Peaceful Vibe

This is a lovely loft space, perfect for a restful getaway. The views from the solarium are incredible especially early in the morning.

Cozy Comfortable Loft

Our stay in the loft / solarium was amazing. The space is set up very nicely, with comfortable details in every corner. The space felt private even knowing there were other units in the home, and we enjoyed a nice romantic getaway. We would absolutely stay here again!

A place to soak up the sun!

We had a wonderful time. We were looking for a place to relax and we definitely found it. The solarium was a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise and sunset or curl up and read a book. We highly recommend this place! Shawn was very friendly as well.

Best place to go and relax!

What more can I say except it was the most beautiful, peaceful and gorgeous place to stay! It was clean and had everything you could possibly need. Shawna was so easy and welcoming! Would plan to take my whole family up. Best get away ever!

Plenty of room for us as a couple and gorgeous views! The bed was comfortable with a pillow top. We made meals there several times since there was plenty of cooking tools even in a kitchenette. Hot tub was heavenly. We used the kayaks which were easy to access and fun to tool around the bay. Shawn has each space set up so nicely with plenty of amenities and warm hospitality. I want to come back and bring my mom this time. Definitely recommend.

It was such a beautiful property. Calm and peaceful. Shawn showed us the entire property, which was fun and generous. She takes great pride, as she should, in offering this place to various travelers. Our “studio flat and solarium” was perfect for my husband and our 27yr old for a weekend. I loved waking up to the gorgeous view over the water. We enjoyed the hot tub and kayaking. It’s also a fairly short drive to North Beach and downtown Annapolis is around 30 minutes.

Oasis on the Water

We had a lovely time at this picturesque spot on the water, that was also close to adventure/exploration opportunities such as wineries, beaches, hiking and more. At Shawn's, we enjoyed coffee on the balcony with the birds, kayaking, the fire pit on a star-filled, moon-lit night with wine, champagne on the dock and a stroll along the water, as well as, a lovely chat with Shawn herself, who was so welcoming and gracious. This location, while tucked away in peace and solitude, is close to Solomons Island, Annapolis and more for excursions and day-trips. My friend and I have already talked about returning and possibly planning a wine club getaway here.

Beautiful spot for a solo vacay

I had a wonderful time here. I needed some rest and space, and this fit the bill perfectly. The flat where I stayed is up a flight of stairs, and the solarium and patio are nearly at eye level with an osprey's nest, so bring binoculars if you're into that. Shawn was so helpful in getting me set up with whatever I wanted to do: paint outside, kayak, sit on the dock, eat crabs, have a bite to eat. She is a lovely person and wants your stay to be the best. One minor note is that you can hear the other guests, which did not bother me but would probably depend on the courtesy and noise level of the other house guests. All in all, definitely recommend! Will be back.

Quaint Nook to Relax

The view is gorgeous. The space is small but it is perfect for two people looking to get away and spend quality time together. Perfect for building puzzles together or reading a book. We went while it was still cool outside so we didn’t use the water equipment, but when the weather is nice this would be an excellent quiet place to enjoy. Some of the extra items in the place seem a bit old, so I would recommend bringing whatever condiments or toiletries you may need. The freezer in the mini fridge did not keep our ice cream cold so I don’t recommend bringing frozen goods, but the fridge had enough space for us to put other food and drinks in for a few days. Be sure to bring an HDMI cable if you are wanting to watch a streaming service on the TV as there is not one in the room to connect your laptop to the TV. The soaking tub is super comfortable but do not plan to use the jets/bubbles as that is broken. The fresh outdoor lighting keeps the place feeling more open. There isn’t really anywhere to unpack your clothes so plan to keep them in your suitcase. There are several places to eat within 15-45 minutes and a few different grocery stores. We visited Annapolis while there and it was an easy drive.

Amazing hidden gem

The Flat was located just off the Chesapeake Bay on water with an amaziing view and accomodations. The flat included a large beautiful bathroom, a studio area with a kitchenette and an inviting sunroom. All of it was cozy, very clean and a refreshing getaway. Shawn was very personable and so accommodating. The location was so serene and close enough to Annapolis to visit. I hope to be able to return for even longer. It is truly a "hidden gem"

Relaxing

Beautiful property right on the water. We kayaked most mornings, caught crabs from the dock and cooked them up (delish!), fished, played corn hole, and read outside on the lounge chairs everyday. Close enough to Annapolis to enjoy a day there as well. Shawn was an amazing host and has supplied her rentals with everything you could think of. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Beautiful views, adorable lodging, amazing hospitality.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in the loft. Even though it’s part of the main house it feels very private because of the private entry. All windows in the place have jaw-droppingly beautiful water views. It’s so peaceful. Lots of ways to relax on the property in chairs and swings. We went kayaking both days with kayaks from the property. 15 mins away from yummy places to eat. There’s a fire pit and hot tub, but we didn’t have the opportunity to use them. Perhaps next time! Last but not least, Shawn is so nice and accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay!

Incredible property

The rental was adorable! It was squeaky clean and the decorating was well planned. I loved the bathroom, it was spotless and HUGE with a lovely walk-in shower. Shawn was an incredible host; she was friendly and had great recommendations of things to do in the area and places to eat. The free use of kayaks and a private dock made the entire stay complete. It was an awesome rental and I can hardly wait to go back!!! 10/10 would definitely stay again!!!
