We had a great time visiting our son and his partner. Plus, we rode the Rogue River on Jerry’s Jet Boats and hiked in Redwood National Park. This is a fantastic location! Thanks for the memories!

The dryer and fridge both broke but the host was on it and even refunded our groceries that we lost. We also met the owner. She was very kind and gave us chips and guacamole. Thank you!

The place is nice but we wanted to grill after a long day of traveling and the grill wouldn’t light, on top of there maybe not even being enough propane in the tank for one time of grilling and no spare tank. Also the refrigerator didn’t work and we woke up the next morning to all of our food being barely below room temperature. There were six of us staying and there were only 2 washcloths between the two bathrooms and I finally found two more in a closet. The host’s response was to use a hand towel. The place was fairly clean though and the host did provide some nice recommendations on what to do in the area which I appreciated.

The duplex is large and inviting. So comfortable. Location is perfect. We Loved it. The host gave us ideas for activities to do. We tried most of them and had an Amazing time! The place is so close to everything we wanted to do! Lots of food choices. We went to Trees of Mystery. Go early, less crowds. The cost was so worth it. Canopy bridges above the trees. A gondola ride up the mountain. We went on the Howland Hill drive. Sooo Amazing! We tried the Boy Scout Trail. It was long and too much for us. We then did the Stout trail. This was easy walking, and trees were unbelievable! Definitely, do this! The beach was a bonus for us because we were here for the trees. We walked to the lighthouse and drove out to the pier and walked out watching the people fishing and crabbing. This gear is in the garage if you want to try it out. We went out to Point St. George. Our favorite beach was the sandy beach, you can mostly access during low tide, but we saw the most Amazing sunset their during almost high tide. My daughter enjoyed looking for agates. We had a little trouble finding it, You keep going past St Johnathan Park and its a turn out with nice cement steps that go down to the beach. We also loved how close the water was everywhere we went. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful

We had a phenomenal stay. The host answered any and all questions we had about a possible tsunami prior to our arrival. The house was welcoming and clean. We were able to walk to the beach on the first night to see a beautiful sunset. It was also very close to the Redwood Forest which was our main goal while traveling.

Location was great, came for the Redwoods loved that, ended up going to the Battery Point Lighthouse at low tide and was so surprised by this little addition to our trip. The time spent exploring the sea life in the tide pools were a highlight of our trip. My 10 and 7 year old loved exploring. House was exactly what we needed and one of the better stocked houses I’ve stayed in.
