year old still snowboards. I definitely recommend staying here, and will hopefully stay here again. 10/10

The entire experience was amazing! From great communication, to the cabin itself; every part of this weekend was perfect! My husband and I had such a relaxing time, the bed was perfect, the place was cozy and peaceful, and the watching the snow fall just topped it! We will definitely come back

Hot tub and grounds were beautiful. Quick ride to all the ski resorts. Next time I would have went into downtown Boone for some shopping and a meal, I didn’t realize how cute and close till headed out of town. It was a great family trip. Host was so responsive and had everything we needed on site.

Angela was absolutely fantastic and so was her cabin! It was clean, warm, and exactly what we needed for a getaway. We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday here. We absolutely cannot wait to return!!

This house was just what our family needed during our restful mountain get away. It was secluded for great privacy but not too far away for amenities. It was just a gorgeous drive. I would recommend 4wd or AWD for the driveway, but it wasn't too bad! We can't wait to come back again!

We stayed two nights in the beautiful cabin. My husband and I came to the mountains to just relax and do nothing. It was perfect. We enjoyed star gazing at night and reading and chilling during the day. We did go visit Mast General, which is just a short drive away. It is very clean and comfortable.

Boone cabin get away

Weekend getaway

The property was everything we needed. It was remote but yet close to Boone. The host was very communicative and the directions provided were very detailed and guided us directly to property. Property was tidy and the hot tub was a nice addition. I would stay here again for sure.

Secluded Cabin

We had a great time. Took my girlfriend and her sister and husband skiing for the first time and this was a great place to relax our bruises from the ski slopes.

Picture Perfect!

What a beautiful property! It was a slice of heaven and covered in beautiful white snow during our stay. We enjoyed a few attractions near by, Mystery Hill and Hawksnest Snow Tubing. Downtown Blowing Rock as well.Returning to the coziness and warmth of Bear Tree Cabin ended our outings amazingly. The hot tub was definitely a 10/10, huge hit with my 7 yo.The cabin was stocked and Mrs Angela was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had! I hope we can return in the summer and spring!Truly a slice of heaven!

A resident of Watauga county for most of his life, owner Jim Henson has traveled around the world climbing mountains including Kilimanjaro, Mt. Elbrus, and Mt. Ranier. He is an avid mountain biker and enjoys playing tennis. He grows Christmas trees on part of his farm, but the vast majority of his 250 acres is woodlands and he has donated a conservation easement on more than half of his land to the Blue Ridge Conservancy. When you inquire about the cabin, you will be corresponding with Jim's assistant, Angela.

After owning the 250-acre farm for over 40 years, Jim decided to build a cabin in 2006 for friends and family to share the beauty of the location. Valle Crucis is centrally located to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock.

Bear Tree cabin gets its name from an unusual natural formation on a tree near the cabin. The wooded surroundings allow for the discovery of many of Mother Nature's wonders while its central location is convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk!
