Diamond Bungalow - Nouvellement rénové 1929 Artisan près de la plage et du casino

Ce joyau d'une maison vient d'être restauré et rénové avec amour. 7 personnes confortablement. Cuisine gastronomique avec cuisinière à gaz et conduit en cuivre, comptoir en marbre, dosseret en marbre, baignoire en fonte / porcelaine à pattes apparentes et douche pleine grandeur par le maître. 2 1/2 salles de bains rendent le séjour plus confortable. Plein porche et aperçu du golfe. Étapes à suivre pour le casino Island View. Venez séjourner, cuisiner et visiter la magnifique côte. La propriété est située à moins de 3 km du ferry de Ship Island et des plages au sable blanc et à l’amusement. Super endroit pour une escapade romantique ou un séjour en famille. La maison est ma rénovation chérie que nous avons reconstruite à partir du sol, tout en conservant les anciens planchers en pin à feuilles longues, les plafonds de 9 pieds et les magnifiques fenêtres en diamant, d'où son nom. Si vous recherchez quelque chose de spécial et PAS générique, vous l'avez trouvé! Des images plus récentes de chambres finies à venir - 2 chambres ont une salle de bain et une à l'arrière (2 lits jumeaux) se trouve du côté droit de la maison.

Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach!

Beautiful home! Very clean the beds were super comfortable. The beach was less than a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend staying here the house had lots of charm. We have zero complaints!

Thank you for staying. Glad you liked the house. You are certainly correct, the area is in need of multiple improvements post storm and in beach vicinity as noted in description. Fortunately, the area has vastly improved since I purchased house. For $46 a person a night less than 2 blocks from beach and right near the gorgeous Island View Casino, I hope you found the very reasonable charge logical. I hope you can find a better fit next time. The Diamond Sparkles!

My sons and I completely enjoyed our stay and Lilly's renovated Diamond Bungalow. Near the beach...just a short drive up the coast to Biloxi....cool and comfortable. The train was actually comforting as childhood nostalgia. We had absolutely no issues whatsoever! Thank you Lilly!

Lovely Place, just absolutely lovely

Lilly, the owner calls this property The Diamond. It is called that because of the many windows, but really it’s a fantastic property in the middle of a neighborhood that is recovering from all the hurricanes. It’s so charming and sweetly decorated. It’s near everything you could need or want to do. We took our kids to the beach at night and during the day, 2 mins away. We also went on a dolphin cruise (4 mins away), gator ranch in Moss point (40 mins away), the discovery center (10 mins), and has lots of fun just hanging out with each other and eating most of our meals in this adorable cozy house. Loved it!

Loved hosting this kind, fun family who found the Diamond after a long year with the Pandemic. So glad timing worked out.. Communication was great and they upheld rules and suggestions. I enjoyed hearing that the kiddos liked the bunk beds and the near-by beach. Welcome anytime.

My dream was to restore an old property somewhere close to the water. This was it. We gutted to the studs in the areas that were destroyed, raised and straightened, and saved the floors and picture moulding, but most important, the diamond mullion windows ! A dream to do. Now I share it with you. This isn't my business, this is my home. It may sound corny, but it's personal.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

A true craftsman down to the solid pillars. Lath and plaster walls, solid wood construction, old single-paned windows (not energy efficient, but true to her heritage). I saved this house from demolition.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The home is on the National Registry of Historic Places, but the blessing is that I learned this after much research and work. It was built in 1923 and has withstood many, many storms. Uniquely, she didn't flood during Katrina, but the word on the street was that the chicken that the port brought in was all around the neighborhood making for one big mess. Fortunately, we have moved from that terrible time and now again hear the trains whistle (yes, several times a day), feels like moving back in history. Gulfport is gorgeous, with grit and interest. I love it.
