Overall, the apartment is good. The location is excellent. However, it is noisy from 0700-0130 due to the restaurants, activities around this area. However, given the location one should not expect quiet and peaceful. With updated being and an apartment entrance door lock upgrade the apartment would be perfect.

Beautiful location right on promenade, very clean, attentive host, view from balcony of Douro River, Gaia, D. Luis Bridge was such a treat. We would all definitely stay here again!

Lovely location by the river. Enjoyed the surrounding ambiance but be advised that the riverfront is very noisy well into the night-sometimes til 1 a.m. Also, early morning construction noise.Coffee machine needs to be replaced-never could find a store that sold those pods.Hostess was very nice.

Location location location

This is a charming apartment in an old building, renovated 30 years ago. The location is simply stunning, and we loved sitting in the open windows listening to talented street musicians and the bustle outside, and watching the river traffic on the Duoro against the scenic background of the Luiz I bridge and the port houses opposite. The many restaurants immediately outside the door made it all too easy to pop out for a drink or meal. Be aware that the location is lively - having said which, the bedrooms at the back were quiet with the windows shut, and had effective aircon. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are OK but may be a challenge if you are self-catering. The fridge is large and did its job well!!Parking and driving are a nightmare. The car park on the opposite bank (less than 10 mins) is the best option but it’s 20 a day. Knowing what I know now, I’d go by train. Be aware that there are a lot of steps and hills in the area. A lot.

Beautiful apartment on the river, but very noisy.

Good stuff first: Right on the Douro River and absolutely beautiful!! Stunning!! Three windows open up to the view which is magnificent. The apartment is big with 2 great beds and the best pillows! The description in the listing is accurate. The not so good stuff: Parking is difficult, and must find parking at least .5 miles away. You have to walk with your cases to the apartment. This was Not clarified upon reservation. You are above several restaurants, below another rental and next to a full time resident with a small, barkie dog. Thankfully it is fairly quiet from 11pm to 9am, but beyond that is is full out noisy with strong music, people and just loud! The shower is a trickle of water. Everything feels kind of dirty. The host tries, but doesn’t speak great English and although she owns the building, does not live on-site. One morning, we were locked in the building as someone had dead bolted the lock and we were not given the key. We had to knock on doors in the building to get someone to let us out. Ok, it’s not to say we wouldn’t have stayed there, maybe not 5 nights, but 3? If you want the hustle and bustle and loud chaos, right in the very heart of it all, this is the place for you! Go for it!! If you are looking for something quiet, not so much.

Perfect location

Quaint 2 bedroom apartment in spectacular location. Host was wonderful. Views from dinning room were outstanding A bit challenging to get to but 2 parking garages nearby worth it!

Great location to River front area and Ribeira with lots of activity

We were looking for a location in the Ribeira area close to the Douro River. This unit definitely fits that description. It has a great view of the Douro River and the Ponte Luis bridge. There is a large variety of restaurants and bars in close walking distance from the unit. You can walk across the bridge to visit many Port houses. The unit is on the floor 4 and the only way to get to the unit is by walking up the stairs. The unit has great views out to the Ribeira area and the river. The unit itself is basic accommodation. Bedrooms are very basic with minimum place to store your clothes and no dressers or places to put your clothes. The kitchen has some basic dishes and cooking utensils, but is not updated.

Best location in Porto

The location and view of all the Port vintners over the river is amazing. Dulce was there to greet us upon our arrival. With numerous restaurants within steps of the house, we could not ask for more.

Beautiful view of the Douro River in the Ribeira area

The property has a direct view of the Douro river, and is in the heart of the Ribeira area. If you want to be where there is an active nightlife, this is a good option. You'll hear musical artists playing and singing right outside the apartment, and be steps away from restaurants and the river. If you want a quiet place, another location than the Ribeira area would be best. The apartment has been updated, though still a bit dated. The apartment owner was responsive to our inquiries about check in details when we asked, and was flexible with when we checked out. She was a pleasure to work with.

Perfect location in Porto

Small miscommunication about check in (time) and work being done on roof, however it was quickly overcome. The apartment was very nice, all the amenities one expects in an apartment. Dulce was wonderful, so, so sweet. Location is right on the Riberia and we could walk to all the main sights in Porto. The view is magical. An important item of ours was accidentally left behind and Dulce went out of her way to get it mailed by DHL the very next day. LOVED PORTO and highly recommend staying with Dulce. I would DEFINITELY stay with her again!
