Best rental in Sylvan Beach

Great house. A block and a half from the beach. Great neighborhood, no traffic, amazing big private yard with a huge fire pit and lots of wood provided to burn. Playground in the yard and across the street. Huge screened in patio with indoor grill and bar! Thiswas our second uear here and we love it!

Wonderful Late Summer Vacation

This house was everything we hoped for. Spacious, beautiful, great amenities, and lots of fun extras. You won’t need anything but your food. Rick is super nice and responsive. Definitely one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. Highly recommend staying at this property. We’ll be back!

Great long weekend

The house was perfect for 2 families. Good location, short walk to beach and village. Bikes were a great feature especially for the kids and the house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. Will definitely be back!

overall a good place for the most part...

The place could have been a little cleaner. Master bedroom smelled musty. Listing needs to be updated, as the area you rent is not in the house...its the garage turned into the rental. However, the inside shown in the pictures is what you are renting...livingroom, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, outdoor bar area. Beware of the neighbors...they are very nasty people. Ignore them and you'll be ok.. Rick is extremely nice guy and very accommodating.

Double booked

Original house reserved was double booked and wasnt notified until check in date. Owner did give us an "equivalent" property that was newer, however had less sleeping space and wasnt as private, new location was on corner lot. All of the properties are duplexes it seems, which is deceiving in the pictures. The walls, at least where we stayed, were paper thin in the bedroom and could hear everything being said by the neighbors. Ammenities were nice however bicycles are shared with neighbors and everytime we went to use, the neighbors had them. Owner is very responsive and willing to accommodate.

Perfect vacation spot

Rick was amazing. Always asking if we needed anything. Everything we did need was there. Lots of room outside for us and the kids. Lots of bikes to ride. It was great.

Daughter’s birthday trip

Great location, walkable to beach and little downtown. Amazing host! Offered multiple amenities from linens and bedding to tooth paste, shampoo, tooth brushes. Would highly recommend.

Perfect custom cottage

Everything here is wonderful- everything you could need is there- Very full of kitchen appliances! Great fire pit lots of wood- great yard for taking the dogs out in. So many custom details in the interior- state of the art shower! So cozy in so many ways! Thank you for sharing your special with us!

Experience exceeded expectations!!

I needed a place to host my daughter, spouse, dog and in-laws for her baby shower, and it was perfect. The host was very accommodating and helpful. I grew up in this area and it was a great experience. Thank you Rick for making this a very enjoyable experience!!!

Perfect for families!

Tons to do for kids- games, bikes, playground, popcorn machine and cotton candy maker! The neighborhood is beautiful and safe, half mile walk into the adorable town right on the lake. Lots of beds, and the owner thought of all the little details- extra toothbrushes, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. We loved our time there!

Such an amazing weekend..

Everything you need is inside this house, so pack LIGHT. Such a great host who provided so much for us. Town is small, but very cute. Beautiful house. Definitely plan on returning next year!

Loved it

The neighborhood was quiet, great location to attractions. Short walk to the beach and stores.. Property owner and housekeeper were very friendly and attentive, always available if we needed anything. I would love to go back again next year if not before
