For the price, some things should be in better shape. In the dining room, there were several dead wasps, & a dead bug in the kitchen. The dryer & dishwasher don't work well. The floor is uneven in various places. The plastic plates are in bad shape & unappetizing. A Keurig machine for coffee would've been nice.. There were no special touches to make us feel welcome. No welcome booklet or anything similar out in the open, just an outdated little booklet hidden under a photo. We booked for 8, but there were only 7 dining chairs. The place was VERY hot & stuffy upon arrival, and it's hard to cool it to a comfortable temperature. Also, kind of unusual to have to remove sheets & start a load before leaving, as well as to haul our trash away. Disappointed by the fact that although we were honest & told them one of the paddles sank & disappeared, we were charged a 50 fee to replace it (although it was not brand new.)The 2 nicer kayaks & 2 good paddleboards made it fun to enjoy the lake. There was also a junky kayak, & a couple of blow-up floating vessels; one had a few leaks. There weren't enough life jackets (for adults) or oars. The dock wasn't in the water, & it was a little hard to know which dock we could use.The house was pretty big, with plenty of towels available for use. The ping-pong table was fun, too. Overall, not bad, but considering the price, things should've been in better shape, aired out, de-bugged, & there should've been some nice, welcoming touches.
