Les condominiums La Iguana sont situés à l'extrémité nord de Half Moon Bay offrant une vue imprenable sur la baie et la mer des Caraïbes. La plongée en apnée à cette extrémité de la baie est parmi les meilleures de la région et est facilement accessible.

Unité # 4 a un lit King avec portes qui s'ouvrent sur le condo avec salle de bain privée et AC dans la chambre. Il y a maintenant Internet sans fil disponible à l'intérieur!

Les clients de La Iguana bénéficient d'un cadre privé, juste en dehors des sentiers battus et à quelques pas de la lagune de Yal-Ku. Deux piscines, dont une grande piscine avec couloir de nage dans une cour avec jardin, offrent l'occasion idéale de se rafraîchir et de se rafraîchir après une journée passée à explorer le grand récif maya ou les ruines antiques.

WOW - if you want a great place with a fantastic view - this is it! Beach out the front, warm water for snorkeling, good dining options. We rented bikes (Hector has all the contacts) and can't wait to return.

We absolutely loved the ocean view! The pools were very beautiful and well maintained as well. This condo is super stocked with all the kitchen stuff and gear you need for any adventure in the area. The bed was soooo comfortable! Also the property manager Hector was the most amazing host! We will be back!

Just around the corner from several restaurants, Ya Kul Cenote in very quiet low traffic end of Akumal Neighborhood. Great little beach area infront of condos. Easy water access, bring your water shoes, its a little bit of a rocky start. Neighbors were friendly, staff helpful - a fantastic experience.

The only problems were the oven did not work, but it was replaced the day before we left so the next tenants should be happy. One other thing was there was no way to plug up the sink to wash dishes. Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th time staying at Half Moon Bay and Akumal still remains a tranquil and scenic location to either stay for a while (lots of great restaurants within walking/biking distance) or to use as your base to explore the rest of the Mayan Riviera and Yucatan Peninsula. La Iguana offers great snorkelling right off the back yard as well a quiet beach front for chilling. We love to rent a car to make sure we visit some amazing cenotes that are close by as well as several Mayan ruins within doable driving distances. Visit and then come back for more and more. Paradise never gets boring!

Beautiful property in the perfect location

Reviewer Comments: Awesome views, amazing snorkeling, no huge piles of sargassum, friendly people, full kitchen for any meals, walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store and Yal-Ku lagoon, both a cool and a heated pool. Suggestion: go to the smaller south entrance of Yal-Ku (Snorkeling and Lagoon) and NOT the north (Riviera Maya). You can still swim in the same entire lagoon area. But the snorkeling is actually better at the south end anyway. No food is served at the south end, but you can bring a lunch, walk back to your condo, or walk to Morningstar for lunch.

HOT: Air Conditioning misleading

This is our fifth stay at La Laguna or La Sirena right next door. It is the first time we have been uncomfortable in the condo due to the heat. The listing shows air conditioning as an amenity. There is a unit in the bedroom. It keeps the bedroom and attached bath cool. However the rest of the unit was so hot that we had to spend our time in the bedroom. I wish I had read all the reviews before booking as others mentioned this as well. Grounds manager Hector is a class act and the property is clean and well cared for. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. Housekeeper was also very friendly and efficient. Snorkeling good for the rainy season. Highly recommend La Lunita restaurant just a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay again if a second air conditioning unit is installed in the living area.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We would not recommend this unit. The location is very quiet but the unit itself is very dated. The “living room” is pretty uncomfortable. The couches are old and lumpy. There are no drapes in the living room so in the afternoon the unit gets very warm. There is no AC in the main living area. The kitchen has almost no storage space for dry groceries. The bedroom does have AC but on windy evenings the widows rattle a lot.

Good Location and Close to Yal Ku Lagoon

Not sure when the building was completed, but it is in need of a facelift. There are some annoyances in the unit. The Master bath sink hot water just dribbles out. The windows really need to be washed inside and out. It is hard to see the beautiful Half Moon Bay because of cloudiness from salt film and debris. There is only one air conditioner in the unit and it was stated that it is in the Master Bedroom. It really is not sufficient to cool the entire condo. The toaster and coffee pot really need to be replaced. They are limping along. But, the views are outstanding and the pools, even though not heated, are refreshing at this time of year.

Reviewer Comments: First, the pros:beautiful viewslovely property2 (!) poolsFriendly and efficient staffWe liked the location on the northern edge of Half Moon Bay. It was tranquil. The staff was just great. Friendly, they looked after us better than expected. One of the pools was a plunge pool, which was colder than the sun pool. On a hot day, it was a welcome respite.Cons:Climate control does not adequately cool the entire unit.The furniture was very uncomfortable.While the unit had a single split cooling unit in the bedroom, it was not sufficient to cool the entire unit. Despite our efforts to keep the temperature below 90 degrees F, it was a challenge. The furniture, including a concrete couch with foam cushions and a folding futon, was not the most comfortable. The dining area, with a dinette set and 2 chairs, was also showing signs of wear. We found it difficult to find a comfortable spot to relax for more than 20 minutes.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved being at the upper end of Half Moon Bay as the location was quiet and very welcoming. It was a short walk to our favourite restaurants and to the new Northstar Cocina. The Northstar's food was exquisite and the serve out of this world. It became our daily stop for beverages and their incredible fish tacos. The property was going through renovations so we didn’t really get the peace, total quiet and feel for this great location. The staff were wonderful and did their best to keep the grounds as pristine as possible. The view from our unit was unbelievable as we could watch the sunrise and part of the sunset from our living room. The unit was dated but all the amenities were there that we were looking for. It was kept as clean as possible while the renovations were being done. The pictures of the unit need a small update to reflect the current owners but all said I would recommend this unit and would stay there again. We just love Akumal!!

I appreciate d the measures that Akumal has in place for Covid. It felt safer than the states. Our condo was beautiful and the snorkeling was peaceful. Sad to leave but I live Oregon. Stay at La Iguana

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great location to be away from the seaweed. Had great snorkeling right out our door.The only things that we didn't like about the condo were minor, but did effect the feeling of being cared for. We only had one very small bar of soap and one packet of shampoo upon arrival and were never given any more even though we ran out. The two wash clothes were only changed out every three days. In fact, they finally took the two dirty and left one clean. Most condos do provide enough coffee and condiments for the first morning. There was none. We even had to buy a box of filters. Otherwise the condo was very clean and comfortable. The outside maintenance men were friendly and kept the property spotless. We'd stay here again, just maybe in a different unit.

Lovely place, could use better management

Loved our time at La Iguana! Wish the office were more labeled and accessible and that the front desk were manned more frequently. Also would have liked curtains in the bedroom for a little privacy. Overall still a fabulous stay.
