Great rental! Smooth process!

Pre communication was easy with fast responses. The house was just as cute as it looked in pictures. Nice and clean with comfy beds and lots of beach toys. Great experience all around.

The house was clean and decorated nicely. After a small hiccup with our entry code for the front door, both the owner and the property management company checked in regularly to make sure the remainder of our stay went smoothly. The driveway is steep and the road to get to the house is narrow, but otherwise the location's great. Close to the beach, the Del Mar Fairgrounds/Racetrack, and freeway - all easily accessible.

Wonderful Stay

Property was very spacious, the furniture choices made this place feel like home . I appreciated the clean linens, comfortable beds. There were 2 bathrooms (listing says 1) - big difference when travelling with family. Quiet neighborhood, I enjoyed walking coffee in hand early in the morning. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and took many guesses on what the PVC pipes dotting the landscaping were for. Walked to the DelMar Fairgrounds for the 4th of July fireworks, glad for this proximity. Beach is a good hike, may not be walkable for many. No A/C - but we had the marine layer helping us out during our stay. This will be a deal breaker if SD is going through a heatwave. The ceiling fans helped, and we kept windows open. Kitchen was complete, appliances clean and new. Plenty of storage, loved that this rental included boogie boards, beach towels and chairs. Two grills to choose from and there's a gas fire place out front! Would come back again, but not in the dead of summer (unless owner decides to add A/C). Thank you for a great stay, will highly recommend.

Great house and location. We will certainly stay there again next year.

The house was immaculately clean. It has been recently been renovated very nicely and it looks brand new. New appliances and furniture and is decorated nicely, just like the photos. The beds were very comfortable, with nice linens and there were plenty of clean towels – including beach towels! The bathrooms were clean and worked well – even with our family of seven showering after the beach, we never ran out of hot water. Having a washer and dryer was great and they worked really well. There’s even a gas fire pit on the patio that we used to make s’mores one night. The cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach toys provided were a great surprise and made our beach trips so easy. This property is beautiful and in a very convenient location. Some of the best, least crowded beaches in San Diego County are only minutes away, it’s only minutes to the Del Mar Racetrack and super-fast and easy access to the freeway. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and there many different restaurants and shopping near-by. The owner and management team were very easy to work with and very accommodating. They checked with us a couple of times to be sure we were comfortable and their app made finding the location, lock access, getting Wi-Fi and TV details and check-out really easy. We highly recommend this location, especially for families! My kids are already asking me to schedule next year’s trip back to Hernandez. If you stay here, be sure to walk down to Tony’s Jacal restaurant for the area’s best Mexican food and friendly service and get great NY pizza by the slice at nearby Bongiorno's!

House is in a good location for access to freeways & also not far from beaches & other activities. Owner was really helpful, management company not so much, but not bad. We would stay here again.

Das Haus hat entgegen der Angabe im Inserat zwei Bäder. Es ist tippi toppi eingerichtet, super kommode, Neighborhood ruhig! Wundervoll! Wir konnten von dort sternenförmig alle Strände in der Umgebung erkunden! Für 4 Leute genug Raum zum entfalten! Alles administrativen Dinge, check in and out super easy! Hervorragend!

Great Experience

Great little house - well laid out, great location, had everything we needed for a fantastic, comfortable stay. Front porch was fantastic for enjoying the beautiful evenings. Rental company super responsive and engaging.

Great Location - Poor Management Company

The location was great. The online listing was accurate and amenities listed were present. Plenty of towels as well. The management company did a poor job in communication. I reached out at 9 pm the night before arrival to ask for arrival instructions. Upon arrival I responded to their request for issues upon arrival. I indicated two of the windows did not lock and did not have wood dowels to prevent break ins. Additionally I let the management company know that the towel rack in one of the bathrooms was barely on the wall. Neither of the issues were responded to or remedied. We did not receive full check out instructions until after we had vacated the property. The owners of the property was very responsive. I hope that they consider a new management company.
