De nouveaux luminaires fraîchement peints, un tapis blanc cassé et une porte coulissante en verre donnant sur la cour arrière de la chambre lit king-size apportent une sensation de lumière et d'espace à votre séjour. C'est un quartier calme avec un accès pratique à l'aéroport de Monterey, à l'aquarium, à Big Sur, au Carmel, à Laguna Seca (prendre la route de retour et éviter la circulation), au parcours de golf de Blackhorse Bayonette, à Cannery Row, au quai des pêcheurs. Excellent communication by host. Spacious house and clean, great hot tub! We especially appreciated that our dog was welcome. The view of the bay from the front room is quite spectacular. Also loved all the cozy seating options.

It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope to see you again. Our staff work very hard and will be so pleased that you had a wonderful time. Dena works very diligently to make sure the hot tub is ready for guests. For future guests: We use a small sponge that looks like a turtle to help keep the tub clean. If you see it in the tub. Please let it stay. It's supposed to float around. It absorbs oils.

Thanks for staying. We do have two normal sized parking spaces in the driveway which are easy to access even for vehicles as large as pickup trucks. if you have a third vehicle we recommend parking two doors down on a bigger street. On such a big holiday weekend all the neighbors had company which is why we recommend parking on San Pablo.
Not sure why parking would give us a 3 review unless it’s retaliatory since your daughter’s dog urinated in the living room by the front door. Covering it up with an Amazon box you covered it with, didn’t hide it by the way. Luckily we have an amazing carpet cleaner who uses only organic products who was able to erase the stain. We do appreciate your positive comments about the views and hot tub.

The kitchen (sink and dishrack were not clean. Sponge was used and had pieces missing from it, as it was old.) Hallway bathroom was not clean. I went to Target and purchased rubber gloves and cleaning agents. Refrigerator was an older model and handle was missing. One cockroach was found in kitchen. Washing machine dial was held together with two bobby pins and duct tape. Owner was notified via text messages.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take cleanliness and maintenance seriously and were in the home the same day prior to checkout.
The washing machine is fully functional. When a replacement handle was unavailable, a professional handyman implemented a creative and secure solution that actually improved the operation, allowing the appliance to continue working reliably.
The refrigerator is an older model, but it is dependable and functions exactly as intended—an oldie but goodie. We prioritize reliability over unnecessary replacement.
The home is professionally cleaned between every stay and inspected regularly. We also maintain preventative pest control; while uncommon, isolated insects can occasionally occur in any home.
The house is furnished to comfortably accommodate both short stays and larger groups, and guest preferences can naturally vary. Well, a small group of three people like yours might not appreciate the fact that two of the bedrooms have two beds instead of one large larger groups do appreciate this are pictures on the website accurately reflect the spacious size of our rooms.We wish you the best in your future travels.

Fabulous Ocean Views, Chef’s Dream Kitchen, and Total SerenityWe absolutely loved our stay at this gem of a property! Nestled on a huge lot, the home offered breathtaking ocean views. A highlight was the 400-square-foot kitchen—spacious and perfect for anyone who loves to cook. The layout made it easy to stay connected, and the house itself was spotless—truly one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in. We also loved how close we were to everything: just 4.5 miles from the Aquarium and only 2 miles from most of the beaches. The natural surroundings were just as impressive: with 6k acres of protected land behind the house, the peaceful sounds of nature were the perfect soundtrack to our morning coffee in the succulent garden. We loved the scenic trail from the house up to the water towers with the panoramic views of the entire bay. We were able to get our steps in here. We’ll definitely be back—this place is a rare find!

I have stayed at many Vrbo homes over the years. My stay at your fantastic home in Seaside ranks at the top of the list in comparison.
Your beautiful home was very inviting from the minute I walked in. The beds are extremely comfortable, the abundance of kitchen and bath accessories fulfills every need, the artistically pleasing decor is a delight to the visual senses, and the wireless light switches provide a surprising and brilliant convenience.
I am leaving totally refreshed knowing that I have a refuge to return to whenever I need one.

Cute house convenient to tourist attractions
GPS took us directly to the property. Nice having laundry on the property after hiking for 6 days. Kitchen is large enough for multiple people to work; dishwasher has to be rolled in and connected to sink, which we had never done, so we hand washed everything. Lots of hot water for 9 ppl to shower back to back. Beds are comfortable- especially adding the memory foam topper to the sleeper sofa. Kids loved the hot tub. Plethora of seating options for lounging. Bedrooms are a little cramped so multiple pieces of luggage are difficult to arrange. Overall we were happy staying in this cottage while visiting Monterey.

Great Sunsets
The property is as described. The 2nd bed in the 2 bedrooms was a plus. We only used one of them. We had nine people and there was space for everyone. We appreciated having the washer and dryer and the little extras in the cupboards(spices, cooking spray, etc.)that we didn’t think of bringing with us. Communication with Susan was A+. She was willing to answer all my questions before and during our stay. Very quick response from her. The sunsets from the front porch were spectacular. Convenient location, short drive to all we wanted to do and see in the area.

Cluttered? Please look at the photos. We don't have personal items here. No family photos or clothing in the closets. We do have large enough bedrooms to have a queen bed and a single. Does that make it cluttered? Does the fact that 2 of 3 bedrooms also have a flat screen tv or a desk make it cluttered? Many families have enjoyed this home with brand new grill and hot tub with small children. House needs updating? This is a beach house...with granite counters & new designer tile floors... if you want ocean air & views, great sunsets plus close to Big Sur, Monterey, and Carmel then this is the place for you. Our water pressure is standard. It's not super forceful but it is acceptable. There is a tradeoff here...want high water pressure -stay at your home without the beach nearby ...or you have average water pressure & go play on the beach then return to our place. Build a fire in the backyard fireplace. Crack open a bottle of vino and relax in the hot tub with the waterfall feature. PS only one of the six beds is higher than normal but it's very comfy & we have an ottoman available to step up if needed. There are also special grab bars etc for the mobility challenged in both bathrooms.

Communication with the owner was excellent. Unfortunately, the home needs a lot of updating, especially the electrical outlets. The home was clean on the surface, but could use a deep cleaning. Some appliaces are broken and need repair or replacement. Both bathrooms are outdated and worn. The outside needs ground maintenance.
The hot tub was nice and clean. The kitchen dining table was very nice and we spent a lot of our time there.

So glad you enjoyed our 400 Sq foot kitchen with gas fireplace, granite & tile floors plus counters.
People from the east coast often come with expectations that we will have green lawns when we are under water restrictions. Any house could always use updating somewhere. Our outlets work if you turn on the wall switch. We replaced our electrical panel & added new outlets less at great $$.
All appliances work -the washer the dryer, which is brand new. The stove is a gas stove -the refrigerator cools. The new microwave is also a convection oven & air fryer.
Drip coffee pot, tea kettles toasters, ninja blender & crockpots are 1 yr old.
Our dishwasher is one of the old-fashioned kind that rolls up to the sink & up to the sink, but it's large and it works easily.
We opted for it instead of cutting out a giant hole in our cabinets due to our granite countertops.
We replaced all linoleum with designer tile floors. Our hot tub is new and professionally maintained.
East Coasters are not accustomed to West Coast beach towns overlooking the ocean dont realize that we are literally on a sand dune with lots of succulents.
Our sleepy Beach town, and all the other homes:yards around are similar
We have a gardener he trims our trees and bushes and removes weeds. We would love to have lush flowers but it's just not possible when we have no rain til winter.
Pictures reflect our 1968 home accurately.
We update things like the new sliding glass doors often.

Amazing Place To Stay
The host is amazing and very accommodating! Staying in Susan's home was such a pleasure. My husband, daughter, grandson, and I had a wonderful time visiting. Our grandson stationed at Presidio was granted a leave to stay with us for the long Labor Day weekend. I placed an order at the grocery store with all his favorite foods, and we picked him up for breakfast Friday and picked up order at Safeway on way to Susan's place. There were more than enough dishes, pans, silverware, etc. You will lack for nothing. The grill worked great for the steaks, and the hot tub was clean and clear. There are more than enough towels and the furniture is comfortable. This home is roomy and the views are lovely. I cannot express enough what a delight it was to stay here. Thank you so much Susan.

Owner never sent code at the fifteen minutes to check in mark she set. Flagged down cleaner down. Front porch light does not work-major trip hazard as there are broken statuary and flower pots all over the place. Closets filled with furniture so no place for suitcases. Rugs on top of carpet rucking up, more trip hazard. No dish washer unless you want to take all the stuff on top of it, roll it across kitchen and hook it up to water & drainage. Dishes for a party of six for a week. Oh, joy. There was a coffee maker but the coffee filters were for a different machine. Warned not let dog out alone at night in case of mountain lions. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely not rent this again.

Darn it! I sure wish you had told us the front porch light bulb had burned out during your stay.
We always want to know if a light bulb goes out on one of our outdoor lights as we can either come over to replace the bulb or let a guest know that they are in a drawer in the kitchen.
There was a rare sighting of a mountain lion but that was a courtesy warning to make sure that when you do let your pet out at night to be ultra aware. It hasn’t been seen again in some time.
For future guests: we are always available via text or phone. This guest did NOT have to “flag” the cleaner down. She was there finishing up and knew she would give the lockbox code to the guests at the published check in time of 4 pm on her way out the door.
Re: the dishwasher has our welcome book on top inside a bread box. Wheeling it over to the sink means 6 ft and the bread box can easily stay on top. No need to remove anything. The dishwasher even has a butcher block top for preparing food and many of our guests enjoy using it by the fireplace while chatting with family. It works great.
We have plenty of coffee filters of diff sizes - if we run out pls let us know as door dash delivers in 20 min. We can’t support our guests if they don’t let us know about things that we can manage quite quickly. And we do want to make sure you have a great stay.

Nice owner, but disappointing stay
The owner, Susan is very pleasant and responsive. However, I would not stay at this property again. I’ve rented a lot of houses
and this was the worse. I’ll leave the remainder of my comments completely objective, so others can make a decision and decide whether to rent.
- The master bedroom smelled like animal urine.
- The listing sites the property has satellite/cable TV, but it doesn’t. It only gets local TV channels.
- Was unable to use the outside grill bc the grates were extremely dirty. The one with propane had mold on the grates.
- The house was not clean. Hair in the dishwasher and counters, old food under the bed.
- Ants in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We got ants in our luggage as a result.
- The hot tub water was green. Was told this was bc it was recently serviced (shocked) but didn’t seem right to us for it to still be green, so couldn’t use it.
Based on the price I paid I was expecting a better experience.

This is a laughable pre-emptive review by guest to try to avoid paying for damages left to my home. Yes we have photos. I'm a super host on other sites: read other reviews for reality. This guest left the house the worst we've almost ever seen. They spilled dark grey nail enamel on my white bath cabinet 14 x 2 inch on the inside & outside of the main door. No attempt was made to wipe it off. It couldn't be removed so it had to be sanded. The only odor we noted was the odor fr a toddlers smelly pull up pampers left all over the bath fl. For 3 days they didn't take those diapers to the outdoor trash??we filled two cans up! Who lives like that? Yes, we have photos & sent to guests. I made sure the house was clean & personally spot treated the carpets before these renters arrived. Just the normal spots fr when it rains & people walk in & out but these people left the living rm carpet with pizza sauce stains & more. Since I inspect carpets before guests arrive - I "know" who made any spills. Ants? Not before or after this guest have we ever seen any ants ...that's just not a problem we've ever had. I'm sure they brought with. I could've been there in 15 min to treat if that was even true. Dishwasher with hair in it? Ask yourself-just how does a dishwasher get hair in it? These people left ALL of their dishes in the dishwasher unrinsed & didn't run it. The only true item was that the hot tub water though impeccably clear as it was prof treated in between 2 sets of guests during xmas. Did have a faint green cast. A simple Google shows that copper in the water can cause it to have that color fr shocking it. I did send guest several sources fr the Internet, showing her this fact. We could have emptied the hot tub & refilled but it would be 24 hrs to get to temp. The water is safe to use & was at temp. FUTURE GUESTS: If there is anything that isn't as clean as you want it. Our team can be there in 15 to 30 min. I am a super host on other sites. It's not easy to be a super host. I would never host this guest again. Didn't follow any of the check out instructions & damaged my home. We didn't have enough time to get a second coat of paint on the bath cabinet Besides being a super host- I'm a nurse & i really care about cleanliness for my guests.

Great Monterey Stay
I really enjoyed staying here! The property was clean, quiet, spectacular views, and easy to get to. The property manager was responsive, helpful, and accommodating to a few of our weather driven check in challenges.

Perfect arrangement for families, 6 adults plus two grandchildren
An economical option compared to houses closer to the beach. Nonetheless access to Monterey State Beach, excellent, is straight down the hill. Many other attractions at an easy driving distance, but not just a walk across the road behind the house, as might be inferred from the advertisement. The house is easy to find, with a big illuminated street number, and there is room to park 3 cars, 2 in the driveway and one on street. The garden in front is well cared for and the house is clean. We grandparents took one room, and our grown children with their spouses and our grandchildren took the other two rooms. The kitchen is large and had all the accessories, like coffee grinder/maker, corkscrew, etc. etc. and a nice big refrigerator. The dining room table was very nice, high with stools, easily seats 8. We also enjoyed the outside table that caught the morning sun, outside by the hot tub, and we did enjoy the hot tub in the evening. The front deck chairs have a great view out over the bay and the city.
A couple of gripes, the kitchen cabinets were built for someone 7 feet tall. My wife couldn't reach anything! There were only 4 spoons in the cutlery drawer, but an oversupply of forks and knives. The dishwasher was out of order, no problem to wash by hand. Nothing major. You will be amused by the eclectic arrangement of furnishings and artifacts!

R&R with friends & family is the most rejuvenating. I always say: Change of lattitude, creates a change of attitude. I believe that home sharing is something we can do to help others feel safer from covid - away from more public places- yet still enjoying being somewhere new. I have a fur baby, Precious who travels with me.

I love how sunny this area is. When others are socked into the fog ...my house is at the top of the hill looking out over it. Flowers do well here. I love the sounds of the birds and ocean. The sunsets are amazing, so amazing that honestly...i prefer the sunset over the bay view. The back bedroom has a comfy king bed with a large sliding door to bring in sunlight and enjoy the back patio. The L shaped patio is wind protected and yet there is also an upper garden with a seating corner that has a view of the bay. This is why the property was named Many Ocean views. The house sits next to many trails with bay views.

Lots of privacy and sun. The front deck is so enjoyable in the afternoon. The neighbors are all truly nice people. That is rare these days. We all look out after each other. The Kitchen is nearly 400 sq feet with tile and granite plus a gas fireplace. The hot tub is just outside the kitchen sliding glass door. Our new hot tub with mini waterfall is in a private area of our multi leveled back yard.
