Absolutely Fantastic Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Marlin Bay exceeded expectations in nearly every way. From booking to check-in and during our stay, the staff was welcoming, helpful and very friendly. A special shoutout to concierge Grace who was on-hand to loan us bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas and direct us to restaurants. A special shoutout out to the pool bartender Chef who whipped up delicious cocktails and made for a fun evening of conversation. Our adult kids spent hours at the pool and hot tub each evening and made good use of the outdoor pool table. The house itself was roomy, luxurious and provided amazing sunset views from the rooftop. For a first time visit to the keys, we appreciated the central location with many restaurants within walking distance (Key Fisheries next door was a favorite spot), and only an hour drive to Key West. All ain’t all, I don’t think we could have found a better place for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation.

The accommodations are first class in every way extremely clean, beds are comfortable, the come with everything you need. I want to make special mention of the staff they were all terrific especially Larry and Makail along with both of the bartenders out at the pool. All were so personable and nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed 1 1/2 weeks, Second time staying at Marlin Bay we love Marathon as well as this location. Staff is super top rated. Bartender was great and front office staff is who we dealt with. One issue is with all the non registered guest parking in the driveways and parking vehicles everywhere. Sometimes we had issues coming and going and they emptied there refuse in our cans on garbage days. We won't let a few turds spoil our fun or favorite location. Thank you for having us and we will be back next year in July.

Paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. Marlin Bay gave us one of the best vacation stays we've ever had. My husband and I visited for a week in late April and stayed in one of the houses (3829). The house was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable - looked just like the pictures and had everything we needed for the week, with a grocery store less than 5 minutes up the road. The pool was amazing and so relaxing. We ended almost all of our post-excursion afternoons by spending a few hours unwinding by the pool and grabbing cocktails at the pool bar. Kristin and Steve at the bar were great and fun to talk to, and in general all of the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and seemed just genuinely happy to be there (special shoutout to Isaiah for giving us some great local spots to check out!). Location was great, with plenty to do nearby (Crane Point Hammock and Bahia Honda State Park were fun outdoorsy places) and only an hour drive to Key West, which was perfect for a day trip. And watching the sunset by the water at the marina every night was something else - so serene! We've already told all our friends and family about Marlin Bay and can't wait to bring them with us next time!

Cleanliness is a big thing for me and it met my expectations. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. We loved walking out by the Marina and seeing all the ocean life. The pool was nice and spacious. It was always the perfect temperature and never overly crowded. The only complaint was my kids not being able to use balls in the pool. I get that this can out of hand and be annoying to some guests, but when the pool is practically empty, it would be great if there could be a middle ground.

A Wonderful Stay

The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals which we enjoyed on the balcony and roof terrace. The view from the roof terrace is spectacular and there is a very comfy sofa up there. We were really happy that the house had no bugs and the same could be said for the pool area, It's not an easy task in Florida. We had lunch at a different resort and there were ants everywhere so it was good to see that the Marlin is on top of this. The property really is well kept. The communication on booking and pre arrival was really good. Staff on property and security gates give a safe and secure feel. There are rules on the property regarding pool behavior and staff ensured these were adhered to and this made for a pleasant quiet and relaxing stay. Small maintenance issue handled quickly by Buffalo in a professional and friendly manner. Small details make it so nice, for example wine in cans and small bottles at the pool so you are not drinking bottles that have been open a long time. separate towels for outings, pool and the house and plenty of them. Excellent trash service. Marlin Bay restores my faith that there are still places that are interested in providing an excellent customer experience. Very good pool bar for drinks with really lovely staff and great staff on Marina also. Along with the concierge team and Allie and Maggie I can't say enough good things. Marathon is very nice friendly place. We walked to four places for food and our two favorites were the Stuffed Pig and the Overseas Pub and Grill. Good food, good drinks and really good people at both places.

Wonderful Change of Scenery!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was gorgeous and perfectly equipped and maintained. Pool lounge chairs were very comfortable. Julie, the bartender was outstanding as was Buffalo, the general go to man, helping around the property. My only criticism is that I would have preferred to have a Keurig coffee machine instead of the Kitchen Aid (which is a good machine but doesn't make very good coffee). Excellent value, can't wait to return.
