Thank you for your review. We take your comments very much to heart in order to improve our services. First of all, we thank you that you found our manager very nice and friendly; he offers every guest, including you, a nice bottle of Cava as a welcome gift. We are sorry to read that we did not meet your expectations, despite the fact that we accepted you as a guest while you had not paid through the vrbo platform before checking in. Also, you did not provide us your mobile number in order for us to speak to you (regarding time of check in), despite several requests from our side. We accepted you as a guest, despite the fact that, within a 6-hour period on the day of check-in, you've sent us emails through the vbro platform saying that you would check in that same day at 6pm, then another email saying you would check in at 8pm, then after 9pm and finally after 10pm. Our manager went each time of the new check-in hour, again, to the apartment, to welcome you and hand over the keys. Because you did not give us your mobile number we could not communicate efficiently. Despite the fact that the VRBO site clearly mentions that we charge 150 euros for a late check-in (= after 20pm), we only charged you 25 euros when you finally checked-in at 22:30pm. We offer every guest toilet paper, shower soap, shampoo, dishwasher cubes, washing powder, coffee Senseo pads etc. We have done this for you too (I was there myself one day before you checked in) and we are very sorry to hear you claim otherwise. We also notified you about the government's drought-saving measures: a new law that requires water pressure to be reduced during certain periods, especially late evening and early morning times. This is a new climate measure that we, Europeans, respect with great reverence. We have resolved the following, for which we thank you for reporting it: - water outlet in right sink was blocked by hairs - we did not find ants in the kitchen as you indicated, however we did check the whole apartment and outside on the terrace, there were indeed ants under the dining table where food leftovers were, they have been removed - light switch in the bedroom has been repaired: a fuse had blown (although you could still use the two switched next to the bed so you did have light in the bedroom) The temperature control is done through a home automation climatization application that adjusts the temperature depending on the weather and outside temperature. The underground parking garages are built extra shockproof against earthquakes: you indicate that these columns are "randomly placed", this is to protect you from earthquakes. It is very efficient to communicate via whatsapp or directly via mobile on the day our guests check-in: our manager sends a message to the guests with google location and directions; I send an overview with interesting information about the apartment (wifi code, gate access codes, contact details of myself and my manager, nice restaurants and cities nearby, how to reach your private underground parking, contacts of doctors and hospitals/vets nearby...): this way you have all the necessary information in one place: one secure webpage which is password protected - pity you did not give us your mobile number on which we could contact you. All this information was also sent to you by email twice, 4 and 2 weeks before checking in. All the facilities of our apartement are given on the vrbo site and on my own website. Thank you very much for your review. We are very happy to read your positive review. Estepona is a charming city that is very ecological and eco-friendly. That is why we have beaches located in protected natural areas and other beaches built with white sand.

The outdoor pools close on 15 October because the night temperature cools the water off during the night. The pools are so big that they cannot be covered... as mentioned to you we have an indoor pool which opens when the outdoor pools are closed, so our guests have always swimming occasions. For security reasons they must close because the water temperature is not high enough to have people securely in the water. Kind regards, Birgit Elisabeth Hay

She will start on the 1st of April 2019 and she can also be contacted any time, in case our guests have questions during their stay. Thank you very much for your review and for helping us to provide better services. Clean and fresh bedsheets are always provided when our guests check in. The blinds were broken, unfortunately, by previous tenants, and it took us some weeks to have the blinds fixed. Now they are working and our guests can use the automatic control button for using the blinds. Our outside pools are open depending on the weather conditions.This is a measure for the benefit of the safety of our guests. Soms years the outside pools are open in november, some years they may be closed earlier. However, we always have the inside heated pool open and free to use any time for our guests.
